CALENDAR
-N-Step Dance Academy will be loosely following the Forsyth County School Calendar.
We will be closed on the following dates:
Fourth of July Week
Labor Day: September 2, 2024
Fall Break: September 23-September 29, 2024 (non-company)
Halloween: October 31, 2024
Thanksgiving: November 25-December 1, 2024
Holiday Break: December 20, 2024-January 6, 2025 (non-company)
Student Holiday: February 14-February 18, 2025 (non-company)
Spring Break: March 31-April 6, 2025 (non-company)
Last Day of Classes: Friday, May 23, 2025
Memorial Day: May 26, 2025
Showcase & Summer Planning: May 27-June 8, 2025

STUDIO POLICIES
-ALL registration paperwork is required to be filled out prior to the class start date.
-NO street shoes allowed on the studio dance floor at any time.
-NO food, drink, or gum allowed in the classroom.
-Only water bottles are allowed in the classroom. NSDA does have water fountains located next to the bathrooms.
-No cell phones allowed in the actual studios during classes.
-Dress Code policies are required to be followed.
-Students are to wait inside the studio until their ride arrives. Students are not to leave the studio at any time after they are dropped off by their parents/guardian.
-Students should arrive to class on time. We ask that if a student is going to miss a class, please inform the office manager of this absence.
-Newsletters and class announcements will be emailed, if you are unable to receive an email, please arrange a way to receive the information with the front office faculty.
-Parents are responsible for reviewing emails and posted information.
-N-Step Dance Academy reserves the right to ask students, parents, or observers whose behavior is disruptive or unsatisfactory to leave studio premises. We ask that all persons in the studio conduct themselves in a controlled and appropriate manner. We also prohibit the use of inappropriate language within our studio.

ATTENDANCE
Please be on time for class. Students should try to arrive at least ten minutes prior to class. Attendance is taken at the beginning of each class. If a student is unable to attend class for any reason, we ask that you contact our front office faculty. Eight (8) consecutive absences will result in the student not participating in the end of year Showcase.

If a student is absent for any reason, we ask that you speak with the front office administrative team for an alternate make-up class.
** If a teacher misses a class, they are required to schedule a make-up class. However, please remember that our teachers are trained in the area that they teach, it takes talent and training. Please be patient when one of our teachers misses a class for any reason, they only miss when necessary.

PAYMENT POLICIES
Remaining balance for Showcase costumes is due in October/November 2024.
For all overdue accounts (after the 10th of the month) there will be a $15.00 late fee applied for each month past due.
A $38.00 returned check fee will be applied to any applicable account.
Classes are non-refundable. There shall be NO refunds. (Special circumstances can be discussed and approved only by the Artistic Director regarding refunds.)

WITHDRAWAL
Withdrawals require a withdrawal form to be filled out and submitted before the 1st of the month to not be charged for that month.

I, in my legal capacity as the parent/guardian of the minor named below (“Minor”), acknowledge and agree that any use of the N-Step Dance Academy, LLC facilities, services, equipment, and premises (“Facilities”) and any participation in N-Step Dance Academy LLC programs and activities (“Programs”) comes with inherent risks including, but in no way limited to: (1) moderate and severe personal injury, (2) property damage, (3) disability, (4) death, (5) sickness or disease. I voluntarily, for myself and Minor, accept and assume full responsibility for these risks as well as any and all other risks of the use of Facilities and participation in Programs. I agree that I have full knowledge of the nature and extent of all such risks and am not relying on all such risks being described in this document.

The undersigned gives permission to N-Step Dance Academy, its owners and operators to seek medical treatment for the participant in the event they are not able to reach a parent or emergency contact. I hereby declare any physical/mental problems, restrictions, or conditions and/or declare the participant to be in good physical and mental health.

Costume Deposit/June Showcase Fee:

50% non-refundable costume deposit per costume due in September and 50% remaining balance due in October.
All costume fees are non-refundable.
There will be a Showcase fee (due in Febraury) to cover the costs associated with the year-end Showcase. Amount will be given after the 1st of the year.

I give permission for NSDA to use any photos taken either at performances or in class on NSDA's website and social media for publicity. No names will be used without permission

Non-Refundable Registration Fee:

New student: $40.00 p/student; $20.00 for each additional sibling
Returning student (2023/24 season): $32.00 p/student; $20.00 for each additional sibling
Registration fee is due at the time of enrollment

TUITION INFORMATION

The tuition fees are based upon a 9.5-month season divided into ten equal monthly payments.
The tuition fees are for NSDA classes, not for the location of the NSDA classes.
There will be no adjustments given in tuition monthly and tuition is paid regardless of attendance. (Some months there may be 5 classes and some months there may be 2 due to school holidays and closings)
There is a $5.00 class change fee once registered.
Tuition is due on the 1st of each month with a 10-day grace period. There will be a $15.00 late fee added to each account past due.
Withdrawals are required to have a withdrawal form turned in prior to the first of the month to not be charged for that month.

As the legal parent or guardian, I release and hold harmless N-Step Dance Academy, its owners, instructors, and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, illness, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of N-Step Dance Academy, its owners and operators or in route to or from any of said premises.

In consideration of Minor’s use of Facilities and participation in Programs I, in my legal capacity as parent/guardian of Minor, agree on behalf of myself and Minor that N-Step Dance Academy LLC, it’s officers, directors, agents, employees, volunteers, insurers, and representatives (“Releases”) will not be liable for any personal injury, property damage, disability, death, sickness or disease incurred by Minor, however occurring including, but not limited to, the negligence of Releases. I understand that Minor and I will be solely responsible for any loss or damage, including personal injury, property damage, disability, death, or sickness sustained from the use of Facilities and participation in Programs.

I further agree, in my legal capacity as he parent/guardian of Minor, on behalf of Minor and myself to release and hereby do release, waive, and covenant not to sue. Releases from any causes of action, claims, suits, liabilities or demands of any nature whatsoever including, but in no way limited to, claims of negligence, which Minor, myself and any and all legal successors may have now or in the future against releases on account of personal injury, property damage, disability, death, sickness, disease or accident of any kind, arising out of or in any way related of the use of Facilities or participation in Programs, whether that participation is supervised or unsupervised, however the injury or damage occurs, including, but not limited to, the negligence of Releases.

In further consideration of the use of Facilities and participation in Programs, I, in my legal capacity as parent/guardian of Minor, agree on behalf of myself and Minor to indemnify and hold harmless Releases from any and all causes of action, claims, demands, losses, suits, liabilities, or costs of any nature whatsoever, including claims of negligence, arising out of or in any way related to the use of Facilities and participation in Programs.
