You must be over 18 to register for an account. There is no cost associated with trial classes but these are limited to 2 week free trial per student per class. Registration fees will be payable immediately to confirm your enrolment and this is non-refundable. Tuition fees will be added to your balance within 1 week of your enrolment, after which time payments can be made upfront, weekly via bank transfer, weekly via Autopay, or via EFTPOS or cash in the office.

To start us off, its important to us at Dancenergy that all members of our team share our vision, our purpose and the philosophy that encompasses everything we do both in and outside of our classes. This is a vision that is shared and demonstrated by the principals, teachers and staff members at our studio and it is the driving force behind every interaction with our students and their families.
Dancenergy is a place where kids of all ages shapes and sizes learn to dance, develop and perform. This is a studio where creativity, individuality and self-expression is encouraged and has a community of teachers, students and families who are passionate about performing arts.

Phones must be switched on silent and must not be checked during classes.

ATTENDANCE
Regular attendance helps consistency and ensures each student receives the most benefit for the class attending.
If you are unable to make a class or are going on holidays, please indicate this to the class teacher & you are more than welcome to attend any makeup classes on other days.

COPYRIGHT
Ready Set Dance, Ready Set Ballet & Ready Set Acro are programs that are protected by copyright. Your teacher will let you know what songs can be recorded.
If you are taking photos please remember to take them only of your own child unless you have the permission of other parents.
The best way to enjoy the class is to actively watch the class and then listen to the class teacher for the best photo and video opportunities.

COMMUNICATION
By now you have probably noticed that we are big on communication here at Dancenergy. It is our promise to respond to all enquiries and we will never leave a query unanswered. Our friendly office staff can be contacted on 0467 274 190. Our admin/office times vary day to day. Alternatively you can use the Contact feature on the Parent Portal.
For convenience, our primary means of communication will be electronically through the portal and via email. You will receive your invoices via email so please ensure you have provided the studio with an up-to-date email address that is regularly checked. We are of course happy to include multiple email addresses per family if you would like your correspondence sent to numerous recipients. Dont forget to add our office email address admin@dancenergystudio.com to your contacts so we dont end up in the dreaded Spam folder!
We are also proud to provide you information round-the-clock via our very own Parent Portal. You can access the portal anytime at www.dancestudio-pro.com/online/dancenergy.
In the infrequent case of urgent information (for example, unexpected class cancellations, student illness or injury during class), we will send an SMS to all families. So, for this reason, please make sure the mobile phone number you have provided to the studio is correct and up-to-date.

CODE OF CONDUCT
To ensure the smooth, safe running of Dancenergy and an enjoyable experience by all, below you will find our code of conduct. As always we are open to feedback, so if any of the requirements outlined below are unclear or concerning, please give us a call to discuss further. Following a formal meeting, we do reserve the right to dismiss or take disciplinary action on any students or parents who breach our studios code of conduct.
Families who do not comply with their fee payment obligations may be charged a late fee, and/or excluded from performances. External debt collection may occur when fees remain overdue and this will be at the expense of the client. Costume will not be issued to students with unpaid all inclusive fees.
No classes (including private lessons) or teachers are to be disturbed unless it is an emergency. Parents are not to approach teachers or students during class and if messages or food/drink/medication needs to be passed on to a student, it must be done through a Dancenergy staff member. All parents must wait in the waiting areas or outside of the studios until classes have been dismissed unless invited in by the teacher.
We are unable to take responsibility for our students before or after their scheduled classes and it is the responsibility of the parent to ensure their child is picked up and dropped off on time. In the case of an emergency or unavoidable delay, please contact the studio immediately to inform us of the situation so we can keep your child calm and safe until they can be collected. Students in Pre Junior and above may be supervised by Admin staff during Studio Office Hours only - in between classes and on scheduled breaks.
Any questions or complaints must go through Principal Kirstyn Burton in writing. Parents and students are not permitted to contact Dancenergy teachers via phone, in person, or via email / social networking with studio issues unless it has been broached with the Principal first. Personal meetings with the Studios assistant Principal can happily be arranged if required.
In the rare case of a parent or student showing disrespect or defamation to any parent, staff member or student, a meeting will be called immediately and dismissal may be considered at the discretion of the Principal. Physical, mental, emotional or cyber bullying by parents, staff or students will not be tolerated and will result in dismissal from the studio.
Dancenergy takes no responsibility for any stolen or misplaced property on the studio premises and we encourage our families to avoid bringing valuable items into the studio where possible.
Only private lesson students are permitted to enter solo competitions and it must be with the permission of their teacher and choreographer.
Dancenergy management reserves the right to change teachers or timetabling when necessary at any time throughout the year.
Choreography, costuming and studio policies remain the intellectual property of Dancenergy and may not be reproduced or sold by any students, parents or staff without permission of the Principal.

CLASS OBSERVATION
Watching of classes is not permitted unless invited by the teacher.
This starts with the very first lesson.
Allowing parents & siblings in to watch just becomes too distracting and noisy for both the students and teachers.
If your child is quite unsettled in the first few weeks we ask that it is only one parent that comes in with them.
Otherwise, as most of us Mums know, they are usually fine when we leave or they just take a little while to settle down. Stay on the premises but teach them that they can do it on their own.
You will be advised of any watching weeks.
This is where you can come and watch some of the class.
We usually have one each term for our minis department only.
We also invite you in at the end of a class during special weeks such as Mothers day, Fathers Day, Easter, Halloween & Christmas.

Fee Schedule
Fees will be charged to your account shortly after enrolment for the entire term. These fees can be paid upfront or via weekly payments either via bank transfer or you can choose to sign up for our Auto-Pay payments (see below for more information).
All term tuition fees are due by week 6 unless you have a regular payment plan in place (weekly AutoPay). If term fees have not been paid by week 6 and there have been no regular payments, a reminder will be sent after which time late fees may apply.
All previous term fees must be paid before the next term starts. Failure to do so may result in the student not being able to participate in their lessons.

All-inclusive
Dancenergy has an all-inclusive fee structure for 2025. Class fees will now cover all concert participation fees, costumes, trophies, photos, professional Concert footage and additional rehearsals required throughout the year. This means that there will no longer be any surprises or hidden extras throughout the year or at concert time. We are very excited to be continuing this structure after great feedback from previous years.

Due to the all-inclusive nature of the fee structure for 2025, any students who enrol after Term 1 Week 1 will be charged a small pro-rata fee in addition to the enrolment fee, to cover any costume/concert fees that have not been paid to-date. This will ensure there are no surprises or hidden extras throughout the year or at concert time.
The following exceptions are not covered by the all-inclusive fee structure: enrolment fee, stockings, shoes, uniform items, concert spectator tickets, earrings/accessories. If you decide to leave the studio at any time within the year before the concert, any inclusive parts that have not been used will not be refunded. And no discount on fees will be applied if you choose to not participate in the concert.

Term 4 Tuition payments
During term 4, tuition payments will be due earlier than other terms (approximately week 4) to ensure tuition is paid in full for students to collect their concert costumes. If you are signed up for Auto-Pay, a higher rate of tuition will be charged for the first few weeks of Term 4 to ensure that the tuition is paid in full ready for costume collection. If you are making regular payments yourself (weekly or fortnightly), please ensure that you increase the rate that you are paying each week to ensure that the fees are paid in full before the costume collection week.

Payment Options
Payment of fees can be made via Direct Bank Transfer, EFTPOS or Cash. EFTPOS transactions will attract a 1% surcharge. We also have an autopay option available for parents who would like to have their tuition fees charged to their nominated credit card weekly. There is a small 3% processing charge for this service and payments will be charged every Monday during the term.

ANNUAL CONCERT FOR ALL STUDENTS
Students work extremely hard all year and look forward to showcasing their talent and improvement in front of family & friends.
Each concert class will perform one dance and will participate between 1-3 concerts.

Concerts are not compulsory but 99% of students do participate.
Please make sure you advise the principal in writing before the end of Term 2 if you are not participating in the concert for any reason.

We pride ourselves on putting on a professional production every year.
Performances are held at Laycock Street Theatre in North Gosford generally in either November or December.
We will advise you as soon as we have our dates confirmed from the Theatre.

The Dress Rehearsal is held on either a Saturday or Sunday at the studio.
The Stage Rehearsal/Preview Show is held at the Theatre, during one or two weekdays.

All inclusive pricing may include;
All rehearsals, security backstage (not dressing room supervision as this is a parent volunteer position) & a participation Trophy & concert video footage, photos & costumes.

Term 4 auto-payment arrangements will be charged at 20-25% per week instead of 10% to ensure that all fees are paid before costume pickup.

Just a reminder again, There will be NO refund of any inclusive sections if your child leaves mid year.

With the safety of our families a number one priority, Dancenergy is very serious about upholding Child Protection laws and policies within the studio as well as at public performances and in the online arena (website and social media).
As part of your registration, you will have read and signed a media waiver allowing us to proudly use images and video footage of your student for advertising and promotional purposes. Should you have any concerns whatsoever with signing this declaration, please see our staff who will happily assist you.
All of our teachers and staff members have undergone official checks allowing them to work with children.
The directors and staff at Dancenergy are educated in the negative impact of inappropriate music and costume selection when it comes to performing dance routines and are wholeheartedly committed to ensuring children in all of our dance routines are not subjected to any inappropriate songs or costuming. We recognise that songs with sexist, explicit, violent, racist, homophobic or criminal content may influence our dancers and/or audience and will strive to avoid using such music.

When you purchase or hire a product or service with Dancenergy, the information we may collect from you includes your name, address, telephone numbers, email addresses, medical information and perhaps credit card or bank details. It may also include details of the products and services we provide to you as well as the status of your enrollment. We only collect information directly from our students or their parent/guardians primarily for the purpose of providing services and products to you and to administer and manage invoicing and debt collection.
We may occasionally use your information to promote and market to you information which we consider may be of interest to you unless you contact us and tell us not to do so.
We will never sell or pass on any of your information to third parties unless required by government authorities or in the event of debt recovery. Any information passed on will be done so with appropriate privacy and confidentiality protection.
Information is stored securely in paper or electronic form and is accessible only by authorised personnel.

LESSON ATTIRE & UNIFORM

LESSON ATTIRE
The studios dance attire is available from dancenergy studios Uniform Shop

All uniform is compulsory by beginning of Term 2.

Dancenergy uniform must be worn in all classes.

We maintain a dress code to encourage concentration and a sense of inclusiveness.

Variations in attire can be distracting and contribute to feelings of inequality.

Uniformity in dancewear allows the teachers to assess how well the students are implementing the technique being taught, problems with alignment, and other important aspects of dance training.

Appearance must always be clean, neat & tidy.

Students with long hair should wear their hair tightly secured and styled away from the face; a neat pony tail is preferred in all classes and a Ballet bun is a requirement in Ballet classes.

Students should carry their dancewear, shoes, and other belongings in a bag. Please print your child’s name on the bag as well as on all of its contents.

Dancewear is to be kept in good repair and laundered on a regular basis.

No casual & sloppy attire & No school uniforms.

The correct shoes must be worn to class, students are NOT to dance in stockings or socks only, and students do so AT THEIR OWN RISK.

Students are expected to observe good personal hygiene habits.
