1. Parents/Guardians are responsible for communicating absences and late arrivals with the appropriate teacher. 2. When possible MPAA should be notified in advance if a student will be away for class. This should either be put in a BAND calendar or DanceStudio Pro Account. 3. If entered in a competition or show students must attend all private lessons or classes in preparation for the event. 4. If the student is injured the appropriate teacher should be notified and the student may still watch the class. 5. If WE (MPAA) postpone, reschedule or offer a make up class (due to the class not being able to run at its regular time.) No credit or refund will be given. 5.1. If WE (MPAA) have to cancel a class and no alternative class is offered, registrants will be notified in advance and fees paid will be refunded or credited. 6. If a student/parent cancels a class, there will be no refund or credit given. This again relates to point 3.8 in the Fees policy.
1. Students and Parents/Guardians are not permitted to film or photograph classes unless given permission. 2. Photos and/or Video may be used for advertising on flyers or social media unless permission is not given by parent/guardian via media release form. 3. All choreography and music belong to MPAA and may not be used without written permission from Laura Druskat. This is inclusive of all styles and applies to all students.
1. Any individual wishing to attend MPAA must first complete an enrolment form or online registration. 2. Registration is valid for one calendar year only and new registration forms will be released for the following year. 3. To enroll, a registration fee must be paid upon registering. This fee is non-refundable. 4. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to update any changes to personal information. Change of information forms can be filled out at reception or online via your DSP Parent Portal.
1. An invoice will be issued to each family four weeks prior to the due date. This will be received as an email. Paper copies will only be sent out upon request. The total amount due can also be viewed via DanceStudio-Pro Portal. 2. Fees are invoiced per term and the full invoice must be paid regardless of how many classes the student actually attends. 3. No refunds or credits will be given if the student does not attend class. However, students may attend 1 substitute class at a lower level. 4. Multiple class discounts may be available. 5. Payment plans are also available and should be arranged with MPAA at the beginning of the year or registration, parents must be enrolled in AutoPay for payment plans to be established. 6. A late fee of 15% will be charged to your account if the payment due date is not met. You may also be requested to attend a meeting to set up a payment plan. 7. If a student withdraws and has not paid their term fees they will still be liable for the term fees. 8. Where fees are paid in advance no refunds will be given if a child withdraws from a class. This is considered as the child 'not attending' class. Please see points 2 & 3 above. 9. Debt recovery costs will be added to any outstanding fees that have to be recovered by our debt collection agency. Currently, this fee is 30% of the overdue amount. 10. Fees are posted to each family DSP account for the classes at the beginning of each term. 11. In the case of unforeseen circumstances where classes cannot be held in the studio and must move online via zoom or any other live streaming/ video conferencing methods, credits and/or refunds will not be given as per clauses 2 and 3. As in relation to clause 3.8 where classes have not been canceled, but still offered within the restrictions of the law. 12. If a student chooses to withdraw prior to the end of the year, their final term invoice must still be paid out in full. 4 weeks' notice is required in writing and sent via email to finance.mpaa@gmail.com . Where 4 weeks notice of cancelation is not given in writing families will be charged for 4 weeks of lessons which the student may attend.
1. It is important that MPAA has all correct contact details for each family so all important information can be easily relayed. 2. Invoices and important information will be sent to parents via email and on occasion, a printed hard copy. 3. Communications of concerns or queries should be directed to the studio via email or phone call. 4. Communications sent through PERSONAL MESSENGER (eg. personal Facebook page/ Instagram page / Whatsapp) WILL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED. 5. If possible all parents must download the BAND app for ease of communication.
1. In the event of an injury, MPAA Staff will administer First Aid treatment by a qualified first aider. If medical services are necessary and an ambulance required, the student/parent will incur the costs. 2. To assist with first aid physical contact may incur. 3. Physical contact between teacher and student may occur to help demonstrate and teach dance moves and/or tumbling. Physical contact may also be required to help correct posture. 4. If inappropriate physical contact occurs between staff, student, parent, or visitor it should be reported in a written incident form immediately.
1. The uniform policy set by MPAA is compulsory for all students and must be worn to all classes. This includes the correct shoes for each style of dance. 2. Uniforms are outlined in the current years handbook. If you are unsure what your child should be wearing please refer to your handbook or contact MPAA staff. 3. Parents are strongly encouraged to label all items of uniform. 4. Hair is to be in a bun for ballet classes. And secured back off the face for all other classes.
