POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Registration
An annual registration fee will be collected at time of enrollment. Registration is accepted on first come, first serve basis and is non-refundable. Classes will be closed to further enrollment once maximum capacity has been reached.There is a $50.00 per student per school year registration fee. $25 for each additional sibling registeringStudents who drop out temporarily will be required to renew registration at the rate of $35.
Tuition and Class PaymentsTuition is set to automatic debit from debit or credit card accounts. Due the 1st of each month. It will be considered late after the 5th and a $25.00 late fee will be automatically added. Tuition is divided into 10 equal installments. Will operate on 10-month season, August thru May.
Classes must be paid, prior the student attending.
No adjustment or credit will be given for missed classes. Missed classes cannot be used in place of payment.
Payments can be made by; cash, checks or credit cards. ($3.50 convenience fee)
Attendance & Make-up Classes If a student is going to be absent, please call or text the studio.
RCFAA should be informed of any injuries, allergies or special needs a student has that may require extra attention.
Classes may be made up within two weeks of the original class. Exceptions will be made for those with long illnesses. Each student is encouraged to make up missed classes.
Notice of Withdrawal Must be provided in writing at least thirty days prior to the effective date of withdrawal. No pro-rations or refunds will be issued. The Non-Company member will continue paying tuition for the rest of the season.
Teacher SubstitutionsRCFAA reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is ill and a substitute is not available, any missed class can be made up in a similar level class.
Attire and Studio RulesStudents should come with proper dance attire and dance shoes.
•Ballet - Black leotard (preferred) and pink tights with ballet flats, and pointe shoes if the student is approved for pointe.
•Jazz, Contemporary and Acrobatics - Leotard and tights (any color) or sports bra and shorts (work out attire).
•Modern – Leotard and tights (black) or sports bra and shorts (work out attire).
•Variations - Same as ballet attire + a black ballet skirt.
Students are encouraged to wear a cover-up over their dancewear to and from the studio.Hair must be worn in a bun for ballet. A ponytail is acceptable for all other classes.Students must keep talking to a minimum.Any student who repeatedly disrupts the class will be dismissed from class.If a student must leave early from class, parents should not disrupt the class. Either the parent or student should notify the class instructor prior to the start of class of the need to leave early.
Private Lessons
All private lessons need to be requested through Ms. Mayra. Lesson fee should be established prior to the lesson, and the payment should be handed to Ms. Mayra at the beginning of the private lesson. Please cancel a private lesson with 24-hour notice or you will be charged $40 for the teacher’s time. Thank you for your care and understanding.
Class Observation
There are no viewing windows the studio.Parents are asked to drop off and not hang out in the studio so as not to disturb class. The last 15 minutes of class is usually acceptable unless students are rehearsing for a show, etc. Exceptions to viewing class can be made on occasion for working parents, visiting relatives, etc.

RCFAA follows the Duval County School Calendar. On days where there is no school, there will be no class except for special workshops, clinics or master classes.
Insurance
RCFAA does not carry medical insurance for its students.It is required that all dance students be covered by their own family insurance policy. If injuries occur, it is understood that the student's own policy is the only source of reimbursement. This includes any activity outside of the studio such as parades, competitions, conventions, activities, fund-raisers, and performances.RCFAA, its agents and employees are not responsible for any personal injury during any of these events.
Communications
RCFAA will email each family with important information, such as class dates, class cancellations, auditions, and performances. At times RCFAA may also communicate via text. Parents and students are responsible for the information that is emailed and posted on the whiteboard and website, and are responsible for providing any email, address or phone number change.
As a participant in any program or class with RIVER CITY FINE ARTS ACADEMY, Inc., and F13RCE DANCE THEATRE, and its officers, agents, servants, employees, and independent contractors, I recognize and acknowledge there are certain risks of physical injury. I agree to assume the full risk of injuries, damages or loss that I or my minor child may sustain as a result of participating in any activities connected with or associated with such program or class. I agree to waive and relinquish all claims I or my minor child may have as a result of participating in any program or class against RIVER CITY FINE ARTS ACADEMY, Inc. and F13RCE DANCE THEATRE and its officers, agents, servants, employees, and independent contractors. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend RIVER CITY FINE ARTS ACADEMY, Inc. and F13RCE DANCE THEATRE and its officers agents, servants, employees, and independent contractors from my claims resulting from injuries, damages and losses sustained by me or my minor child that arise out of, in connection with, or in any way associated with the activities of this program.
I HAVE READ AND FULLY INDERSTAND THE ABOVE WAIVER AND RELEASE ALL CLAIMS.
