SEASON 2024-25. Each season at A Time for Dance is made up of 3 sessions that include 12 classes per session. Each class day may be on a slightly different schedule than the others due to holidays, studio closures and rehearsal and performance schedules. Your session dates will be determined at the beginning of the season. Your registration fee will be applied at the time of registering for your first class. If your child plans to participate in the end-of-year performance, you will receive a costume deposit fee assessed during session II and a costume balance fee during session III. Classes begin the week of Sept 1st, 2024 and will conclude on June 22nd, 2025. This date is subject to change based on the date of the end-of-year performances that may be different for each studio.
TUITION. Enrollment is by session. We have 3 sessions per year. Each session includes 12 classes. That's a total of 36 classes plus one rehearsal for the full season (with the exception of our summer session with 8 classes). Annual registration fee is $40.00 for the first child and $5 for each additional child in the same family due upon registration. Tuition is due at the beginning of each of the 3 sessions by cash, check, Amex, Visa or Mastercard. **Register students must have a credit card on file. The credit card on file will be charged on the first day of the session. You will be informed of this date one week in advance via text message and email. If you want to provide another form of payment you must inform us ahead of time and provide alternate payment by the first day of class of each session. If for some reason, tuition is not paid by the second class of the session, the family will receive a $25 late fee. Insufficient fund checks will be subject to a $25 fee.
Tuition Processing Dates for the 2024-25 season will be as follows.
Session I: Sept 1st or date of registration (will include registration fee)
Session II: Dec 10th (will include costume deposit, $40)
Session III: March 10th (costume balance will be applied and charged in May)
Discounted tuition is available to anyone who pays for the entire year (all 3 sessions) in advance. This does not include registration and costume fees.
MISSED CLASS/CANCELLATION. Tuition pays for your child's space in the class- regardless of attendance. In the event that a student misses a class, a makeup lesson will be provided and must be completed within the season. No tuition credits for missed classes. If a student chooses to drop a class, we must be notified at least two weeks in advance via email at atimefordance@gmail.com. Unused tuition will be used as credit towards a different class. TUITION IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
PUNCTUALITY POLICY. Please be on time to take class as the warm-up period at the beginning of class is necessary. For your safety, students will not be permitted after 10 minutes. Children should be dropped off and picked up in a timely manner. Late pickups will incur a $15 childcare fee for each 15 minutes.
ATTIRE. Proper attire must be worn in class, students will not be able to take class without correct attire for that class. Hair must be securely pulled away from face and no jewelry is allowed. For the purposes of modesty, dancers are to wear street clothes, to both arrive and depart from the studio. Students must NEVER wear dance shoes outside of the studio, the street oils damage shoes and the studio floor.
PARENT OBSERVERS: We are happy to allow parents to visit and observe their children's classes but ask that you are respectful. Talking during class or loud siblings can be distracting to students in class. In addition- NO FOOD, DRINKS OR GUM ARE ALLOWED IN STUDIO AREA. DO NOT FEED YOUR CHILDREN SNACKS DURING CLASS IT IS A CHOKING HAZARD AND LEAVES CRUMBS ON THE FLOOR THAT DANCERS CAN SLIP ON.
The staff at A Time for Dance reserves the right to refuse anyone from taking class due to repeated disregard or negligence of studio policies and payment delinquencies, disruptive behavior, or any other reason that puts the dance studio, its staff or members in jeopardy.
A Time for Dance owns the rights to video or photographic material of students.
