Enrollment Policy As of August 16, 2021:
Enrollment, Tuition, Registration and Termination
I understand and agree to the following:
-Tuition for Fall & Spring is based on four classes per month. Please note that tuition is not prorated when there are fewer than four classes, and in return, there are no added fees when a fifth week occurs. Fall & Spring tuition can be reviewed online under “Tuition.” Tuition for Summer is based on a flat rate per class/camp and can be reviewed on the website once the dates are posted.
-Tuition is subject to change based on inflation and demand for certain classes
-Tuition is non-refundable. We do not prorate or refund for absences, but we do offer make-ups. If we cancel for any reason, students will receive a credit towards future expenses.
-Enroll during our early registration periods & save on registration fee.
-It is your responsibility to make sure your class has dropped upon your request. Tuition will continue to be due as long as you remain active. There are no refunds for unused & un-dropped classes. A class is considered dropped when you receive confirmation from us after emailing your wishes to serenityacademypa@gmail.com.
-Annual Registration fee is approximately $50 for first student & $35 each additional student. It covers that child’s insurance and admin cost (copies, subscriptions) for the season.
-Fall recreational recital classes: To qualify for our monthly tuition rate, students must commit to our December & June Shows, and therefore, to class participation from August-June. We offer students two-week trial classes to try everything in their age group for $35. That $35 is applied to the annual registration fee if they commit to what classes of the parents and students’ agreement. It is your responsibility to make sure your class has dropped upon your request. Tuition will continue to be due as long as you remain active. There are no refunds for unused & un-dropped classes. A class is considered dropped when you receive confirmation from us after emailing your wishes to serenityacademypa@gmail.com.
-Fall and Spring technique/adult classes: Tuition is paid on a month-to-month basis and is non-refundable once paid. If the student no longer wishes to attend a class, an email must be sent to Serenity by the last day of the current month to avoid being charged for the following month. It is your responsibility to make sure your class has dropped upon your request. Tuition will continue to be due as long as you remain active. There are no refunds for unused & un-dropped classes. A class is considered dropped when you receive confirmation from us after emailing your wishes to serenityacademypa@gmail.com.
-Serenity reserves the right to refuse or terminate enrollment for any reason. No refund of the current month’s tuition will be made upon termination of the agreement; however, future monthly automatic payments will cease upon notification.
-Tuition is run for the last month of classes which include show and covers the majority of payroll for our staff to work during rehearsals / show days.
-Tuition is your top priority expense. Any money you pay towards costumes, show fees, or extra items will be applied to any outstanding balances first and then the rest can be applied to show expenses.
-Competition team members sign a year contract committing to practices, rehearsals, appearances, performances and competitions. If you drop before the contract term expires, fees you have paid are not refundable under any circumstance as entry fees are paid early in the season.
-During show & holiday months, FULL tuition is still due regardless of the date being held before the end of the month. Tuition due in full covers staff payroll for the extra rehearsals and work they do during our shows. They are also working during holidays planning your shows and lesson plans.
-Unfortunately, if you miss recitals or competitions for any reason, refunds are not possible for any costumes, show fees, tickets, gifts, or tuition.
If you are selected as a member of our competition team, you are committing to an entire season of tuition, specialty costumes, team apparel, specific shoes, private choreography fees, competition entry fees, travel fees, and coaches fees. These fees are explained in detail to you at the interest meeting and provided to you for review prior to signing your commitment contract. If you choose to leave the team, for any reason, the contract is still enforced with the understanding that fees you have paid are non-refundable.
-We value your privacy at Serenity. We do not sell or give out any personal information about our students or families. However, we do waive all responsibility to any data breaches that may occur on our parent portal or website. We do not store your payment information anywhere at Serenity. Cards on file are secured through our parent portal and payment processor. We photograph and video our students on occasion and use those photographs/ videos in our media. Because our students are usually in a group setting, it becomes almost impossible to avoid your child being included in our photos.
