I, for myself, the named participant and our heirs, recognize and understand the risks of physical injury and/or death inherent to dance and dance training and I fully assume those risks. I hereby release Dance Central LLC, its employees and dance teachers from all liability for injuries and/or death sustained while attending or participating in any dance/exercise classes, rehearsals, workshops, or performances. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dance Central LLC, its employees and dance teachers of all liability and hereby acknowledge that I knowingly and voluntarily for myself, the named participant and our heirs, assume full responsibility for all risks of physical injury and/or death arising out of active participation in dance/exercise activities.

Protection of Property
I understand and agree that it is my sole responsibility to safeguard my personal property while attending or participating in any classes, rehearsals, workshops, or performances. I hereby release Dance Central LLC, its employees and dance teachers from all liability for loss or damage to my personal property while attending or participating in classes, rehearsals, workshops, or performances. I also agree to abide by any rules, regulations and policies set forth by Dance Central LLC.

Medical Attention
In case of physical injury or medical emergency, I hereby authorize Dance Central LLC to make arrangements to transport myself or the named participant to a medical treatment facility. All such transportation and medical treatment will be at my sole cost and expense. I understand that Dance Central LLC will make a reasonable attempt to notify the person(s) I have named below as my emergency contact(s).

Photo Release
Dance Central LLC reserves the right to use photographs and videos taken during classes, workshops, performances, or other affiliated events for any purposes whatsoever including instruction, advertising and promoting Dance Central LLC and its programs, without compensation to me.

Acknowledgement of Waiver
I acknowledge and represent that I have fully read and understand the content of this release as my own free act and deed; no oral representations, statements, or inducements have been made. I further state that I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and am fully competent to understand this agreement; and that I agree to this release for full, adequate, and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by the same. I further state that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude or restrict my or the named participant’s participation in this activity, and that I am solely responsible for any medical costs that may be attendant as a result of injury to me or the named participant.

Dance Central Code of Conduct

Teamwork: “the collaborative action of a group of people to work together toward a common goal”

Our staff works together collaboratively to provide our studio families with the best possible dance experience and, also, to provide a positive example of what teamwork looks like for our dancers. We are a united front with a shared mission and big goals, and together we are stronger in our pursuit of the goals that we set.
We expect all of our students and studio families to respect, support and celebrate one another. When one student succeeds, our hope is that our studio community will celebrate his or her achievements with them. When one student is struggling, our hope is that our studio community will be there to offer support and encouragement.

Integrity: “the alignment of actions with stated intentions and commitments; congruence between actions and values”

We believe that integrity is a skill that sets individuals apart from the masses, both in dance and in life. By prioritizing honesty, responsibility, and accountability, dancers develop a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence that will serve them well beyond the studio. It is for this reason that we make it a priority to instill these values in our students and encourage them to uphold them throughout their lives.
As a staff, we prioritize integrity by consistently upholding high ethical standards, fostering trust and respect between instructors, students, and their families. We strive to foster an environment of trust and respect, where everyone feels valued and supported, and where communication is open and transparent.

Respect: “to show consideration and care for”

Respect is the sole base of all positive relationships, and, therefore, an absolute necessity within our studio family. When we reference respect as one of our Core Values, we are referring to respect with three different perspectives in mind: respect for others, respect for self and respect for our physical studio space.
All staff are expected to treat all students and studio families with respect at all times, and the same is expected in return. To encourage respect for self, our staff works consistently with our dancers to reinforce the importance of positive self talk.

As leaders and educators, we prioritize excellence by cultivating an environment of relentless pursuit of the highest standards in dance. We believe in pushing our students to reach beyond their perceived limits, encouraging them to constantly refine their technique and artistry. Through disciplined practice and unwavering commitment, they develop the skills and resilience needed to excel not only in dance but also in all aspects of their lives.

We are committed to cultivating an environment where every dancer is encouraged to persevere through challenges, embrace setbacks as opportunities for growth, and develop an unyielding determination to achieve their goals. This commitment to grit is the foundation of our approach. Grit is the inner strength that propels us forward, enabling us to overcome obstacles and persist in the face of adversity. We firmly believe that dancers with the greatest grit are those who will not only reach their highest aspirations but also inspire others to do the same.

By following this code of conduct, we hope to create a positive and supportive environment where all dancers and families can grow and thrive. Anyone who fails to follow this code of conduct may face disciplinary action, including immediate dismissal from the studio. We believe in the power of positive reinforcement and will reward those who consistently demonstrate these core values.

We can only provide a refund back to the original payment method for accidental overpayment. For other situations, unless specified specifically elsewhere, we can provide a refund in the form of an account credit for future use, given that we have received a written request to hello@dancecentralct.com at least 48 hours before any services have been provided or 48 hours before the payment due date, whichever comes first.
Without a timely written request, at least 48 hours before any services have been provided or 48 hours before the payment due date, whichever comes first, sent to hello@dancecentralct.com, we cannot provide any form of refund. For regular September-June season class tuition, we cannot provide any form of refund after the payment due date has passed.


Refund Policy for Summer Dance Camps and Classes:

Once payment is made, refunds to the original payment method cannot be provided. However, we are happy to offer refunds in the form of account credit up until two weeks prior to the class or camp start date. After this period, no refunds will be possible. Thank you for your understanding.

We prioritize a respectful and positive environment for all dancers and families. At our dance studio, we prioritize a respectful and positive environment for all dancers and families. We reserve the right to promptly dismiss any dancer or family member found in breach of our code of conduct, whether in person or online. Please note that in such cases, no refunds of any kind will be provided, including but not limited to tuition, costumes, event fees, miscellaneous fees, etc. This policy ensures that our studio remains a safe and supportive space for everyone to learn and grow in dance. We appreciate your cooperation in upholding these standards to maintain the integrity of our community.

Registration Fee
Registration fees are due upon registration. This is an annual fee. Our registration fee is $35.00 for the first dancer in a family plus $15.00 for each additional dancer.

Tuition
Tuition is due up front every four weeks. There are a total of 9 or 10 payments per season, depending upon the date that
we secure for the recital. Your total tuition will vary depending upon your dancer's class load. You can view your dancer's total tuition amount in the Parent Portal.

Costume Fee
Costume fees are posted at the start of the season. A 25% non-refundable down payment is due by November 1st. The remaining balance is due by January 15th. (For dancers that join later than November 1st but before holiday break: The 25% non-refundable down payment is due upon registration, and the remaining balance is due by January 15th.) (For dancers that join after holiday break: A 50% non-refundable down payment is due upon registration, and the remaining balance is due 30 days following registration.)
The costume fee is $85.00 per class that will be performing in the recital. For Pre-K Ballet dancers, a pair of performance tights will be included in the costume fee.

Recital Package
Recital Package payments are due on April 1st. The recital package will cover your recital DVD, your access to view the recital video online on-demand, 2 tickets, a recital t-shirt for each dancer, as well as recital associated expenses including but not limited to: staff wages for dress rehearsal and the show, audio, lighting, venue, etc. There is a lot that goes into putting on a big production, and our goal is always to provide you, your families, and our dancers with the best possible experience! You will have the option to purchase additional tickets individually if you so choose.
The recital package is $105.00 per family with one dancer. For each additional dancer per family, $25.00 will be added to the total fee.

In the event that you decide to withdraw your dancer from their class(es), you must notify us at least 48 hours prior to the next payment due date to avoid non-refundable tuition charges for the next month of classes.

To avoid any costume related charges, you must send written notice of your dancer's withdrawal to hello@dancecentralct.com at least 48 hours prior to November 1st. The 25% costume fee down payment due on November 1st is non-refundable once due. If you do not officially withdraw your dancer from their class(es) at least 48 hours prior to January 15th, you will be responsible for the remaining balance of your costume fee with no opportunity for a credit or refund, as we cannot get refunded in any form at that point by the costume company.

For dancers that join after November 1st but before holiday break, the 25% non-refundable costume fee down payment is due upon registration, and the remaining balance of the costume fee is due by January 15th. For dancers that join after holiday break, a 50% non-refundable costume fee down payment is due upon registration, and the remaining balance is due 30 days following registration. Same refund rules apply--in order to avoid non-refundable costume charges we require at least 48 hours notice (prior to the due dates) in writing, sent to hello@dancecentralct.com.

To avoid being charged for your Recital Package, you must send written notice of your dancer's withdrawal to hello@dancecentralct.com at least 48 hours prior to the April 1st due date. This charge is non-refundable once due.
