We are committed to providing a well-rounded, quality dance program for our students. We are confident in the quality, appropriateness, safety and correctness of our instruction and operation policies. However, please feel free to comparison shop. All teachers are not for all people and you, and your child are entitled to a satisfactory dance experience. Please know that the doors are always open and that we welcome all students new and returning.
~Class Fees: class fees are due within the first 7 days of the month. Payments received 10 days after will be assessed a $15.00 late fee. Consistent delinquent accounts or an account more than 30 days past due may result in suspension of the student from participation in class. No student will participate in the recital until all late fees, damage charges, and costume money is collected, and the account is clear. If you are having financial difficulties, please call Andrea Mueller. Miss Andrea's Dance Factory does not want to deny any child an opportunity to dance, and a viable solution is available. Discussions regarding any financial and/or other extenuating circumstances are confidential and will be handled with the highest regard for your privacy.
~Discounts: are provided for multiple class enrollments. Payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. Class fees are based on a 10-month term. Class fees do not include dance wear, shoes, costumes & accessories, recital fees or recital tickets. These are additional costs and the responsibility of the guardian or parent.
~Missed Classes: There are no pro-rated fees for missed classes. There are no refunds for classes missed. Once registered, you are obligated for a financial commitment for the full term. If a class is cancelled for an emergency or illness of the instructor, a make-up class will be scheduled later or the student may attend another class of some type and level with prior approval, which will be considered a make-up class. Snow days and holidays do NOT have make up classes.
~Withdrawals: Withdrawals for health (proven with a doctor's excuse) must be reported to Andrea Mueller right away. Negotiations of financial commitments will be discussed at that time and arrangements will be made. Students who quit more than twice during a term for any reason will be expelled and asked to consider enrolling in another studio.
~Observation & Videotaping: Parents MAY NOT sit in the classroom or videotape a class unless prior arrangements have been made with Andrea Mueller. There is a camera in the studio where you will be able to view your student while sitting in the lobby, and not interrupting our classrooms. Your full cooperation and support will be necessary and expected. Please note that the waiting rooms are made available for the convenience of our students and their families. The waiting rooms are for waiting, reading, snacking, conversation, video viewing, homework, and children playing with toys or games brought from home. We ask that you please respect the activities of others and the classes in session. Please only water or tightly covered drinks and dry non-Peanut snacks!
~Promptness: We request that you arrive at the studio with adequate time to prepare for class, parking, changing, restroom, etc. Students are required to report to their class on time and ready for class. This includes being appropriately attired; hair pulled back, jewelry off and dance shoes on!! All children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult for their safety. (Either sitting in the lobby or in your car) Parents/guardians are responsible for picking up their said child upon the completion of class in a timely matter. Miss Andrea's Dance Factory cannot guarantee the supervision of children picked up late from class and does not have the staff to support such a task. If you are running late, please call the studio as soon as practical. This will help ease a nervous child and allow us to plan for supervision. Parents of small children must come into the reception area to pick up their child(ren). We will not allow children to wait outside unsupervised.
~Be Prepared: Students must arrive dressed according to the Dress Code and with all necessary hair accessories, shoes, etc. and mentally prepared to enter the classroom. Students who are not adequately prepared for class will no longer be allowed to participate in class and will observe only. Students who are not prepared and allowed only to observe will be considered present and will not be offered any make-up time. Student’s names must be on their items. Miss Andrea's Dance Factory will not assume responsibility for lost, stolen or misplaced items. Purses and or valuable items may be kept in the studio during classes. Please avoid bringing more than is necessary to class to avoid clutter. This goes for cellphones/apple watches/tablets too!!
~Hygiene: Proper hygiene is essential in all aspects of life. It is very hard to approach a child or parent about lack of cleanliness or offensive body odor. However, in a dance studio where activities include sweat and students are moving through space, odors can become a terrible distraction and an embarrassment for the child should a classmate be insensitive and say something aloud. To avoid these problems, please be sure that all dancewear is laundered after each wearing, hair clean and pulled back properly and deodorant should be a consideration for all students 7 and up for dance class.
~Dress Code: Students will need to adhere to the dress code set forth by this studio. Please consult the front desk for appropriate shoes, dance wear, for each individual class, as they vary from class to class.
~Completion of Classes: Your child’s instructor will dismiss class. If a class starts late, it may run late. If a student needs to be excused for any reason during class, they must ask permission of their instructor. Early dismissals must be arranged by the responsible parent/guardian prior to the beginning of class. This is a matter of safety and will be enforced.
~Due to ever changing circumstances, we reserve the right to adjust our class structure and schedule to adhere to the local health department guidelines and regulations. In the event that classes need to be conducted online, tuition and cancellation policies will remain the same.
~Outside the Classroom: All students, parents, guardians and siblings on or off-site Miss Andrea’s Dance Factory expects proper respect for the director, staff, studio, curriculum, fellow students and facility. When participating in a studio event, performance, out of town excursion or when wearing the studio logo, general deportment is as important as your ability to dance. Parents needing to speak to the director should email the studio rather than hold instructors up between and during classes.
~I understand that dance classes may include, without limitation, dancing with props, stretching, barre work, across the floor combinations, dance routines in the center, and other related activities. I further understand that all of the activities of the dance class involve some degree of risk of strain or bodily injury. I understamnd and acknowledge that MADF does not carry or maintain health, medical or disability insurance coverage for my child(ren) and therefore I agree to assume responsibility for such insurance coverage on my child(ren)
~Miss Andrea’s Dance Factory is not responsible for personal property.
Miss Andrea's Dance Factory's philosophy is not conductive to the “quitting” habit, and we recommend parents strongly develop a stern commitment to completion and accountability.
We welcome your comments and suggestions. If any parent/student wishes a private conference concerning your individual dance goals or financial concerns, please do not hesitate to ask. We are happy to work with you to ensure that your school year will be one of pleasure and growth. The entire faculty and staff wish you a fantastic year of dance!
