It is important for students to abide by a dress code policy for the following reasons:

* A neat and tidy appearance sets an attitude of attentiveness and respect for students, teacher, and the art of dance.
* Teachers must be able to see the dancer's body outline clearly to make proper corrections on posture, alignment, etc.
* Hair must be properly secured and tied up off the face and neck for all styles of dance, preferably in a bun.
* Jewelry must not be loose or dangling.
* Gum chewing is not allowed due to the danger of choking and appearance.
* No loose-fitting pants, blue jeans, or t-shirts, except for hip-hop classes

*Baby Ballet & Pre-Dance 2*
Girls: Any color leotard and tights, STRING-FREE ballet shoes, and dance skirts are allowed.
Boys: Any solid color T-shirt or tank and black dance pants or sweatpants, black leather ballet shoes.
NO bare legs and hair must be securely tied up. Ponytails are allowed.

*Youth I & Level 1-3 & Tribe Team Dancers*
Girls Teen/Adult: Any color leotard, any color tights, and pink ballet slippers. Short dance skirts are permitted.
Men/Boys: Black tights or dance pants, black or white solid color T-shirt, and black leather ballet slippers.
TRIBE DANCERS: All black leotard and tights, bun for ballet
NO bare legs and hair must be securely tied up. Ponytails are allowed.

*Hip-Hop*
Boys & Girls: Baggy clothes are allowed for this class only!! Tennis shoes are required!
Long hair must be securely tied up. Ponytails are allowed. Blue jeans/jean shorts are not allowed.

*Lyrical or Contemporary*
Girls:  Any color leotard and footless or transitional tights. Yoga/Jazz pants or dance skirts are allowed.  Bra tops are also acceptable and form-fitting booty shorts are allowed. NO t-shirts or baggy athletic shorts, please!
Men/Boys: Black dance pants, black or white solid color T-shirt.  Students dance in bare feet or lyrical shoes/half soles.
NO bare legs and hair must be securely tied up. Ponytails are allowed.

*Musical Theatre Dance*
Girls: Any color leotard and footless or transitional tights. Yoga/Jazz pants or dance skirts are allowed.  Bra tops are also acceptable and form-fitting booty shorts are allowed. NO t-shirts or baggy athletic shorts, please!
Boys:  Any color shirt and black dance pants or sweatpants and jazz shoes.
NO bare legs and hair must be securely tied up. Ponytails are allowed.

**NEW THIS YEAR**
Our clients must keep a credit card on file. This will NOT enroll you in autopay in our system. If you choose to be enrolled in the autopay system, you can enroll in your portal. Tuition fees will be posted to your account on the 1st of each month. Our current dance fee payment policy states that all class fees are due between the 1st and the 7th day of the month. A $15.00 late fee will be assessed on the 8th of the month on any unpaid balance.

If your tuition is not paid by the 8th of the month, the following actions will be taken:
1.) We reserve the right to pull your dancer out of class until tuition is paid in full.
2.) If tuition is still not paid by the 24th of the month, we will charge your credit card on file for the current amount due.
3.) Your dancer will not be allowed to participate in the recital.
4.) All recital costume fees that have been paid will be forfeited.
5.) Ownership of said costumes will revert to the studio.

Miss Andrea’s Dance Factory Studio Policies

We are committed to providing a well-rounded, quality dance program for our students. We are confident in the quality, appropriateness, safety, and correctness of our instruction and operational policies. However, please feel free to comparison shop, as all teachers may not be a perfect fit for every student. You and your child are entitled to a satisfactory dance experience. Our doors are always open, and we welcome all students—new and returning.

*Class Fees*

*Due Date: Class fees are due within the first 7 days of the month. On the 8th day, a late will incur a $15.00 late fee. Accounts more than 30 days overdue or with consistent delinquencies may result in suspension of the student’s participation in class.

*Recital: No student will participate in the recital until all fees, including late fees, damage charges, and costume payments, are paid in full.

*Financial Difficulties: If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact Andrea Abbott. We believe no child should be denied the opportunity to dance, and we will work with you to find a solution. All discussions are confidential.

*Discounts*

*Discounts are offered for multiple class enrollments. Please note that payments are non-refundable. Class fees are based on a 10-month term and do not include additional costs such as dancewear, shoes, costumes, recital fees, or recital tickets. These are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

*Missed Classes*

*No Pro-rated Fees or Refunds: There are no pro-rated fees or refunds for missed classes. Upon registration, you commit financially for the entire term.

*Make-Up Classes: If a class is canceled due to an instructor’s illness or an emergency, a make-up class will be scheduled. Alternatively, with prior approval, students may attend a different class as a make-up. Snow days and holidays do not qualify for make-up classes.

*Withdrawals*

*Health-Related Withdrawals: Withdrawals due to health reasons (with a doctor’s note) must be reported to Andrea Abbott immediately. Financial commitments will be reviewed and discussed at that time.

*Repeated Withdrawals: Students who withdraw more than twice during a term may be expelled and encouraged to enroll at another studio.

*Observation & Videotaping*

*Classroom Observation: Parents are not permitted to sit in the classroom or videotape classes unless prior arrangements are made with Andrea Abbott. The studio has a camera for viewing classes from the lobby.

*Waiting Room Etiquette: The waiting room is available for families to wait, snack, read, and socialize. Please respect others and ensure that snacks are dry and peanut-free.

*Promptness*

*Arrival: Please arrive with enough time to prepare for class. This includes parking, changing, and restroom use. Students should be dressed in proper attire with hair pulled back, jewelry off, and dance shoes on, ready to begin class on time.

*Pick-Up: Parents/guardians are responsible for picking up their children promptly at the end of class. Small children (under 7) must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If running late, please notify the studio as soon as possible. Children will not be allowed to wait outside unsupervised.

*Be Prepared*

*Dress Code: Students must adhere to the studio's dress code, arrive prepared with necessary attire, and be mentally ready for class. Students who are not prepared will be required to observe, and their attendance will count as present without make-up time being offered.

*Label Belongings: All items should be labeled with the student's name. Miss Andrea's Dance Factory is not responsible for lost or misplaced items.

*Hygiene*

*Proper hygiene is crucial in maintaining a healthy studio environment. All dancewear should be laundered after each use. Hair should be clean and properly secured, and deodorant should be used by students ages 7 and up.

*Dress Code*
Please consult the front desk for appropriate dancewear and shoes, as they may vary by class.

*Class Dismissal*
The instructor will dismiss class. If class starts late, it may run late. Early dismissals must be arranged by the parent/guardian prior to the start of class.

*Schedule Adjustments*
We reserve the right to adjust class structures and schedules to adhere to local health department guidelines. In the event that classes need to be conducted online, tuition and cancellation policies will remain unchanged.

*Conduct Outside the Classroom*
All students, parents, and siblings are expected to show respect for the studio, staff, and fellow students both on and off-site. Proper behavior is expected at all studio events, performances, and when representing Miss Andrea’s Dance Factory.

*Liability & Insurance*
I understand that dance classes involve activities such as stretching, barre work, across-the-floor combinations, and other related exercises, all of which carry some risk of injury. I acknowledge that Miss Andrea’s Dance Factory does not provide health or medical insurance coverage for my child, and I assume responsibility for any such coverage.

Miss Andrea’s Dance Factory is not responsible for personal property.

Our philosophy does not support a "quitting" mentality. We encourage parents to foster a sense of commitment and accountability in their children.

Media Release Authorization
I hereby grant and authorize Miss Andrea’s Dance Factory the right to take, edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, distribute, and make use of any and all pictures or videos taken of my dancer for promotional materials, including but not limited to newsletters, flyers, posters, brochures, advertisements, fundraising letters, annual reports, press kits, submissions to journalists, websites, social media, and other print or digital communications, without payment or other consideration.
This authorization extends to all languages, media, markets, and formats now known or hereafter devised. This authorization shall remain in effect indefinitely, unless I revoke it in writing.
I understand and agree that these materials will become the property of Miss Andrea’s Dance Factory and will not be returned.
I hereby release and hold Miss Andrea’s Dance Factory harmless from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, or causes of action, whether known or unknown, arising out of or related to the use of these materials. This release is binding upon me, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, and any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate.

Miss Andrea’s Dance Factory Studio Policies
Please note the following guidelines regarding all classes:

1. Dress Code: Students are expected to carefully observe the dress code at all times.

2. Late Arrivals: Any student arriving more than 15 minutes late should not be admitted to class. For your safety and to fully benefit from the class, please arrange for a make-up session if you expect to be very late.

3. Leaving Class: Students are encouraged not to leave the room once class has begun. Please ensure appropriate restroom use before class. Very young children will be treated sensitively as needed. Young children may require a parent’s attention for reasons such as bathroom needs or behavior issues. Please do not leave the waiting room when very young children are in class without informing the office or assigning another parent to be responsible during your absence. We strive to create a safe, caring, and inspiring learning environment for all children.

4. Respect for Classmates and Teachers: School-age children and teens are expected to practice respect during class. Socializing in a disruptive manner with other students is not allowed. Please arrive early or stay late to enjoy time with friends in the waiting area. Honor your teacher and fellow students by giving your full attention and cooperation. If we feel a student is not well-adjusted to the classroom environment over time, parents will be notified.

5. Illness or Injury During Class: If a student complains of illness or sustains an injury and cannot participate, the instructor will send them to the office, and parents will be notified if they are not on the premises.

6. Observation of Class: Only students with a pre-existing sickness or injury are allowed to observe class. Parents must notify the office if a student is to observe.

Dance class is both educational and fun. However, developing discipline and respect for teachers and fellow students is a key part of the class experience. By following these guidelines, we aim to create a positive and enjoyable environment for everyone at Miss Andrea’s Dance Factory.
