REGULAR ATTENDANCE is very important. If a student misses four or more classes a quarter without making them up, he/she will be dropped to a lower level until the makeups are completed. If a student misses four or more classes during the 3rd & 4th quarters the student WILL NOT be able to participate in the Student Performance at the end of the year. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS unless otherwise authorized. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR MISSED CLASSES.

TUITION is payable in advance or by the dates below. There will be a $10/week fee for installments that are received past the due date without prior arrangements and a $35 fee for returned checks. Please do not give installments to the teachers.
Dance Tuition is divided into four quarterly installments:
First installment due: Wednesday, September 4
Second installment due: Monday, October 28
Third installment due: Monday, January 13
Fourth installment due: Monday, March 17
Costume Fees for the Student Performance will be billed in February as they ARE NOT included in tuition payments.
WITHDRAWAL FROM CLASSES can only occur if a student has a signed doctor's note. Our Registration Form signs your student up for classes for the entire school calendar year. If a withdrawal is desired by any student without a doctor's note, all fees for the quarter must be paid, NO EXCEPTIONS. We will not prorate for classes already attended.
STUDENT PERFORMANCE A student can only perform with their designated ballet level if they are taking all the classes for that level. During our annual student performance, the use of cell phones, including texting, photographic and recording equipment is strictly prohibited throughout all performances. Violators will be escorted out of the theater.
CANCELLATION OF CLASSES due to inclement weather will be announced on our social media pages. An email notification will also be sent from the school. There are no refunds for classes canceled due to weather or Acts of God.
Ballet and Dance is committed to providing a safe, positive learning environment for its students. Ballet and Dance understand that BULLYING creates an atmosphere of fear and intimidation which is distracting from our mission and may lead to more serious issues of violence. Ballet and Dance has a strict NO TOLERANCE policy for bullying and will not tolerate bullying whether it is verbal, electronic, written, or physical, regardless of whether it takes place in the ballet studio, theater, or on social media. Anyone who witnesses or experiences any act of bullying by a B&D student should report it to their teacher immediately. All complaints of bullying will be investigated and addressed and may result in the discontinuance of enrollment if need be.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY / ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK / PHOTO & VIDEO RELEASE:
I understand and agree that in participating in any dance class, workshop, rehearsal, or performance, there is a possibility of physical injury and, in rare circumstances, death. I agree to release and hold harmless Ballet and Dance of Upstate NY, including its teachers, dancers, staff members, and facilities from any cause of action, claims, or demands now and in the future. I will not hold Ballet and Dance of Upstate NY liable for any personal injury or any personal property damage, which may occur on the premises before, during, or after classes. Furthermore, I understand that I should be aware of my, and/or my child's physical limitations and agree not to exceed them. If I am signing this waiver for my child, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and have the right to waive these rights. Further, I authorize and agree that Ballet and Dance of Upstate NY may take and use photographs/videos of me and/or my child for purposes of record-keeping, advertising, and marketing. I understand that I do not have any rights to these photographs/videos and will not be compensated for the same.
I hereby release and agree to hold Ballet & Dance of Upstate New York Inc, harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my children, and any personal representatives, any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, and compensation for damage or loss to myself, my children and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of the studio, or that may otherwise arise in any connection with any services received from Ballet & Dance of Upstate New York Inc. I understand that this release discharges Ballet & Dance of Upstate New York Inc from any liability or claim that I, my children, or any personal representatives may have against the studio with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from or is in connection to, any services received from Ballet & Dance of Upstate New York Inc. This liability waiver and release extend to the studio together with all owners, partners, and employees.
