CODE OF CONDUCT
Welcome to May Downs School of Dance! We believe in fostering a positive and uplifting environment for our dance family. Please familiarize yourself with our Code of Conduct to ensure a harmonious experience for all.
May Downs School of Dance is dedicated to creating a respectful, friendly, and supportive atmosphere among our staff, students, and parents. Our commitment involves nurturing every student, promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being, fostering a love of dance, and instilling dedication, discipline, and commitment.
To maintain the integrity of our dance community, adherence to the Code of Conduct is essential. Failure to comply may result in the suspension or termination of student enrolment. We extend a warm welcome to you, becoming an integral part of our May Downs family. Our goal is to make your journey, whether as a student or family member, a positive and joyful one.
Here are the key principles of our Code of Conduct:
1. Respectful Interaction:
Parents/Guardians, students, visitors, and May Downs School of Dance staff and teachers must treat each other with respect. Any form of bad language, abusive behaviour, bullying, or disruptive conduct is not acceptable.
2. Photography & Video Recording
Taking photos and video recording of classes is strictly prohibited unless directed or authorized by May Downs School of Dance. Please respect the privacy and artistic integrity of our classes and performances.
3. Positivity and Social Media Etiquette:
We encourage everyone to refrain from negativity towards the studio, students, parents, or May Downs School of Dance staff on-site or on social media platforms.
4. Respectful Studio Foyer:
Parents and siblings in the studio foyer should be considerate of classes in progress, maintaining a quiet environment.
5. Studio Tidiness:
Our studio facilities are for everyone's enjoyment. Please contribute to its upkeep by keeping it tidy and utilizing the provided bins.
6. Stay Informed:
Parents/Guardians, stay informed by carefully reading all provided information. Updates and event details will be communicated throughout the year via email.
7. Contact Information:
For general inquiries, student absences, injuries, etc., please email maydownsdance@outlook.com. For urgent matters, you can contact the Principal at 0407 487 666.

I have read, understand, and agree with he conditions of enrolment as stated in the 2024 May Downs Information booklet that was emailed to me, (if you didn't receive this, please contact Mr Thomas).

I give permission for my child to be photographed at the May Downs School of Dance by a delegated nominee for the purpose of promotions or to be uploaded to the May Downs Facebook page/ Instagram Page or website.
I also understand that unless given permission from the May Downs Team, under no circumstances is anyone permitted to video or photograph a class at the May Downs School of Dance.
