I am enrolling my child at Studio West Dance Center. The dance season runs August 19, 2024 - June 7, 2025 for all Pre Pro classes. Performance level classes are offered in sessions or monthly during the 10 month period. Fall Session (1) includes our Winter Show in December, and Spring Session (2) includes our Spring Show in June.
An annual, non-refundable enrollment fee of $35 per student or $50/family must be paid at time of enrollment. This fee covers administration and processing costs for your account, and is good through summer classes. This fee renews each August.
Enrollment: Performance Level only - Session 1 (fall) includes our annual Winter Show (no fees) in December. Session 2 (spring) includes our annual Spring Show in June (costume and tech fees apply). You are not subject to performance or costume fees unless enrolling in the final session (2) prior to the June Spring Concert. Sessions are only offered to Performance level classes.
*All Pre-Pro classes are on the 10 month program as outlined below. Additionally, when enrolling in Pre-Pro classes, there is a 4 class minimum in pre pro and ballet masters classes. Enrollment must be approved by the instructor and the Director of SWDC.
Tuition Rates: Are calculated on a monthly basis of 4 classes or events a month. The number of classes or events held within each month may vary due to holidays or some months having 5 weeks, but it averages out over the year. All accounts must either pay by cash or check at the front desk, or have a card or ACH payment form on file for auto payment.
Payment for enrolled class(es) is due on the 1st day of each month and considered late after the 10th day of each month. Auto pay accounts will be ran on the 1st of each month. A late fee is automatically charged on overdue accounts the 11th of each month for each unpaid item.
*August (½ month) will be assessed with September (full month) and due in August. May (full month) and June (½ month) will be assessed and due in May.
Autopay: If you enroll in the autopay program, ALL charges posted to your account will be run on the due date, or the Thursday before, if the due date falls on a weekend, in accordance with your signed autopay agreement. Your card or ACH payment form on file must be kept current to avoid any fees associated with declined payments.
Late Fees/Declines Payment Fees: Payments received after the 10th of the month will be assessed a $20.00 late fee per unpaid charge. Failure to make payment by the fourth week of the month will result in additional late fees of $10.00 per month, per unpaid charge. SWDC reserves the right to drop your child from the program if a payment remains past due after 45 days. Please note that a $40.00 fee will be charged on all returned checks. Declined cards and ACH payments will be subject to a late fee, so please keep your autopay information up to date with us. Accounts will be given 30 day grace. When accounts go 60 days unpaid, they will be subject to outside collections.
Class Terms: Our classes run August 19, 2024 - June 7, 2025 and include our annual Winter Showcase and Spring Concert. This agreement binds you for a period of 10 months to the tuition outlined above. By your initial herein and signature below, you agree to this term and acknowledge the cancellation notice and policy page 3 of this agreement. This is true for all Pre-Pro classes as well as Performance Level on a monthly agreement. *Sessions classes are as outlined above.
Performance Fee: An annual, non-refundable Spring Performance Fee of $75 must be paid by February 1st or at the time of enrollment if it is after February 1st. This fee helps to cover the costs of production for our shows.
Costume Fees: I also understand that by enrolling my child/ren in dance class, I am committing to pay for costumes for their performance in the Spring Concert. To that end, there will be a costume fee per class posted by January 1st. Costume Fees will be due March 1st for all enrollees. The fee will be $75 for all Performance level classes, and Ballet Masters costumes are $85. Dancers on pointe will have an additional $85 costume fee. For the majority of classes, this fee will be sufficient but in a few cases, there may be a remaining costume balance which would be due as posted. Dancers will not receive their costumes until all account balances are paid in full.
**Costume and Performance Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE
***A $20 late fee for each posted costume will be assessed if paid later than March 10th **
Communication: SWDC feels open communication with our families is essential to a successful relationship. We utilize email to distribute both updates and monthly invoices. Please keep a current email on file with our front desk so that you don't miss any communications! We email several handouts over the course of the year with information such as important dates, costume details, winter and spring show details, etc. We will also have hard copies of these handouts available upon request at the front desk. Please utilize our website for keeping up with our calendar, class schedule, special events, and so much more.
Makeup/Holiday: There are no refunds or credits for classes missed or for classes which fall on a holiday. As appropriate and necessary, we will do our best to schedule makeup classes when classes are canceled due to inclement weather (up to 2 per year). We are unable to allow a student to attend a different class as a makeup, since classes are both age and choreography specific. However, in some instances, we may be able to schedule a private makeup session if desired.
Absences: We ask that you (or your dancer if age 18 or older) notify the Studio West Dance Center office if your child will not be attending a regularly scheduled class due to illness or other conflict. Please email the front desk at frontdesk@swdcfc.com
PURCHASER'S RIGHT TO CANCEL:
YOU, THE PURCHASER, MAY CANCEL THIS CONTRACT AT ANY TIME DURING THE TERM OF ITS EFFECTIVENESS. YOU MUST GIVE WRITTEN NOTICE TO THE DANCE STUDIO THAT YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE FURTHER BOUND BY THIS CONTRACT. THE NOTICE OF CANCELLATION MAY BE SERVED IN PERSON, BY TELEGRAM, OR BY MAIL TO THE DANCE STUDIO AT THE ADDRESS STATED IN THIS CONTRACT OR AT THE LOCATION WHERE DANCE LESSONS ARE CONDUCTED. WITHIN THIRTY DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF YOUR NOTICE OF CANCELLATION, THE DANCE STUDIO SHALL REFUND TO YOU THE CONTRACT PRICE LESS THE COST OF GOODS AND SERVICES ALREADY RECEIVED BY YOU AND AN AMOUNT OF LIQUIDATED DAMAGES EQUAL TO NOT MORE THAN TEN PERCENT OF THE COST OF THE REMAINING GOODS AND SERVICES.
It is the policy of Studio West Dance Center, if you choose to cancel the agreement and withdraw from classes, you must do so in writing to the front desk, with 30 days notice. You will be charged a penalty in the amount of 10% of the balance due for tuition and other fees for the remaining term of the agreement. We will not accept withdrawal notifications via phone call. In calculating the 10% penalty allowed by law, tuition is calculated at the rate of per class hour, and not the discounted rate.
