Policies and Procedures
Studio Registration & Tuition Policy:
The registration fee is due upon registration. The registration fee is a one-time fee and must be paid upon registration. Tuition is due by the 1st of each month, REGARDLESS of absence of the week tuition is due. If accounts are not paid by the 10th of the month, there will be a $10 late fee.
Tuition is based on a monthly amount whether there be 5 weeks in a month or 3 due to holidays. We do NOT pro-rate for missed days, holidays, or school vacations. If your child misses a class, they will have 30 days to take a make-up class of their choice.
There will be a $20 fee for returned checks and/or declined bank/credit cards on any outstanding debt.
Attire:
Ballet:
Hair MUST be in a bun for all ballet classes
Black leotard for all ballet classes
Pink tights
Pink ballet shoes
Hip hop:
T-shirt or tank top
Leggings, shorts (no jeans)
Tennis Shoes
Tumbling:
Barefoot
Leggins, capris, shorts
Dance top
Jumps & Turns, Jazz, Tap, & Lyrical:
Jazz pants, capris, legging, or shorts
Dance top
Jazz shoes or half soles, tap shoes for tap
I understand that required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn in class at all times. Hair must be worn up and away from face at all times. The studio is NOT responsible for providing dancers with required dancewear.
Class Procedures/Attendance/Withdrawal Policy:
Please have your child arrive at class 5 minutes before start time, dressed in proper attire.
Any student arriving later than 15 minutes from class start time will not be permitted to dance. This is strictly a safety issue as a student could suffer from any injuries due to not having properly stretched.
Please NO food, drinks, or gum are allowed in the dance rooms. Water bottles are to be kept in the lobby.
Each week students are to attend the class(es) they are enrolled in. In the instance a dancer misses a class due to illness, vacations, or any other circumstances, he/she may do a make-up class. Make-ups must be used within 30 days of absence and must be a current student to attend any make-up class.
If you have paid a month’s fee and drop classes during the beginning or middle of the month you will not receive a refund. You may however, finish the rest of the month and drop at the end of that particular month. If you drop classes in the middle of the month and have not paid for that particular month you will be billed at your monthly rate for the entire month. To ensure that you do not get billed after you have dropped a class, please make sure to call or email us to let us know that you will not be returning so that we may remove you from the class list and our billing system.
All children are to be supervised by their parent/guardian at all times before and after their dance class(es). Pure Movement Dance is not responsible for unattended children inside the lobby, empty studio room, or outside the premises.
Release of Liability
As the legal parent or guardian, I release and hold harmless Pure Movement Dance, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises under the control and supervision of Pure Movement Dance, its owners and operators or in route to or from any of said premises.
Medical Emergency
The undersigned gives permission to Pure Movement Dance, its owner and operators to seek medical treatment for the participant in the event they are not able to reach a parent or guardian. It is required that all students be covered by their own family insurance policies.
PHOTO RELEASE: By signing below, I give permission for photographs and videos of my child in dance class or performances to be used in promotional material for Pure Movement Dance in both print and web publications.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
