8. Studio Z Rights Studio Z reserves the right to revoke this contract and terminate its relationship with any dancer/parent/guardian at any time without reason.
Studio Z also reserves the right to cancel any class due to extenuating circumstances. You will be notified as soon as is practically possible in the event such an emergency occurs.
Attendance:
Attendance is imperative. You are paying for every class. Discounts or reimbursements are not provided for absences. Please commit to having your dancer present at every scheduled session. In the event of a lengthy absence please schedule a make-up with the instructor.
Dance Attire:
Appropriate dance attire is required while creating an attitude ready for learning and helps the dancer do their best. Wearing shoes appropriate for his/her class of instruction is mandatory. Girls’ hair should be pulled back and up off of the neck and out of the face. Some type cover-up must be worn while coming to and departing from the studio.
Dancers not dressed appropriately will not be allowed to participate in class that day.
Dress Code:
Ballet leotard, tights and pink ballet shoes.
Jazz/Tap Leotards, dance pants or shorts, fitted tank, etc. Black tap shoes – style depends upon level or tan jazz shoes.
Pre-School and Beginner: Leotards, tutus, skirts, etc. and tights.
Boys Gym shorts, Jazz pants, cut-off sweats with white t-shirts.
Hip Hop Whatever feels comfortable and allows you to move. Sneakers a must, Absolutely no jeans!
Conduct:
Respect from all dancers is expected and will be appreciated and rewarded. Dancers should respect the Studio Z staff and other students. A positive environment is a must. Dancers are happy and the studio is their happy place. Leave your troubles at home, and support all other dancers to assist in making this a positive experience for everyone involved.
For the safety of everyone, students are not allowed outside the studio unless arriving, departing, or under the direct supervision of qualified staff or parents.
It is necessary for dancers to have an appreciation for their facilities. Dancers can show their appreciation for the facilities by not wearing their dance shoes outside the building, by cleaning their street shoes upon entrance, picking up behind themselves and generally caring for the property as you require them to care for your own home. Please no food or drink in either of the studios.
Help Eliminate Distractions
Although we greatly appreciate support and participation, parents/grandparents/friends etc. are not invited in the studio during class. There will be Observation Weeks when parents, relatives, friends, and neighbors will be welcomed to attend classes.
Please do not open a studio door while class is in session or attempt to get the attention of a dancer during class unless there is an EMERGENCY. This is a distraction to the entire class.
Promptness:
We hope that dancers will be dropped off and picked up within 15 minutes of their scheduled class time. Please appreciate that Studio Z is not qualified, and therefore not prepared, to provide the proper attention a dancer needs and deserves when they are not in class. A $25 Fee will be charged unless prior arrangements have been made.
Communication and Class Names:
Studio Z will communicate with all dancers and parents through email, flyers and Facebook. Please read the newsletters you will receive from time to time. These letters are filled with information, much of which will pertain to your dancer(s). Posting the letter in a convenient location as well as checking the website will allow for future reference.
Your dancer’s class will be referenced in these newsletters by name. So that you may more easily identify which events apply to your dancer(s), it is very important that you remember the names of their classes.
Holidays:
Thanksgiving (Wed. – Thurs., November 21 – 24), Christmas (December 18 – January 8), Spring Break/Easter (March 29 – April 5). Classes will not be held on these dates.
Because these holidays have already been factored into the rate schedule, monthly tuition is not discounted on dates when classes are not held.
Office Hours:
Because most classes are held in the afternoon hours, the staff is quite busy at these times, and is therefore not available for conferences or discussions with parents during class time. The staff is always happy to hear any of your comments, suggestions, etc.but would greatly appreciate being contacted other times than while holding a class. Email is a great medium of communication, and is checked multiple times daily. We appreciate you pardoning this inconvenience and making an effort to save non-urgent matters for discussion at these more appropriate times.
Studio Z is not responsible for injuries that may occur during class or while on the premises. We take every precaution and make every effort to ensure a safe, healthy, and professional environment for your dancer to thrive and learn.
***Please know that we appreciate and invite you to provide any feedback and/or suggestions throughout the year to help us deliver the best experience possible! ☺
