Attendance
As with any learning medium, students must be in attendance regularly. If there is an emergency and you must miss a lesson, please contact PASCB before your class. Students that are repeatedly absent from classes that contain performance choreography will not be allowed to perform. The last week of regular classes, leading up to the end of the season performance, are mandatory for all dancers performing.
Students may not arrive more than 15 minutes before class and must be picked up promptly afterwards.
Students absent from class for 3 consecutive weeks without communication will automatically be
dropped from the class and must re-register.
Behavior:
Students are expected to be courteous, honest, kind, and abide by PASCB rules. All students and parents/guardians must conduct themselves in a respectful manner to others, to instructors, and themselves. Negative discussions about one another in the dressing room, studio, or waiting room will not be tolerated.
Talking in the classroom will not be tolerated. Students with repeated behavior problems and rule breaking will be sent to the director’s office and parents will be contacted.
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities:
We have a small waiting room for parents/guardians that wish to wait in the building for their student. Viewing the class is available but class interruption is prohibited. Due to fire hazard and safety purposes please ask your instructor the best place to be to view the class at your designated studio. Parents/Guardians/Visitors are expected to keep voices low and clean up after themselves. Our students need to focus during classes and noise is very disruptive to them. If siblings are waiting and becoming disruptive we ask they be taken outside.
**Due to city and state health regulations and guidelines the lobbies at both locations are currently closed. We ask that parents/guardians wait outside, in their vehicles, or drop off your student. If dropping off, please arrive 10 minutes before lesson ends.
Dismissal:
This studio reserves the right to cancel a student’s enrollment for the following, but are not limited to:
Three consecutive absences without communication
Non-payment or excessive late payment fees despite attempted contact
Not observing the policies of the studio
Physical and/or verbal abuse of staff or fellow students by parents/guardians or the student
Payment Policy:
Monthly Tuition is based on the number of hours taken by each student per a week. Payment is due on the 10th of every month. There is a $20 late charge for all payments received after the 13th of the month. A $30 late fee will be charged to your account after the 30th and your dancer will be unenrolled from all classes. Registration fees, recital fees, and costume fees are non-refundable. Monthly tuition remains the same for all months despite fewer classes (holidays) or more classes (5 week months).
Payment forms available are check, cash, debit/credit. Automatic payment is also available, please contact for more details.
*If there is an outstanding balance on our account, your student may not perform in our annual performance. You will be notified and required to pay in full by May 10th or your dancer may not perform.
Recital and Costume Policy:
Recital fees help offset the cost of our annual performance. We do not sell tickets. This is a free performance available to family and friends to attend. The Recital fee is non-refundable. Costume fees can not be refunded after costumes are ordered. The office must be contacted with any changes that affect the student’s costume before being ordered. All recital fees and costume fees must be paid in full by April 12th. Costumes will not be given out until costume fees have been paid in full.
The last week of classes and the 2 recital practices are MANDATORY and may not be missed by any student.
A recital packet will be sent out before the performance. Once you receive the packet it is your obligation to read through it fully and carefully.
Communication Policy:
It is extremely important to have clear, positive communication between PASCB and our students and families. Important class and studio information will be emailed through our monthly newsletter. It is each student or parent’s responsibility to make sure a current email is on file with the office and to check these monthly emails. If there is a missed class or if you do not enter the studio with your student, it is your responsibility to ask if you missed any information.
Makeup Policy:
It is detrimental to the student’s success that they do not miss any classes. However, we are aware that life happens. If you or your student have to miss a class, please contact the PASCB office and inform your teacher. We offer makeup classes for classes missed with another class that is similar in skill level within the same month. Please be aware that if you miss several classes your account will not be credited because makeups are available. When choreography has begun for our annual performance the student must be present for all classes.
Class Change Policy
If you do not feel that you or your student’s class is a good fit please contact the studio. You cannot change classes on your own. Approval must be given by the director. We are more than happy to work with you. Once choreography has begun and costumes have been ordered, students cannot change their class.
Pointe Shoe Policy
Each student will receive a letter approving them for pointe shoes. If you have not received this letter do not buy pointe shoes. Pointe shoes require strength, training, and discipline. Our goal is to train our dancers towards the goal of performing in pointe shoes. Students progress in their training differently. If we do not feel a student has reached the proper strength we will hold back from presenting the letter. Wearing pointe shoes when the body is not ready can cause harm. If you are coming from another studio and already have pointe shoes, you must get approval from the instructor.
By signing this, you are agreeing that you have read and understand all of PASCB policies and are willing to abide by them.
This signed document is valid for the entirety of you and your students time here at PASCB
