MEMBERSHIP FEES POLICY:
Fees are NON REFUNDABLE after the first two weeks of term.
Your Membership Fee payment is deemed to be an acceptance of our terms and conditions.
Please note you are buying a membership at GTW, and the spot in the particular class you pay for, lasts for the term. After the first two weeks of term, this fee cannot be refunded.
Term registration fee of $15 per family covers the increase in cost of insurance, music copyrights and so on. Registration fees are not refundable.
Prior to term, only Full Term bookings can be made.
TRIAL CLASSES- One Free Trial class per student. This trial does not hold your spot in the class. You can secure your spot in the class by enrolling in the full term and if you don't wish to continue after 2 classes the fees are refunded less $50 ( $60 for one hour classes).
DROP IN MAKE UP CLASSES -
You must be a fully paid member of the current term to qualify. If you miss classes, we OFFER 3 "Drop In Make Up Classes" per term. Attending more than 3 per term will incur a fee.
If you foresee a missed class in the future and want to secure a make-up in advance, you must log your absence in your PORTAL - Go to "MORE" then "ATTENDANCE" and record your absence. Then BOOK a Drop In Make Up class in Registration- choose the class then Drop In, date and submit! Some classes and Classes that are full will not be available. Some classes may become unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances and you will be notified to change the make up class.
Drop In Make-ups must be completed within the same term as your absence and cannot be rolled over. You cannot book a Makeup Class without the absence first recorded in our system, Â No refunds or discounts or credits are given for missed classes for any reason. Makeup class may or may not be with the same teacher as your usual class.
REFUND POLICY -
If, after two classes or less of the same class in the first two weeks of term, you choose not to stay with GTW, we offer a full refund (less $50 non-refundable deposit, $60 for one hour class), and notification must be done by email within 24 hours of the 2nd class. Fees are otherwise non-refundable. Class change is permissible. Term fees cannot be rolled over to the next term.
Term Fees can be transferred to another student if you instruct us to do so.
Please be aware you are purchasing THE ENTIRE TERM. A refund cannot be given after the 2-week grace period. After this time the place in that class is yours and cannot be sold to other students by GTW and has not been available for sale to other students.
Pro-Rata Refunds upon notification from us or you will be given if the class is cancelled from the schedual or the law requires us to refund the fee.
We will automatically re enrol you into the following term to which you can agree to continue and fees will be applied or you can choose not to continue with no fee commitment. Flexible payment is available if you need, but full term fees paid is appreciated. A $50 refundable deposit is required to take up the flexible payment. Pay online or in studio.
Early Bird Discount - Early Bird discounts apply till the last day of the current term at 2 pm. Students who pay the deposit will keep the discount as we head into the next term.
We do not refund absences due to illness or quarantine. No refunds/credits are given for dancers missing classes, missed classes due to vacation, holidays and/or days off from school or non-participation in class.
Refunds cannot be given for Holiday Programs.
Refunds can be given for "Glitterisation" classes 24 hours in advance by email notification.
Fairy Concert Fees are NON REFUNDABLE.
Tap Shoes are available to rent for $1 per class and this fee will be applied at the start of term to tap dancing classes.
Credit Card fees cannot be refunded if fees are paid through the Dance Pro Portal via Stripe as they do not refund these fees. Paying through the Dance Pro Portal incurs a fee 1.75% + 30c for Australian cards and 2.9% + 30c for international and American Express cards.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS -
It is the responsibility of the participant's parent or guardian to seek appropriate medical approval regarding any pre-existing condition and to disclose any such condition to Glittery Tapping Wonderland before booking. Glittery Tapping Wonderland and its representatives accept no liability arising from the medical condition of any participant.
CLASSES -
The dance styles offered are the dance styles available at the appointed dance location and are subject to the dance teachers' discretion with regard to suitability in terms of age, sex, ability, and experience.
The participant may be excluded from the dance classes in the event of inappropriate behaviour and any form of bullying. This includes viewing or participating parents who talk throughout the lesson.
If we cancel your dance class due to any reason, we will tell you as soon as possible and do our very best to offer an alternative class. We reserve the right to cancel your class at short notice and re-book you. We reserve the right to reschedule the timings or location of any class owing to the unavailability of the activity, insufficient numbers making the activity unavailable, and other factors beyond our control. Substitute Dance Teachers may be required from time to time due to factors beyond our control.
We reserve the right to cancel classes that have low numbers and will endeavour to find a suitable running class for the students to continue or merge classes to make up the numbers. If you are not happy with the class change and wish to discontinue attendance, a 100% pro-rata refund will be given.
COMMUNICATION -
Email - GLITTERY TAPPING WONDERLAND will communicate with you primarily by email, and you consent to receive information from us via email. We will not provide your details to any other company, entity or organisation, and all information will be kept by us in accordance with The Privacy Act. Please add us to your address book to avoid SPAM blockers.
Texts - we will send mass texts from the Dance Pro portal for important updates - the number that comes up on your phone will be from the USA and look like this:

We will use our best endeavours to ensure that all communications are virus-free. However, we are not responsible for any loss or damage suffered by you in the event that a virus or like is transmitted unknowingly by us.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN -
All sub-contractor Teachers of Glittery Tapping Wonderland have a working with children certificate as required by relevant legislation from time to time.
DROP OFF/PICK UP -
An adult must bring children into the class; you must notify the teacher if you are leaving and when you pick up the child. Children cannot wait outside the studio for pick up.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Australian law.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or delete portions of these Terms and Conditions at any time by updating this page. Your continued attendance after any such changes are updated constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms and conditions. You are responsible for keeping yourself updated on any changes.
Dance classes can involve the risk of personal injury. While Glittery Tapping Wonderland takes all reasonable care in the conduct of its classes, it accepts no responsibility for injury or loss caused during classes or whilst participants are at or near the dance studio. You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and mentally fit for the class, and during the class, you must at all times take care of your own personal safety. Child students are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian when at Glittery Tapping Wonderland. By attending classes on our timetable, you agree to these Terms and Conditions
Videos and photographs are permitted to be taken in the studio. At all end of year concerts, Videos and photographs will be taken.
From time to time, images from school performances, class photos, and various events will be used to promote the activities of GTW, e.g. in newsletters, on the GTW website, on social media (e.g. Facebook/Instagram/Twitter), noticeboards, and brochures etc. Parents consent to the use of images of their children in this way and waive all rights in respect of such images. You have the choice to Opt-out in your portal under Waivers. GTW will not sell the images to third parties.
