We, the staff at Ingram School of Dance, recognize our obligation to make sure our students and their parents are aware of the risks and hazards involved in participation in the various aspects of the art of dance. By continuing the registration process, you release Ingram School of Dance and all its employees from all claims on account of any injury which may be sustained by you or your child while attending any dance class, event or performance.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
You also acknowledge your responsibility in paying all registration fees, monthly tuition, costume fees, recital fees, and any other costs involved. All costs will be communicated in a timely manner well before their due date. You acknowledge that if your dancer withdraws at any time, you are responsible for your account balance at that time. Ingram School of Dance reserves the right to terminate lessons to any student without notice. In such case, a refund for unused lessons already paid for will be given.
TUITION DUE DATES:
The tuition due each month remains the same whether it is a long (5 lesson) month or a short (3 lesson) month and regardless of holidays or absences. Tuition will only be prorated for the initial month when the student starts dance lessons. After that, it will remain the same regardless. This is because tuition is based on a nine (9) month season and the total tuition for the current dance year is broken into nine (9) equal monthly payments. TUITION IS DUE ON THE 1ST OF EVERY MONTH and considered LATE if not paid by the 10th. Tuition may be paid by cash, check or credit/debit card, in person or online. Ingram School of Dance does not charge a late fee unless habitual tardiness occurs. A total of three (3) monthly payments made after the 10th of the month will trigger a $25 late fee should another payment be tardy.
TUITION AMOUNTS:
Tuition costs for one (1) student is $70.00 for the first class, $20.00 for the second class, and $10.00 for each additional class. For two (2) children (in the same household) tuition is $120.00 for 1 class each and $10.00 for each additional class. Information is available upon request for families with three (3) or more children. COMBO classes are treated as one (1) class tuition-wise, but as two (2) separate classes where costumes and recital dances are concerned.
Accounts must be paid in full in order to participate in recital or to register for a new dance year.
PREPAYMENT DISCOUNT:
Any dancer who pays for their entire year of tuition up front will receive a 10% discount.
RECITAL FEE:
Every family is required to pay a recital fee that will be due the first of March. The fee helps defray recital expenses and is calculated according to the number of families participating.
COSTUME FEES:
Costume prices range from $60.00 and up depending on the style and size. We do our best to keep expenses down while also ensuring a great looking costume. Costume fees are split into two payments. A deposit of $40.00 per student per class is due before Thanksgiving break. The remaining balance is due no later than January 15th.
SIZING/ORDERING COSTUMES:
Costumes are ordered over the Christmas break and usually begin arriving in April. We order from many different costume companies and each company has its own method of sizing costumes. After measuring each student, we compare measurements to each company’s size chart and order up a size if it is not readily clear which size your child needs. Costumes are not custom made to individual measurements. We order the size that best suits your child’s measurement. We welcome input from you as to what size you may want ordered/information concerning current growth spurts/etc. but this must be done prior to the start of Christmas break. There are no exchanges, returns or refunds on costumes, even if you have dropped that class. You are also responsible for all and any alterations that may need to be made to the costumes. Note - students are responsible for purchasing additional accessories for recital on their own (i.e. shoes and tights).
MAKE-UP CLASSES:
There are no refunds or credits given if a student is absent from class, however your student can take a make-up class. Check with your instructor as to when would be a good time to come.
PHOTO POLICY:
Photos featuring students in class or performing onstage are sometimes used on the studio website, Facebook, or other public places. Names are never given. You may opt out of such use during the online registration process, or at any time during the dance year.
POLICY CHANGES:
Ingram School of Dance reserves the right to change policies as needed. You will be notified of changes when they occur.
COMMUNICATION:
The studio communicates via notes sent home from class, messages posted in your online studio portal, text, email, and/or Facebook posts. Please be aware and on the lookout throughout the dance year and “like” the studio Facebook page so you don’t miss anything.
ACCEPTANCE:
By continuing the registration process, you acknowledge having read and accepted all of the above information.
