VIVA PERFORMING ARTS WAIVER AND POLICIES
Welcome to all our returning and new students to Viva Performing Arts Center! We are so excited to have you as part of our family.
Our first mission is to provide the highest quality dance instruction to allow students the opportunity to grow and develop into well-rounded, strong, and appreciative dancers.
Our second mission is to build confidence and self-esteem, enforce a strong value system, and provide an environment that will nurture growth and development for every dancer.
Viva Dance Studio is excited to be celebrating its 38th Anniversary this year. We are proud to have fostered the love of dance and culture for Tucson's youth for nearly 4 decades.
Please take the time to read the enclosed information on guidelines and policies of Viva Dance Studio.
TUITION INFORMATION
All students enrolled at Viva must sign up for autopay on the parent portal. A bank account and rotating number (No convenience fee) or a valid credit or debit card ($2+ convenience fee) is required for registration and tuition is kept on file on your secure parent portal.
Tuition is automatically processed on the first of every month through autopay. Members who register for classes at Viva Performing Arts are enrolling for the current August-December & January -July Season. The YEARLY tuition fee is paid monthly. Tuition pays for a student’s spot throughout the year regardless of attendance. Tuition is a fixed rate, regardless of the number of classes in a month. Some months students will receive more classes at no extra charge and some months due to pre-planned closures students may receive fewer classes. Throughout the calendar year, classes will even out.
Tuition is prorated if new students register mid-month or mid-year.
Tuition is not refunded if a drop is requested after the 1st of the calendar month.
Viva Performing Arts does not offer any refunds or credits once tuition has been processed. Viva Performing Arts is not responsible for a student’s attendance. There will be no refunds, credits, or makeup classes given for studio closings for holidays and no refunds or credits given for summer camps, recitals or events.
Auto-pay credit-cards processed on the 1st of each month.
Monthly Tuition fees are not pro-rated for missed classes. Any classes that are cancelled by Viva will be re-scheduled as make-up classes.
If payments are paid in cash at the front desk each price point is $10 more a month.
In addition to the regular tuition-The city of Tucson charges a 2.6% tax on all dance lessons
FOR EACH MONTH It is the parents’ responsibility to verify that funds have been taken out of their checking account or credit card. If funds have not been withdrawn, please inform the front desk immediately.
** A $15 late fee will be applied after the 10th of each month.
WITHDRAWAL FROM STUDIO
Viva REQUIRES WRITTEN NOTICE of withdrawal by emailing vivaperformingarts@gmail.com Student’s accounts will continue to be charged until Viva has been notified in writing of withdrawal. If a child withdraws or takes a break and then returns to Viva, there is no guarantee there will be space in their original class.
PLACEMENT IN CLASSES
Students are placed in class based on age and grade level. Skill level will also play a significant role in class placement under the discretion of the director and instructor.
Each class consists of 45 minutes of instruction. All classes are subject to an enrollment of 8 or more or the class may be cancelled.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS
We always need parent volunteers, such as class representatives, backstage dressers, stage crew, security fathers, fundraiser coordinators etc. If you would like to help on the parent
Volunteer committee throughout the year, please let us know, we would really appreciate it!
STUDIO POLICIES
To make the most of your experience at Viva, we highly encourage dancers to attend classes consistently and to come with a positive attitude and hard work ethic.
No Food or Drink allowed in classrooms only water bottles are acceptable in the danceroom. No chewing gum allowed.
Please try to avoid talking to instructors right before class. Questions should be directed to the office staff first.
To be fair to all Viva Families, parents and siblings are not allowed in dance room when class is in session, unless the instructor has asked a parent to come in to assist. If a child cannot be in the class without their parent, they will have to wait to enroll at Viva until they are ready to take the class alone.
