Regular attendance in all dance classes is expected of all registered students. Dance requires consistent ongoing training, and dancers who excessively miss classes will not be able to execute their talents at the same level as those who have attended all classes regularly. Punctuality is just as important as attendance, please be on time and prepared for class. If you are running late to class, please contact our Studio office at 302-543-5257. Dancers who are more than 15 minutes late to class will not be allowed to participate.
Melodic Movements Performing Arts Program Placement is based on the following criteria: technique, commitment level, and attitude. Melodic Movements Staff will place students together in their appropriate class level.
Parents should sign dancers in at the front desk and sign out upon dismissal. Parents are more than welcome to wait in the lobby during class time, however, parents are not allowed in the dance studio during class time. No food or drinks permitted in the dance studio or in the lobby only water. Bathroom breaks will only be permitted during class time in the event of an emergency. We encourage dancers to use the bathroom before or after class. Dancers who are over 15 minutes late will not be allowed to participate in class.
All registered students, parents and families will be held to the highest standards of conduct. Communicating negatively to or about anyone in or outside our studio will not be tolerated. Melodic dancers, parents and families are expected to show courtesy and respect to all admin staff, instructors, directors and other students. Any student, parent or family member who exhibits negative or disrespectful behavior will be asked to leave class and or the studio. Melodic Movements dancers, parents and families should always be respectful and have a positive spirit attitude and behavior.
I acknowledge that participation in dance is potentially dangerous and there is an inherent risk of injury involved. In allowing my child to participate in Melodic Movements Performing Arts Program Inc. activities, I hereby assume all the risks associated with the performing arts. I understand the importance of myself and my child following the instructions and rules set by their instructor/s, and I agree to release Melodic Movements Performing Arts Program and it’s employees of any and all liability which may arise as a result of my child’s participation in activities at Melodic Movements Performing Arts Program Inc.
I, the undersigned, give permission for Melodic Movements Performing Arts Program Inc. to use video footage and / or photographs of my child. This usage may include (but is not exclusive to) displaying publicly, distributing, or publishing, photographs, and/or video of my child for use in materials that include, but may not be limited to: - printed materials (eg - brochures and newsletters) - online and offline advertising and promotion - videos and digital images such for use on Social Media. By signing this form, I acknowledge that I am giving unrestricted permission for my child’s image to be used in print, video, and digital media. I agree that these images may be used by Melodic Movements for a variety of purposes and that these images may be used without further notification. I do understand that any identifying information including location will not be used in conjunction with any video or digital images.
Refunds will be evaluated on a case by case basis and may result in a studio credit.
Melodic Movements uses automatic bill pay for tuition. We encourage parents to have an active card on file at all times. Parents who opt out of bill pay MUST pay prior to the 5th of the month. Payments will be deducted on the 1st of each month. There is a late fee of $20 that will be applied on the 5th day of the month for unpaid accounts or if payment is not successfully processed After the 5th of each month, dancers with tuition balances will be unable to participate in classes.
A 30 day written notice is required to withdraw from any 10 month class at Melodic Movements. Enrollment ends 30 days from the date of notice.
