Terms & Conditions FYI Dance Club [Term Time & Camps/Workshops]
[Term Time]
The aim of these Terms & Conditions is to ensure that the high standard obtained by the FYI Dance Club is maintained and that it remains a safe teaching practice and enjoyable experience for all students. Please familiarise yourself with the following policies.
Term Fees & Registration
1. FYI Dance Club runs terms of 6 or 7 weeks from September to June, aligning where possible to school breaks. The week before a new term starts you will receive an email with details of your child (ren) new term activities plus the term fee.
2. Any deposit applied to a term at the time of registration is non-refundable.
3. All payments are made through our online portal - https://dancestudio-pro.com/online/fyidance
4. Parents/Guardians must only set up an account for their own child(ren). Relatives/friends must be set up under their own parent/guardian account to ensure we have the correct contact numbers and relevant health information.
5. If you do not already have an account on our online portal, please click "Create Account" and follow the instructions to register. Once the account is created, you will be able to register and pay for your child(ren) through the online portal.
6. If you already have an account, you can simply log in and select the class(es) you would like to register your child for.
7. Fees must be paid in full at the start of each term. This policy is in place to encourage commitment from students and aims to lessen disruption. Continuous attendance is an invaluable aspect to creating class morale and teamwork.
8. If an arrangement is made between the school and a parent to pay in instalments, this arrangement must be adhered to and the full term fee must be paid before the end of each term, regardless of missed classes. Delay in payment may result in the loss of a place within a chosen class.
9. FYI Dance Club offer a discount of 10euro for each subsequent class enrolled in or per sibling per term [discounts only apply to Term time and not to Camps/Workshops unless otherwise stated].
Text Messages & Updates
1. FYI Dance Club uses text, WhatsApp messages and email to provide you with information and updates. Please make sure we have the most up-to- date contact information for you (and notify us if any details change), particularly emergency contact details.
2. We also send newsletters through email and have a Facebook account (ww.facebook.com/fyidanceclub), Instagram (zoe_fyidancelcub.com). We also post photos, blogs and updates on our website https://www.fyidanceclub.com/ and have tutorial workshops on our Youtube Channel @fyidanceclub
Uniforms
1. While FYI DC does not impose a strict uniform code, in the interest of Health and Safety we do expect students to dress appropriately for class. Street and Hip-Hop classes require lose fitted tracksuit/t-shirt/leggings and sports trainers are essential. Stage Dance classes require form fitting active wear and can wear a soft modern shoe though bare feet are the norm here.
2. Official FYI Dance Gear (hoodies/t shirts/bottles/bags) can be ordered from the studio during term time.

Missed Classes
Students can make up any missed classes during the same term block. Classes however cannot be carried over to another term. It is not FYI Dance Club policy to offer reduced term fees for classes missed due to holidays or illness. Please be sensitive to the set costs of our overheads per student per term.
Refunds
1. It is NOT school policy to provide refunds once a student has secured a place in the school. Due to the high demand for places, and to prevent disruption or a loss of earnings for the school, a student is encouraged to watch/participate in a class before enrolling. Please contact the studio to arrange a trial.
2. Once a student has enrolled in FYI we would appreciate if the parent could give us due notice should a student wish to change classes or if they will not be returning for another term. If a student misses three consecutive classes without notice to us we will presume that student is not returning and offer their place to a waiting student. No refunds will be offered.
Health & Safety
1. It is the parents/guardians responsibility to Pick-up and Drop-Off their children safely. Please park at St Patrick's Church and walk your child (ren) across to the Parochial Hall. This avoids road traffic congestion.
2. It is advisable to text the teacher if you are running late. Please note that a phone call/voicemail may not be answered during class time to ensure full attention is given to the class present.
3. FYI Dance Club does not accept any claims related to Covid-19.
4. In the event of closure due to COVID-19 or by other Government mandate. If in the unfortunate event that in-person classes need to be curtailed for us or for any of our students, we will provide classes over a live Zoom format. No refunds or credits will be offered.
5. FYI Dance Club takes a healthy approach to its participation. Sweets, crisps and fizzy drinks do not provide a sustained level of energy, therefore is not encouraged (camps and workshops). Students must bring their own bottle of water.
6. Personal Property is not the responsibility of FYI Dance Club. Please ensure your name is on all property brought into the studio or performance venue. Whilst we do endeavour to provide a lost property facility, any unclaimed property is donated to local charities at the end of the school year.
7. The taking and viewing of photography and Video Footage is an integral aspect of teaching, participating, and learning dance and as a performing art. FYI Dance Club performances and students may be recorded or photographed educational and promotional use for the FYI Dance Club website and social media pages as well as for local media. Please inform the studio if you do NOT wish to include your son /daughter in these.
8. From time to time the school may invite guest teachers to teach in the school. These teachers will be trained to a high standard and screened by the principal.
Basic First Aid
I give permission for basic first aid to be given to my child on site if needed and if, in an emergency, to contact appropriate medical personnel.

Camp Deposits, Refunds, Registration & Cancellation

5. If full payment has been made and is cancelled 2 weeks prior to camp start date, we will do our best to fill the dancers space and refund (less deposit). It may also be possible to switch to another camp date if there is availability.

9. A reminder will be sent to you two weeks before camp is due to start requesting final payment. It is a requirement to fully pay for a Camp to ensure your child(ren)'s place is secured.
10. From time-to-time FYI Dance Club may charge a non- refundable deposit of 20% for camps/workshops. This secures your child(ren)s place and the hall where the camp is held.
11. Please note the requirement for a 72hr notice period if your child(ren) cannot attend camp. IF cancelled inside 72hrs, we will endeavour to fill the place(s) but cannot guarantee a refund.
