Attendance Policy/Tuition/Refund Policy
Missed Classes: We do not give refunds for missed classes. Missed classes may be made up in another class of a lower level if available. Tuition is based on the annual program and broken into payments for your convenience. It is not based on how many classes per month are taken. If a student is going to miss a class, we request that you call or email our office ASAP. Students who miss more than 3 classes a semester or consecutive classes will be asked to not participate in a section of a piece or in productions all together if absences exceed 3. Rehearsing at home is not a substitute for in-class correction and instruction.
|Dropping a Class|
A written or email notice must be given to the studio office. Registration fees are non-refundable. The office must be informed of the dropped class prior to the next tuition payment becoming due. Tuition will be paid until written notification is received of a student dropping a class. Please be sure you notify the office, not your dancer’s instructor. The office will inform the instructors.
Tuition Policies & Payment Plans: (Please select one)
Tuition may be paid in full. (5% discount, tuition only, if paid in full August 5, 2024)
Two Installments per year: 1st installment is due at registration. 2nd Installment due January 5,2025. (5% discount if paid by due dates)
Monthly Installments: 10 monthly installments beginning August 7, 2024. Payments are due on the1st of each month. There will be a $20 late fee for payments received after the first week of each month. Reminder invoices will be issued.
***Dancers will not be allowed to take class if accounts are past due. The Studio relies on our tuition fees to operate the Studio efficiently, so that the students receive top quality dance education. We appreciate your timely payments, your business and cooperation.

***If payments are missed more than once, you will be asked to put a card on file for automatic drafts. After the first bounced payment, you will be asked to discontinue your child's attendance in our program.
Refund Policy:
AVK Dance studio does not issue refunds for costumes or tuition. If you choose to not participate in a performance for whatever reason, you are free to collect your uniform. The studio will not be responsible for any uniform that is not collected within 30 days.

The following rules and regulations have been established to ensure a peaceful, safe and productive
atmosphere at AVK Dance Studio. The Code of Conduct is intended to be detailed guides for students
and their families. Students are required to sign off on and abide by these rules and regulations while on
the school premises and when acting as an outside representative of AVK Dance Studio. Non-compliance
with or violation of any part of these rules and regulations may result in reprimand, suspension from
class, probation, or dismissal from AVK Dance Studio. AVK Dance Studio, in its sole discretion, will
determine the appropriate disciplinary action.

AVK Dance Studio will not tolerate any of the following:
ï‚· All forms of dishonesty, including but not limited to supplying false information to any studio
official, forgery, unauthorized use of studio documents, or theft of official studio documents.
 Theft of or tampering with another person’s property or property of AVK Dance Studio. Theft
or unauthorized use of school telephones, computers, or office supplies.
ï‚· Trespassing after business hours
ï‚· Vandalism or tampering with security devices or fire safety equipment.
ï‚· Physical abuse, sexual abuse, threats, intimidation, coercion, commission of any violent act,
and/or other conduct which threatens or endangers the health or safety of another person.
ï‚· Harassment of another person, whether physical or sexual, spoken, or written.
ï‚· Discrimination of another person based on their race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual
orientation, national origin, age, citizenship or any other characteristic protected by law.
ï‚· Engaging in, or inciting others to engage in, lewd, licentious, or disorderly conduct.
ï‚· Failure to comply with the rules and regulations set forth within AVK Dance Studio.
ï‚· Unauthorized presence on studio property if dismissed due to failure to comply with the rules
set forth herein.
ï‚· Non-compliance with the artistic decisions made by AVK Dance Studio staff, faculty and guest
artists.
ï‚· Cell phone usage in studio.

All students must observe the following expectations of classroom and building
etiquette:
1. Be focused and ready to learn which means refraining from texting, talking, Facebooking, emailing,
web surfing, tweeting, etc.
2. Be silent in class. Only the instructor gives notes/corrections or answer questions.
3. Please refrain from chewing gum.
4. No eating or drinking anything in the studios other than water in a plastic container.
5. No loud and boisterous behavior in front of the building.
6. Ask and wait for the instructor’s permission before exiting class.
7. Be respectful and have a positive attitude toward your instructors or fellow dancers.
8. No unruly behavior in the dressing rooms.
9. Keep areas clear at all times. Do not leave your belongings in the middle of the hallways.
10. Students must be dressed in street clothes, sweat pants, or other cover-ups when leaving the studio.
Technical progress: Students are expected to demonstrate/work towards technical progress. Students
are expected to have the highest level of focus and commitment, as well as the ability to retain
corrections and material (this mostly applies to the older dancers).
Artistic progress: Students are expected to demonstrate or work towards notable artistic progress in
areas of dynamics, musicality, projection and phrasing.
Other areas: Students are expected to exhibit the highest level of work ethic. Students must
demonstrate proper classroom etiquette and observe the dress code and other rules and regulations of the school

I understand that dance and creative movement involves physical contact between dancers and participants, that serious accidents occasionally occur during such activities, and that participants in such activities occasionally sustain serious personal injuries (including death) and/or property damage as a consequence thereof. Knowing the risks of participation, I hereby agree that my minor child and I assume those risks and release and hold harmless AVK Dance Studio and its agents, sponsors and employees who might otherwise be liable to me, my minor child (or our heirs or assigns) for damages. In the event of an accident or illness involving my minor child or myself, I hereby authorize AVK Dance Studio to arrange for transportation of my minor child or myself, whether by ambulance or otherwise, to a proper facility where emergency medical treatment would normally be administered, including but not limited to, an emergency room of a hospital, a doctor’s office, or medical clinic: and sign releases as may be required in order to obtain any medical or surgical treatment as is immediately required in the judgment of medical authorities at the facility. I agree neither my minor child nor I will make a claim against, sue, attach the property of or prosecute AVK Dance Studio, their agents, sponsors or employees for damages, death, personal injury or property damages which my minor child may sustain as a result of my child’s participation in these activities.
I attest that I am eighteen years old or older and that my child is physically fit and has no known medical conditions which prohibit participation in these activities. My child and I agree to follow all laws, rules and guidelines regulating the conduct of AVK Dance Studio dancers and participants.
I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability from myself and my child and a contract between myself, my child, and AVK Dance Studio and its agents, sponsors and employees, and I have agreed of my own free will.


Photo/Video Release
For valuable consideration herein acknowledged as received, I hereby grant to AVK Dance Studio and its legal representatives ownership of any and all photographs taken of my child during rehearsals, performances and studio sessions of AVK Dance Studio.
I also grant to AVK Dance Studio and its legal representative’s permission to use, reproduce, or publish the photographs for any purpose whatsoever, without further compensation.
I hereby warrant that I am the parent/guardian and have every right to contract in the above regard. I state that I have read the above authorization, release and agreement and fully understand the contents thereof.
This release shall be binding upon me, my respective heirs, legal representatives and assigns.
