STUDIO INFORMATION AND POLICIES
Please Read each policy:
____Registration Fee - The first month's tuition is required with the registration form to reserve class space. Registration will not be considered complete and class space is not reserved until this fee has been paid. Registration fee is $45 per dancer, per season. 10% discount available for siblings. Completed registration form and signed Studio Policies will carry over from season to season until dancer has graduated or withdrawn.
____Class Fees -Class fees are due the first of each month. A $15 late fee will be applied to accounts not paid by the 15th of the month. There is a $35 returned check fee, per check, on all returned checks. Tuition remains the same regardless of absences and whether it is a long (5-weeks) month or a short (3- weeks) month! Tuition is per month – not per class. If you need to cancel a class at any time during the year, you will need to fill out a drop form. Not showing up for classes does not constitute a withdrawal from class. You will continue to be charged for tuition until the drop form has been complete. If dancer is withdrawn from classes before the end of the season, there is a $50 withdrawal fee that will be charged to the credit card on file upon withdrawal. If monthly tuition payment is delayed past 30 days, Prodigy Dance Studio serves the right to hold the student from participating in class activities. There will be no tuition pro-rations at any time. Should students withdraw before the end of the season and then re-enroll for the same season, a $45 registration fee will apply.
____Attendance - Good attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. Students should be prompt and prepared for class. There are make-up classes that are available to those students who miss class. A make up class can be made up with any style dance class. Refunds or discounts will NOT be given for any missed classes. Parents should not leave young students unattended in the waiting area before or after class. Classes are allotted for one hour, however due to dancers coming from other classes and preparation needed, instruction time will be approximately 50 minutes. Dancers will be allowed up to two water breaks per class, and bathroom breaks on request. Please have dancers use restrooms before class starts.
____Substitutes – Prodigy Dance Studio reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is ill and the school cannot arrange a substitute any missed classes will be made up. When needed, classes may also be combined.
____Dismissal- Parents must pick up their dancers from the studio lobby at the time classes end. Parents are not to pick up dancers in the parking lot. Prodigy Dance Studio will not be responsible for any injuries that occur in the parking lot should parents decide to have dancers picked up in the parking lot area. Parents understand that dancers are not supervised in the parking lot, and Prodigy Dance Studio will not be liable for any occurrence outside of the dance studio building.
____Uniforms – Students must come to class in uniform, which will consist of pink tights, black Prodigy leotard, and black Prodigy shorts (or as indicated on Uniform List, depending on class). Appropriate shoes for each dance genre are required! No baggy t-shirts, baggy shorts, blue jeans, jewelry or other inappropriate attire will be allowed. Hair should always be slicked back and securely pulled away from the face. BALLET CLASSES REQUIRE A BUN! Students should be dressed and prepared for class before it starts. Please change into dance shoes before class. Every student is required to have on Prodigy shorts or Princess Prodigy skirt when entering or leaving the studio..
____ Parent’s Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events: It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of all studio activities such as recitals, performances, extra classes, and dates the studio is open or closed. All information will be listed in the studio calendar, will be emailed, and will be posted throughout our communication platforms.
___Holiday Breaks: The studio closes for Thanksgiving Weekend, Christmas Break, and Spring Break. Tuitions for those months are NOT pro-rated, and closures are already worked into the season pricing (broken down for you in a flat monthly fee). Dancers WILL BE ALLOWED to make up any classes missed during holiday closures. Tuitions will not be pro-rated, and credits will not be given. If dancers choose to “Take a Break” for the holiday season, a $50 drop fee applies, and a $45 re-enrollment registration fee will be charged upon return. We cannot guarantee that space in the same class will still be available, as many of our classes have waiting lists.
____Recital Policy-- All dancers will be participating in recital and are required to pay a one-time annual Recital Fee by November 1. Recital fees are $100 per dancer and will be entered on October 1. Recital Fees are Non- Refundable, and assist in securing the recital venue, recital programs, lighting techs, videographers, stage hands, recital awards, and staff. All dancers will receive a Recital T-Shirt, Year End Award, and Recital Video as part of this recital fee. Any dancers that register after November 1 will have recital fees input into accounts during registration, and payment will be due within 30 days. If you cannot have your dancer participate in recital, please advise us by emailing info@prodigydancers.com
____Recital costume deposits are due by December 1 and are non- refundable. Deposits are $50 per costume. The costume balance will be entered into accounts as soon as costumes have been sourced for each routine and final cost is determined. Costumes which are not paid in full will NOT be ordered with the initial costume order and therefore may not arrive in time for recital pictures, or may be ordered at a higher cost, depending on availability. If only a deposit has been given for the costume, it will not be ordered, and deposit will be forfeited. Any students that register after December 1 will have costume deposits and fees entered upon registration and due within 30 days.
____All Accounts must be at a ZERO balance in order for dancers to perform at recital. Any students whose account has a delinquent balance as of May 30th WILL NOT be allowed to perform at recital! Recital and costume fees will NOT be refunded!
____Any balance left outstanding at the end of the season will be processed through the Auto Pay system or with the back up credit card on file, including late fees, tuition charges, merchandise sales, etc. Payments that do not go through will be sent to collections and reported to credit bureaus. A 35% collection agency cost will be added to any accounts sent to collections.

Parent understands that these risks include, but are not limited to injury to ligaments, muscles, tendons, bones, and other aspects of the body that may include head, neck, or spine. Due to the dangers of this activity, parent understands the importance of their child following the teacher’s instructions regarding techniques, training, and other rules and agree that their child will obey these instructions. In consideration for allowing the child to participate Prodigy Dance Studio’s activities, Parent assumes all the risks associated with the sport of dance, and agrees to release Prodigy Dance Studio and its employees and staff from any and all liability/responsibility which may arise in connection with their participation in activities at Prodigy Dance Studio.
