Ignite Dance Company Studio Rules
1. Front Lobby Behavior: Children must be always monitored and not allowed to run around the lobby area and dressing rooms. It is disturbing to other parents as well as distracting for the teachers, students, and front desk employee. We ask that electronic devices either be silenced or use headphones.
* No food, drink, or candy is permitted in the studio. This includes the lobby area. Water is allowed but must be in a container with a closable lid, no straws. Particles of food, no matter how small, on the bottom of a dance shoe can cause an accident and damage to our dance room floors.
** To keep our classrooms at an optimal size, our lobby is very small. We encourage you to drop your dancer off and pick them up, unless they attend our Creative Movement class. If you feel you must stay, we completely understand. However, we ask that you limit to 1 family member per child. We simply do not have room to accommodate large groups in our lobby.
Please, do not drop your dancer off more than 5 minutes early for class. Please pick up your dancer within 5 minutes of classes ending.
2. Dress Code: All dance wear below can and should be found at From the Top Dancewear: 4304 W Waco Dr 76710. When you arrive at From the Top, give the studio name, level and genre, and they will assist in finding the correct dancewear for you! Dancers stay more focused and work harder when properly dressed. Listed below is required dance wear for class.

ALL Dancers must have the proper shoes and dancewear to participate.
3. Attendance: Regular class attendance is necessary to maintain steady progress in the class. Poor attendance will result in poor training. Absences and tardiness can have a negative effect on the entire class.
4. Behavior: If a student is continually disruptive and/or disrespectful, a parent/teacher meeting will be called. If the issue is not resolved after a probationary period, the student will be asked to leave the studio.
5. Tuition: Tuition is based on a 4-week month. There will be months with more than 4 classes and months with less than 4 classes. Tuition will not vary according to the number of lessons in a month. Tuition is auto drafted on the 25th of each month for the upcoming month of dance. If you wish to pay in advance, you may. No refunds will be given on tuition, registration, costume or recital fees. If you plan to stop classes, you must notify Ignite 30 days prior to the draft date, or you will be subject to the following months tuition charges.
6. Payment Guidelines: Autopay is required for all dancers. If you fail to pay the balance by the 24th of each month, the card on file will be charged on the 25th. You will be responsible for any additional charges listed on the studio calendar. Only tuition is on our auto draft system.
7. Holidays/Studio closings: A studio calendar is attached. All costume payment dates, recital payment dates, and scheduled holidays have been listed. The studio will only close for the listed holidays. In the event of inclement weather, there will be a message left on the studio phone and everyone will be notified via email. If you are not notified, classes will be held. Make-up classes will be scheduled in the event of a weather cancellation.
8. Class Observation: Parents are not allowed to observe or interrupt classes. There is a monitor system in our lobby that shows Room 3. There will be a “Parent Watch Week” the week before Christmas break. This will be your chance to see what the kids have learned. A schedule of parent watch week will be emailed in November.
9. Recital Fee: A $95.00 recital fee will be charged to each dancer in April. This fee covers the rental of the facility, payment for technical workers, and staff. Our recital is free to the public. This fee is in lieu of ticket sales. If a student or parent damages any property of Midway ISD, they will be responsible for all charges incurred.
10. Cell Phones: Cell phones are not allowed into class: Dancers must leave them in the dressing room or at the front desk.
11. Failed Payments and Late Fees: ALL failed payments regardless of reason will be charged a $15 failed payment fee. This is per returned payment, not a 1-time fee. In addition, a tuition late fee of $15 will be applied to any tuition that is late due to returned payments or non-payments. A $15 late fee per student will apply to all miscellaneous charges not paid by end of day on the specified due date.
12. Class Enrollment: Classes with less than 40% enrollment for greater than 2 weeks’ time are subject to cancellation at the discretion of the studio director. We will do our best to accommodate those affected in other classes but ultimately the decision lies with the studio director.
