1. I understand that there are specific risks of physical or property damages, losses, illness (including COVID-19), or injury that may result from my or my child's participation in in-person or virtual dance classes, photo days, or extra curricular events with Elements Dance Co. Inc. and its equipment, including but not limited to the use of barres, props, mats or mirrors, photography equipment and I voluntarily assume the risks associated with such participation.
2. If the studio cannot reach me in the event of an emergency I grant them permission to call an ambulance. I further agree to assume full financial responsibility for any medical attention.
3. Permission is granted to Elements Dance Co Inc. to use photographs or videos of students for publicity purposes.
4. FEES
**Sessional classes**
10 week sessions do not have a registration or costume fee. They are non-refundable after the first class.
**Full season classes- READ CAREFULLY**
All "full season classes" run from mid September- mid June. These classes will participate in the 2025 year end recital at the Bert Church Live Theatre in June. The following payments are due at the time of registration and are non-refundable:
-Registration/membership fee ($35 per dancer + GST) *Upgrade to our Elements Experience membership fee for $64 per family and receive exclusive perks*
-Last month's tuition instalment (June 2025)
-Costume deposits for the year end recital are due November 15th 2024 (or upon registering after that date) and are NON REFUNDABLE once the costume has been ordered.
-$85 + GST for classes age 3
-$95 + GST for classes age 4-6
-​$120 + GST for classes age 7+
-Recital tickets and optional year end dance photos are not included in your tuition. Siblings and dancers who participate in multiple dance classes may be assigned to different recitals. We do our best to cater to over 400 students each season!

5. TYPES OF PAYMENT
Upon entering your credit card information you must choose to be on the Automatic Payment Plan which means you will be charged on the 1st of each month for tuition fees. Please let us know if you wish to pay the full year upfront. We do not offer a discount for paying the full year upfront.
We can also accept cash prior to the 1st of the month. We DO NOT accept debit or EFT.
6. OVERDUE ACCOUNTS
RETURNED PAYMENTS LATER THAN 10 DAYS WILL BE SUBJECT TO A $35 LATE FEE. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
Overdue accounts will be subject to a 10% charge of the total balance after 30 days. If an account becomes two months overdue the dancer will not be able to attend their classes and their parents will be called to pick them up.
7. NUMBER OF CLASSES
**Please note that each class receives a minimum of 32 lessons per year (taking into account holidays and studio closures). The fee for these 32 lessons has been split into 10 equal instalments due on the 1st of each month, so whether a month has 2 classes or 5 you still pay the same amount. Some days of the week may exceed 32 classes throughout the season- these are considered courtesy classes and you are not charged for these extra classes.** If the studio needs to be closed due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather or an unwell instructor, we will do our best to schedule a make up class if your class allotment falls below the 32 guaranteed classes per season.
Competitive classes may run on a modified schedule during competition weeks including the cancellation of classes.
8. WITHDRAWAL FROM CLASSES
If you plan to withdraw from a class, we must receive written notice or email one month prior to the 1st of the month you wish to withdraw from. NO refunds will be given after March 1st as recital preparations are underway for your dancer. No exceptions will be made unless for medical reasons.
Summer camps will be subject to a 25% administrative fee if cancelled up to 14 days in advance. If cancelled less than 14 days in advance, 50% of the fee will be withheld.
9. COMPETITION ENTRY FEES (Competitive teams only)
All fees, including competition fees, that are collected by Elements Dance Co. Inc. on behalf of participants, and remitted to a third party are collected by Elements Dance Co. Inc. acting in its capacity as agent. The terms and conditions set by the third party apply to the extent that they relate to the collection, use and refund of fees. In the case of a refund from a third party for any reason, Elements Dance Co. Inc. will, in its capacity as agent, forward the fees received back to the individuals they were collected from and remitted on behalf of. Elements Dance Co. Inc. shall determine, in its sole discretion, the method by which any fees shall be disbursed back to the individuals. Elements Dance Co. Inc. shall have no liability to participants to refund fees back to participants after the fees have been collected and remitted to third parties in accordance with the stated purpose for collection of the fees.
10. COVID-19
Elements Dance Co. Inc. will stay up to date on all Alberta Government Guidelines and requirements relating to COVID-19.
I hereby agree to keep my child home from their dance class(es) if they show any symptoms of COVID-19 in accordance with Alberta Government Guidelines.
In the event that a government mandated shutdown takes place, the current month's classes will be completed virtually and NO REFUNDS will be issued. Upon completing that month's virtual classes, all families will be given sufficient notice to decide whether or not they wish to continue subsequent months virtually.
