ENROLMENT TERMS All lessons (classes and privates inclusive) must be paid for unless cancelled by Belmont Dance Centre. On the rare event that a teacher is sick or unable to attend, a substitute teacher will be arranged. NB: all enrolments are on a term basis and no refunds will be offered. In the event that the studio needs to be closed due to unforeseen circumstances, studio classes will be replaced by the Zoom platform. Term fees must be paid promptly to secure your child's position in the class - late fees will be applied. ANNUAL ENROLMENT FEE An annual enrolment fee of $60.00 per student is required each calendar year. This fee covers all of the necessary insurances for each student. A current enrolment and "Policy and Conditions form" must be signed for 2022. PERFORMANCE TROUPE FEE All students involved in our Performance Troupes (from Junior classes and onwards) are required to pay a $60.00 levy. This is to cover Eisteddfod entry fees throughout the year. All Performance Troupe students MUST ATTEND 'TWO BDC' ballet classes per week. All students in Performance troupes are to purchase a BDC dance jacket. It is the Belmont Dance Centre teaching faculty who choose what competitions are entered and the students who will participate in them. No further correspondence will be entered into these decisions. UNIFORMS BDC has a uniform code for all classes of which must be adhered to. This also includes hair being neat and tidy as it is part of the discipline of learning to dance. Uniforms are purchased through our uniform shop at BDC onsite. All students are to adhere to our uniform policy. For further information please refer to the uniform guide in the ‘information pack’ within the Parent Portal. ALLERGIES Belmont Dance Centre is a nut free studio. We ask that all students adhere to this to eliminate potential risk. STUDENTS ARRIVAL To allow all class transitions be made smoothly, all students are to arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to the commencement of their class. This includes being appropriately covered when arriving and leaving our studios. We suggest that our students arrive and leave in our BDC T-shirt and/ or jacket. Under no circumstances are students to leave in their leotards and tights. This is for the safety of our students. BDC COMMUNICATION Regular newsletters are emailed to all families of Belmont Dance Centre. If for some reason you are not receiving these, we ask that you contact our Administration Manager to correct this. BDC also has a dedicated Facebook and Instagram page for studio events, news, updates and photos. Photographs are occasionally taken of all students. If you do not wish for your child’s photograph to appear In any of the Belmont Dance Centre marketing please make sure you state this on the registration form. We respect your decision. END OF YEAR PERFORMANCES Belmont Dance Centre holds a performance at the end of the calendar year which showcases all students. Students will be required to hire/buy costumes. This also applies to those students who are in Performance Troupes - costumes will need to be bought/hired. All costumes are bought especially for each student, and therefore must be paid for in full before receiving them. Unfortunately no costume can be refunded in the case of a change of mind.
