Attendance & Time Commitment
To be selected as a member of the DAMASA Dance team is an honor, you’re the face of the studio. Just as sports teams require all players to attend practices, the Damasa requires its dancers to attend all classes and rehearsals. Absence will hold back not only the individual dancer, but the team as a whole. Each dancer is allowed up to 3 absences from class and rehearsals and any dance class per month, after which the dancer may be removed from the Dance team or choreography. This applies to medical absences as well as other reasons based upon schedule meeting with the studio owner and parents. Dance requires consistent ongoing training, dancers who miss several classes due to illness/injury or any other reason will not be able to compete in the same level as those who have attended classes regularly and might be taken out of dance choreography. Please do not consider being part of DAMASA if missing class for a trip to the mall with friends, or if you expect scheduling conflicts with other sports or activities. Regular attendance in all dance classes is expected and mandatory of Dance members. More than 3 absences from any dance class per month MAY BE cause for removal from DAMASA.
Please be aware that becoming a Dance member will obligate you to performances and competitions. Some competitions are a FULL DAY commitment. Extra rehearsals may be called before competition time. Extra rehearsals can be arranged any day of the week, except Sundays! Student and parents will be notified of any additional rehearsals at least one week prior to the date. The teachers will make best efforts to schedule additional rehearsals well in advance.
Holidays
There will not be dance classes during public holidays. There may be dance during school holiday depending on the amount of dancers available for class. If there are not enough dancers then dance class will be canceled during school holiday. Solos classes and duets can be scheduled during school holidays.
I agree to enroll in all required classes and to attend Dance class, rehearsals, competitions and performances. I understand that excess absences may results in me not being able to participate in an event or even removal from the DAMASA I do not anticipate scheduling conflicts with sports or other activities. I understand that classes may be cancelled during school holidays and the studio will be closed during public holidays.
Courtesy and Respect
Being a member of DAMASA is a privilege. All Dance members will be held to the highest of standards of conduct. Dance members and parents must show courtesy and respect to teachers and other students at the studio. It is the parent and dancers responsibility to attend the classes they have chosen to attend. The teacher is not responsible for catching up classes a dancer has not attended. If there are canceled classes by the teacher, the child may also attend another class to make up for the teacher’s skipped class. The teacher is allowed 10 days of leave in the year on the dance studio’s business days. If the leave days have been exceeded it is the teacher’s responsibility to catch up the missed classes with the dancers and parents.

The dancer will not be able to participate in class until the registration fee is paid in full. I as parent agree to pay the non-refundable registration fee before my child can begin dancing.
Year Contract
As part of the Dance membership at DAMASA a dancer has to agree to a one year membership contract with DAMASA. The one year membership starts from 1st January and ends December 31st. If a dancer joins membership in between the months their contract ends upon the 31st December. Once a year contract is signed the parent’s duty is to fulfill all the monthly payments until the end of December, regardless of skipped classes or forfeiting dance. If a student forfeits classes for the year they will not be allowed to enroll for the following year until all expenses of the forfeited year has been paid. No refunds for any classes are allowed.
I as parent/guardian agree to the one year/end of December contract and will fulfill all outstanding payments regardless of skipped classes or forfeiting of my child’s dance classes.
Payment Policy
In agreeing to all statements signed in this contract I, parent/guardian agree to the year fixed contract of the dance studio at DAMASA. I agree to have payment reflect the 3rd day of every month, including December month. I agree to the conditions that an overdue payment will lead my child to NOT be allowed to attend class until payment is made in full. I agree to the year contract or until End of December that if my child forfeits the dance classes and should not be dancing anymore to continue to pay the outstanding year / until end of December tuition fees. I agree as parent, my responsibility is to make sure my child attends class regularly and I am reliable for monthly payments even if my child has not attended class regularly in that month.
