We would like to start off by saying, "thank you for joining our Dance, Acrobatics and MMA family". We are very passionate about our classes. We hope to pass that passion on to your child. When enrolling please make sure you are ready to commit to our program for the full 9 months year. Our dance, gymnastics and mixed martial arts year is September-May. *Dates are subject to change. If you have any questions about ANYTHING throughout the year, please call or text (386) 362-1906 between 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. There are a few things that we would like to let you know as we begin another great year at The Dance Shop, TDS. With regards to dance, a one-time yearly registration fee is due at sign up in the amounts of $40 for one child, $75 for two children, $105 for three children and $130 for four children. We will perform at least three times throughout the year including Christmas on the Square. There may be additional performances throughout the year. Additional performances will be announced. We will finish the dance year with a recital. We will announce closer to the date. If your child does not take all three core classes (ballet, tap and jazz) she / he is not guaranteed to perform at every show except our end of the year dance recital. Kiddie Kombo groups will perform at every venue. They may also be worn during regular classes. Dance costume prices are $60-$90 (depending on type of class taken) and will be broken down into payments and billed to your account in four (4) monthly instalments. Costume(s) payments must be paid by the 15th of each month listed or a $10 late charge will be applied to your account as well as additional shipping charges. Please note that tights do not come with costumes and must be purchased from The Dance Shop to assure color match. With regards to dance students, should you drop out of a class in the middle of the season you will be charged a $35.00 cancellation fee due to the inconvenience to the studio, class, and instructor; and due to our inability to replace you once the season starts. No refunds will be given for any tuition, fees, or attire paid/purchased. You will also forfeit any costumes purchased, for the studio to fill the vacancy left by not fulfilling the full 9 month dance season. Parents will agree to pay all collection fees if account becomes delinquent. I understand I will not receive a refund for any fees paid. I will also forfeit any costumes purchased, for the studio to fill my vacancy if I do not fulfill the full 9 month dance season. Exception: If you decide to end classes before December you will not pay the $35.00 cancellation fee. Proper notification is required 30 days in advance. If you order your shoes at registration, they will be available (if in stock) when dance begins. Additionally, we place orders at the end of every month. Any items ordered through The Dance Shop must be paid for when the order is placed. Our uniform for Mixed Martial Arts students is $60. Registration is $20 for the 1st child, $15 for the second and $10 for the third. Each additional child is $10. We offer optional private classes with regular class participation at an additional $20 for 30 minutes or $35 for an hour. Our Gymnastics uniform is $80 for Girls and $60 for boys. Registration is $40 for 1 child, $75 for 2 children and $105 for 3 children. Additional children over 3 are $25 each. One month's tuition constitutes as four classes apart from School Holiday/Breaks/Winter Break/Spring Break and the last week of class before recital. If your child starts at the beginning of our year, they will receive 36 classes. On the occasion there is a "5th" class during a month, we do not charge for the "extra day". However, we may use the extra day for a makeup of a cancelled class if needed. Please reference a yearly public-school calendar. If we need to have a makeup class, you will be notified via email first and followed by text and/or the "Remind" app. In some instances, such as MMA or dance our instructor(s) may go over during classes to makeup the missed class. In this event a "makeup class" will not be needed. Throughout the year we participate in various fundraisers. These fundraisers help with costs incurred for costumes, performances and our end of the year recital. In addition, you will also receive a percentage of the funds you raise in the form of a credit to your account. This ensures that everyone may participate. We send out weekly emails with updates and important information. Please check your emails or you will be out of the loop. Your email address will be used for studio business only and will stay confidential. We also send information home so please check your child's book bag for the latest information. If your child is going to be absent please call or text us as soon as possible, (386) 362-1906. We offer pickup for dance and gymnastics students only. If you would like your child picked up from school or daycare, please let us know. A note must be sent to the facility allowing us to pick up your child. Please refer to the front desk for the cost of this service. If your child is dropped off at the studio more than 15 minutes before or after class, we charge $5 per 15 minutes for babysitting. We send information several different ways. The most common is email, text messaging, Facebook and Remind. Please make sure you keep your information updated so that you will not miss vital information. Always check with our front desk for the latest information.
