Welcome to the Plano Dance Theatre! This is all of the information you will need regarding our policies and to have a better understanding about your student’s performing arts education.
I. CLASS TRIAL
a. Students may take one trial class free of charge. Additional classes are $18.00 each.
a. All new students must register.
b. All students must re-register in September at the beginning of our fall session regardless of when original enrollment took place.
a. Tuition is due by the 8th of every month.
b. Tuition is monthly based on how many classes per week a student takes.
c. Tuition is not increased for the months that contain 5 weeks.
d. Tuition is not pro-rated for holidays or missed classes. Should you miss a class, you may make up that class in an equivalent class the following week.
e. Payments may be made by cash, check, or online using any major credit card. Auto pay may be set up on your Dancestudio-Pro account.
f. There will be a 15% late fee added to all outstanding balances on the 8th of each month. This includes tuition, as well as other unpaid fees such as costume fees, performance fees, dancewear, etc.
g. There will be a $30 fee for Returned Checks.
h. All accounts 60 days past due will be turned over for collections.
i. Should you decide to terminate enrollment, you must submit notification in writing 30 days prior to your last class. Failure to do so will result in the continuation of charges to your account until the proper notification is submitted.
k. Should you decide to return to class you must re-register as a new student.
l. If you register after the 15th of the month, your tuition will be pro-rated for that month. Charges will be one half of your regular tuition.
IV. CLASS CARDS
a. For Mini Movers, Aerial Silks, Drill Team & Adult classes, PDT offers class cards. Cards can be purchased at any time.
b. Class Cards are punched each time a student attends class. Once your class card is fully used, you simply purchase another one.
V. OTHER FEES
a. Performance fees are required to be included in all performances. Performance fees are non-refundable.
b. Costume Deposits are required to get materials and/or order costume parts for performance. Costume Deposits are non-refundable.
c. Costume Balances are required if the cost of the costume goes beyond the deposit already paid. Balances are non refundable.
d. Dress code appropriate shoes, tights, and dance wear may be ordered online through our website.
a. Performances are not mandatory, but encouraged, as it helps all performers become comfortable with the stage.
b. All performances will require a performance fee and a costume fee for each costume the student will need.
c. If you are cast in a production, you are required to attend rehearsals. Failure to do so will result in replacement without re-imbursment.
d. Rehearsal schedules are posted in the Calendar section of the PDT Website. Schedules are subject to change without notice so it is recommended that you check often for schedule updates.
a. The PDT dress code can be found on the PDT website. Students who show up for class not dressed in the proper class attire will be asked to observe class. This includes having the hair secure and the proper shoes for the class. The dress code is strictly enforced. Dancing in socks is strictly prohibited.
b. Class room etiquette is of extreme importance. If a student is being disruptive they will be asked to leave class for that day without reimbursement or the option for a make up class. When a student is disruptive it takes time away from the other students in class who are also paying to take class, there for disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
c. Rehearsals for all performances are mandatory. If you can not commit to the rehearsals, please request a part that will not require as much rehearsal time.
VIII. PERFORMANCE ENSEMBLE
a. Admission to the PDT competitive team is by audition only. Students who chose to audition for the will be given an informational packet with a list of privilages and responsibilities on the day of the audition.

IX. PRIVATE LESSONS
a. Private lessons are by instructor and room availability and must be scheduled in the office. Once scheduled, that private lesson time slot will belong to that student.
b. If you have a private lesson time slot and decide you no longer wish to keep that time slot, it will be given to another student.
c. Payment for privates is at the instructor's discretion. Payment for the full month must be submitted directly to that instructor the first lesson of the month. Because private lessons do not go through the studio, all private lessons must be paid in advance.
d. There are no refunds for missed private lessons. You may only make-up a private lesson if you have given 24hrs notice of cancellation. If you miss the first private lesson for the month without 24 hrs notice you still owe for that lesson. The instructors can not change the schedule without proper notice so you must still pay them for their time.
a. All costumes are ordered through the studio, with the exception of solo costumes.
b. All costume making for students of PDT will go through PDT. PDT will provide the costumes appropriate for the shows and/or competition pieces.
c. If alterations are needed, please speak with a PDT representitive for assistance.
d. No student is permitted to take home a costume until the deposit and balance are paid for in full.
e. If a costume is not paid for in time for a performance, that student will not perform.
a. No Food or uncovered beverages will be permitted in the dance rooms, music room or the lobby. Students may eat in the break room only.
b. Water bottles with closable lids are permitted in the dance rooms.
c. Gum chewing will not be permitted during class. This is a liability and for your safety we ask that you dispose of it before class.
d. Parents and Students are not allowed in the office for any reason.
e. The Plano Dance Theatre L.L.C. reserves the right to change any of the above policies. Should there by any changes to the policy information, you will be notified and asked to sign a new agreement form.
f. Students must be picked up promptly following their last class.
XII. SOCIAL MEDIA
a. For the safety and well being of our dancers, posting photos and videos from classes, events and performances is strictly prohibited unless permission is given by the instructor and a PDT representative.
b. Follow PDT on instagram and facebook for vital information and to share appropriate posts.

a. We value your feed back. If you have any comments, questions, or concerns, you may email us at email@example.com. We can not take time out of classes to handle personal issues or questions but if you send an email it will be responded to promptly.
