1)Studio Clothing purchased from the studio is allowed in class. 2)No other Studio attire Allowed 3)Students Must wear the proper dancewear and Dance shoes for the appropriate class without jewelry other than small earrings. (MANDATORY) 4) Dance Shoes are to be worn only in Dance Studio. 5) NO SOCKS are to be worn while dancing on the Dance Floor. 6) No street shoes are allowed on the dance floor. Please do not allow your child to wear their shoes outside. 7) IF DANCER DOES NOT HAVE THE PROPER ATTIRE AND SHOES FOR CLASS, THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN PRACTICE.
1)The Studio closely follows the Miami Dade School District Calendar; however, we do not close for teachers’ in-service, conference days and certain holidays. Please refer to our calendar. 2) If classes should need to be canceled due to weather, an email or message through group chat will be sent out and it will be posted on our page. 3) If a student is unable to attend class, please email, text, call The Studio to inform us of this absence. 4) We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a class time for reasons of insufficient enrollment or instructors’ professional discretion. 5) Students should arrive for their lesson in their studio attire no earlier than 15 minutes prior to class time and be picked up no later than 10 minutes after class is over. 6) We will be communicating only digitally through App, Online, Email, Group Chat and website.
*Dancers should be prompt for class. All students should be ready and properly dressed at least five minutes prior to their scheduled class time. *Water bottles with closed lids are allowed in studios. * Students should always asking before leaving the room for any reason and upon returning enter quietly. *All students and guests are required to pick up after themselves. *Remember that no food is allowed inside the classrooms. *If your child has Flu like symptoms or a cold, please do not bring them to class. *If a student has excessive absences of practice, they will not be able to perform in the competitions or certain routines for recital performances.
(All Classes): Hair should be pulled away from face and off the neck for all dance classes. All dance shoes should not be worn outside the studio space. It is extremely important to only wear tap shoes on the dance floor. Concrete or other hard surfaces will scratch the metal tap, which in turn will scratch the studio dance floors. 2024-2025 Parent Contract Recital and Competition participation is not a requirement. We assume you will be participating unless you notify us ahead of time. The total monthly tuition fee is to be paid monthly regardless of if they are (in trouble in school) (Punishments) or (any medical problems) other than death. The Erika Kay Star Dance Academy Recital Contract is designed to ensure all children participating in the dance recital or competitions will receive the same, great experience. In order to accomplish this goal, each student€™s parent/ guardian will need to be involved and committed. Withdrawing Enrollment If you or your student decides mid-year not to continue with a class, we must be notified by email. (Any withdrawal notifications received later than this date will still be subject to the following months€™s tuition payment. All withdrawal notifications must be sent by email. No withdrawal requests made in person to any staff of Erika Kay Star Dance Academy are considered appropriate or applicable. (You are still responsible for that month and the month after) Any withdrawal after January 10th, 2025, you will still be responsible for paying the remaining tuition (February-May) balance due in full. I, AGREE TO THE RECITAL ATTENDANCE POLICY Once we begin learning choreography in February before recital, students should not miss more than 2 weeks of class. It is important that all children come to class so that we can continue to move forward with the dance. I, AGREE TO THE COSTUMES FEE PAYMENTS Payments for my costume(s) are due April 1, 2025, for those students that will perform in the End of the year recital. All students are required to participate in the mid show case. Please initial and sign this and return to the front desk ASAP.
The options for Erika Kay Star Dance Academy tuition payments are as follows: *We use a web-based system which allows parents/guardians to login and view their students' class schedule, account details, make payments and more. *ALL ACCOUNTS SHOULD BE ON AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS. * *Parents or Guardians that are on AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS will receive $5.00 off your monthly tuition. This Means: *All monthly tuition will be charged on the 3rd of each month. A late fee of $50.00 will be added to any payment not received on the 3rd of each month (NO EXCEPTIONS). *All payments are to be made online will be charged on the 3rd of each month. *Invoices and receipts will be sent at the end of every month via email unless otherwise specified. *All Accounts must be paid in Full including Late Fee No later than the 8th of each month. If tuition has not been received by the 8th of the month, your child WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE in any outside events or dance classes until tuition is received NO EXCEPTIONS. *In the event both parents do not live in the same home, arrangements can be made to split billing and duplicate communication. Please have both parents contact Erika Dance Academy for more information. *Tuition will not be prorated or refunded for missed classes regardless of absences or illnesses or any reason. FOR ANY MEDICAL HARDSHIP ETC, YOU ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR MONTHLY TUITION. IF YOU HAVE TO WITHDRAW STUDENT FOR ANY MEDICAL REASON OR FAMILY ISSUES WHERE HE OR SHE CAN NOT DANCE ANY MORE, YOU MUST GIVE OUR COMPANY 60 DAYS NOTICE AND EMAIL MUST BE SENT TO erikadanceacademy@gamil.com EXPLAINING THE REASONS. IF YOU DECIDE TO RETURN BACK DURING THE SEASON, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY ALL THE MONTHS THAT WERE MISSED IN ORDER TO RETURN. The enrollment fee and monthly tuition are Non-refundable.
