Assumption of Risk
I/we realize that participation in dance classes and activities could result in some possible personal injury. Despite precautions being taken by the studio, accidents and injuries may occur. I/we agree to release from responsibility El Alma de la Luna Foundation including all teachers, dancers, staff members, facilities and any special events venues used by both entities from any cause of action, claims, or demands now and in the future. I/we will not hold El Alma de la Luna Foundation, liable for any personal injury including scrapes, bruises, cuts, sprains, fractures, broken bones, concussions, death or any personal property damage/loss, which may occur on the premises before, during or after classes. Furthermore, I/we agree to obey the class and facility rules and take full responsibility for my/our behavior in addition to any damage I/we may cause to the facilities In the event that I/we should observe any unsafe conduct or conditions before, during or after my/our classes, I/we agree to report the unsafe conduct or conditions to the administrator, instructors or staff members as soon as possible.
Release of Liability
Release of Liability In consideration of allowing the previously-declared participant(s) to begin participation in El Alma de la Luna Foundation activities, while on the premises and property, the undersigned, for themselves, and/or being the legal and acting guardian of participant, acting for themselves and on behalf of the participant, release and hold harmless El Alma de la Luna Foundation its owners, officers, employees, and agents of and from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises upon which El Alma de la Luna Foundation is conducted, or any premises under the control and supervision of El Alma de la Luna Foundation its owners, officers, employees, or agents or in route to or from any of said premises, or while at any premises or place when activities sponsored by or participated in by El Alma de la Luna Foundation, its owners, officers, agents, or employees.
The undersigned acknowledges, understands, appreciates, and agrees for themselves and on behalf of the participant that their participation may result in possible exposure to and illnesses from infectious diseases, including, but not limited to, MRSA, influenza and COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releases or others and assume full responsibility for my participation and exposure.
Medical Emergencies
The undersigned gives permission for El Alma de la Luna Foundation. owners, officers, employees, and/or agents to seek emergency medical treatment for the participant(s) in the event they are unable to reach any parent or guardian. The undersigned also agrees that they themselves will be responsible for any financial debt incurred by said action.

Welcome Letter
Dear Parents and Students:
Welcome to the 2023-2024 season at El Alma de la Luna! The teaching staff is very excited to be working with you and your children. As El Alma de la Luna enters its 16years season, we reflect on the many students that have walked through our doors. Whether you are a new or returning student, we thank you for being a part of the El Alma de la Luna family and look forward to the numerous memories we will create together.
You should have received a class confirmation via email with your class schedule. If you did not, please contact our office so we can send you another copy. You can also log in online to your customer portal to view all of your account information.
Enclosed please find information explaining our email mailing list, our tuition and payment guidelines, and our studio policies.

Studio Directors
We believe that an open line of communication between the dance teacher and the parents is essential to a successful dance experience. Our teachers and directors will email the class periodically to update the parents on the progress of the class and any other pertinent class information. The studio will also email everyone regularly with all studio news, recital information, and information regarding new programs, special events, and contests/special offers. So, please check your email regularly!

Studio Policies
• If we are forced to close due to inclement weather, we will try to make-up classes. Please understand that we cannot be responsible for acts of Mother Nature. Snow dates do not affect your monthly tuition. School closings will be announced on the website, through our automatic text system, emailed to you, and posted on our social media. Our voicemail message will also inform you of any school closings.
• There is no discount or refund for missed classes. This term we are staring classes a week before the firms payment and that week of classes will be considered in case we cancel classes.
• Family discounts described are for immediate family only. Studio Management will make the final decision regarding family discount eligibility.
• All studio accounts have one primary account holder. This is the account holder that registers and signs the registration form. This account holder will be the one considered financially responsible for the account.
• We are not responsible for injuries sustained in class, on premises, or at any related event.
• The Studio is not responsible for lost or misplaced articles. Please put names on all belongings.
• Food and drink are prohibited in all classrooms at all times. Except water.
• Students should wait until the teacher is present before entering the classroom, unless directed otherwise. All students should exit the classroom at the end of class. Younger students whose parents have not yet arrived for pickup should wait with one of our office staff members. Students are not permitted to use the classrooms when a teacher is not present unless arrangements are made through the studio office.
• Any student with an overdue balance of more than 60 days will not be allowed into class until payment in full is received or payment arrangements have been made.
• Uniform or any orders can only be picked up once the account is paid in full with no balance remaining.
Keep Informed Through E-Mail
A majority of the information we send you will be sent through our email mailing list. Email helps us efficiently keep everyone up to date on news and events at El Alma de la Luna. We chose email to cut back on paper and envelope usage and to help the planet! Please make sure we have your correct email address on file. If you do not receive a certain email, all of our emails are available on our portal.
Online Account Portal
El Alma de la Luna is proud to offer an online solution for parents and account holders to access all of their account information online. This service allows users to process payments for charges, enter and modify contact information, and register for select classes from the comfort of their home - 24 hours a day.
If you’ve already logged in to our customer portal, dancestudio-pro.com/online/elalmadelaluna “ Portal sign In†link and log in with your email address and password. If you don’t remember your password, you can have your password emailed to you by clicking “Forgot Password?â€. For your security, our office is not able to look up your password. But we cand send you an email to reset your password.
Tuition and Payments
• Registration Fee - $25 (non-refundable)
• The studio calendar and tuition rate is designed over a ten-month period from August to May.
• All Lessons are paid for in advance, due the 15th of each month. You will not receive a bill prior to the due date of tuition. Late notices will be emailed to all past due accounts. There will be a $5 added charge for any account not paid in full by the 20th. This charge will continue to be added each month it remains late.
• There will be no refunds or deductions for lessons missed.
• Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. There will be a $25 returned check charge for all checks and or ACH payments returned from the bank.
• Automatic Monthly Payment Processing - your MasterCard, Visa, or Discover card will be automatically charged your tuition amount every 15st of the month.
• We need to receive a class withdrawal notification in order to suspend the automatic draft, in order to discontinue the payments we need to receive this notification at least two days before the payments is due. Once we process the payment, we won’t issue a refund.
Dance Shoes and Dancewear
• Modern Dance – Black Leotard, black ballet or jazz shoes, black leggings, sport pants or shorts.
• Folkloric Dance – Black Leotard, black ballet or jazz shoes, soft sole folkloric shoes, black leggings, sport pants or shorts. Girls: Folkloric practice skirt.
• Ballet – Black Leotard, pink ballet shoes, pink tights.
• Hair code. Hair must be secure in a bun at all classes.
Ballet shoes should be worn snug, with ties always tucked in. Ballet class requires a black leotard and pink tights, (skirts are not allowed). Hair should be up and away from face. A Ballet bun is preferred for Ballet classes. No necklaces, bracelets, & large earrings should be brought or worn to class.
Class Parties & Food Allergies
Please let the office staff and your child's teacher know of any food allergies your child may have so it can be added as a note on your account. If you are planning to bring anything for the class to enjoy (birthdays, etc.) please call the studio or email the teacher ahead of time. And not the day of the event so we can make arrangements.
Dancewear Boutique
You can visit our Dancewear Boutique at the studio for dance shoes, dance clothing, novelty dance gifts, and accessories. We are happy to help you select the right item for your class or size for your shoes. You are welcome to purchase from us or to visit your local dance retailer. We are a small business and your support help us grow.
Special Events
Throughout the year, you’ll find many exciting events happening at El Alma de la Luna example: Halloween, Christmas etc., we try to make our classes fun and safe. remember that participation is optional.
All of our special events like our recital are open to the public, so all of your children’s friends are welcome to join us too!

Join the Competition Team
The El Alma de la Luna Competition Team is a performance-based team for dancers who wish for additional performance opportunities throughout the year, to further build their technique, and to grow as dancers. The team competes locally 2 times per year and may travel nationally. The team also does several local performances around our community. This company offers professional training and exposes young aspiring dancers to opportunities that will enhance their dance knowledge, dance vocabulary, technical ability, and stage presence. Dancers will receive and invitation to join the team after the dancer completed a full season or if the teachers and directors consider the dancer to be eligible to join the team.
Annual Recital Production
Our Annual Dance Production is part of the student’s dance education; however, the student is not obligated to participate. Our recital is usually held at the end of May or beginning of June and each student will be required to attend classes regularly, attend rehearsals associated with the recital, and pay for any costume(s) use and recital fees.
Our Annual Recital Production is scheduled to be held in May 2024 and we always choose a venue where dancers can be comfortable and enjoy of its [state-of-the-art facilities, air-conditioning, seating capacity, proximity to the studio, etc.] The cost of the recital covers: Use of costumes, cost of production and administrative expenses, photography, and video.
The Recital payment is non-refundable, and you can make the payment in full or make 3 payments of $45, on the following dates. February 15, March 14 and Abril 15, for a total recital fee of $135
Costumes: there will be a designated class to measure costumes and assign them, in case you do not attend the class where costumes are assigned, we will not have a second date to bring costumes, and will assigned sizes doing everything possible to be the closest size of the participant.
Tickets: The cost is approximately $16 to $18 plus taxes and handling imposed by the theater. Tickets are on sale on the official theater website, and we will have a link to share as soon as the theater releases tickets on sale. usually the first week of March, Seats are numbered, and seat availability will be based on first come, first served. In case of loss or damage El Alma de la Luna is not responsible for replacing them. Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable.
Workshops
El Alma de la Luna is proud to offer workshops throughout the season!
Workshops are a great supplement to dancers’ weekly education in class, by learning additional choreography, trying different styles, and enhancing their movement vocabulary.
