Photo Waiver:
I understand that The Marilyn Jones Dance Centre has the right to use photo and video documentation in studio marketing, social media,npress relations, educational materials, website, archives, in print and on the official company website. I understand that IF I DO NOT want MJDC to use photos/ videos of my child for promotional purposes I will contact marilynjonesdancecentre@gmail.com to say so. We will then place your child on our do not photograph list and will not share media of your child.

Tuition:
Monthly tuition fees are due on the 1st of the month. Payments received after the 10th of the month are considered late and will be charged a £10.00 late fee. Class fees and Registration fees are non-refundable. Refunds will not be given for classes missed due to illness, family trips, inclement weather, etc. MJDC reserves the right to cancel classes due to low registration. In the unlikely event that a class is cancelled, every effort will be made to switch the student to an appropriate alternative class. If this is not possible, tuition will be refunded. Any student joining part way through a month will only be charged for the remaining classes that month.

Methods of Payment:
Autopay or by card through our safe and secure online portal. We recommend all students register for Auto Pay to avoid late fees.

Withdrawal policy:
Students who need to drop a class for any reason must email marilynjonesdancecentre@gmail.com and will be charged tuition up until the date of the email. (Exceptional circumstances will be considered.) Tuition is non-refundable and refunds will not be given for classes missed due to illness, family trips, inclement weather, etc.

Registration fees:
A £10 registration fee is required for every new student. This is non refundable.

Liability Waiver:
I verify that myself/my child is physically able to participate in classes at The Marilyn Jones Dance Centre. I understand that participation carries certain risks of injury and I assume all risks resulting from participation. I will hold harmless MJDC and their employees from any and all liability, causes of action, claims and demands of every kind or nature whatsoever which may arise in connectionwith or resulting from participation in any classes or activities. Students/Parents are obliged to inform staff of any existing injuries or medical conditions.

MINI MIX/MINI TRIX: All students should have ONE parent or guardian in class with them at all times (Siblings are welcome to come but must not distract the class)

Showtimes and Exams: All students, if ready, will be invited to take part in Examinations and Showtimes. All students will be required to attend extra rehearsals and will need to pay additional charges for exam fees, costumes etc in order to take part. Our policy for entering students in for their IDTA examinations is done with much consideration and care for each individual. Decisions are based on students reaching the required standard and beyond for each grade and not always on a previous result or length of time in that grade. Please be aware during the examination selection procedure.

Code of Conduct:
Students should arrive promptly, correctly dressed and attend classes regularly. Uniform is available to purchase from our online store which is accessible through the portal. Shoes are available from Move DanceWear online or Dance Wear Central. Shoes should be clean. Hair should be in a bun for all subjects especially Acro and Ballet.
During class children are expected to listen and we discourage any unnecessary talking. If a child is disruptive they may be asked to sit out for a period or the full duration of the class.

Contact Policy:
From time to time it may be necessary for the teachers to use physical contact when helping to improve pupils posture, movements or aid with understanding.

Personal Property:
All individuals are responsible for their own personal property and belongings. MJDC cannot accept liability for any lost or damaged property. Any items left behind after class will be put in to lost property - any items not collected by the end of each half term will be sent to charity.

Extra Dance/Acro Activities:
Pupils should inform MJDC of any auditions or workshops a child wishes to attend prior to signing up.
