SOULSHINE DANCE ARTS INC.
Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. is a new dance school in Fergus - Centre Wellington area. We are currently running our programs in the following facilities, Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) and the Melville United Church, until we find our permanent home.
Our 2024-2025 season will run from September 16, 2024 through to May 29, 2024. Classes run weekly subject to availability.
CLASSES/CAMPS - Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. provides structured dance classes that emphasize technique and the development of exciting new skills across various levels. Our camps introduce campers to a structured learning environment where they can acquire specialized and enjoyable new skills.
COMMUNICATION - Our main source of communication is through email. Please make sure to add our email info@soulshinedancearts.com to your contacts list or your list of safe senders.
DROP OFF & PICK UP - Please drop off and pick up your child/camper directly from the room, in which your child is having their class. Guardians are responsible for their child between classes, as there is no adult supervision. It is understood by the client that students will be dismissed within 5 min of class ending to allow for the next class to enter the space. Parents understand while in the lobby of Victoria Terrace P.S.:
1. Any items seen in the lobby of Victoria Terrace P.S. are property of the school and may not be accessed at any time.
2. The bathrooms closest to the SDA designated entrance to the school must be the only bathrooms utilized while in the school
TUITION FOR DANCE CLASSES - Tuition can be paid in full or 9 equal instalments.
- The first instalment is due upon enrolment in a class and will be processed at the time of registration.
- A non-refundable registration fee of $16+hst is due upon enrolment.
- Only one registration fee per family is required.
TUITION TERMS FOR CAMPS - Summer & March break camps will be charged in full upon registration. Payment must be made at time of enrolment. Camps are first come first served. Your campers spot is reserved upon payment.
PAYMENT FOR CLASSES - Registration and payment is made through our parent portal. We are happy to walk you through the steps of creating an account through the parent portal, just give us a call during office hours. Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. accepts visa, mastercard and debit payments. Payment for enrolled classes must be made prior to your child's attendance to class. Payment information can be updated in the parent portal and must be on file for registration to be processed and your child to have a place in one of our classes. The first instalment will be processed during your initial registration in the parent portal. Tuition is paid by equal installments or paid in full. There is no prorate of fees for holidays and/or scheduled closures. The installment schedule is listed below:

PAYMENT FOR CAMPS - Payment for camps is made at the time of registration through our parent portal.
PARENT PORTAL ONLINE REGISTRATION - It is understood that clients agree the payment information provided to Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. will be automatically charged for registration of classes (2024 -2025 Season September - May), programs, or camps that are selected in the parent portal. Payment information must be inputted into the parent portal in order for your child to be registered in a class. All statements including payment, charges and receipts can be tracked and viewed by the client through the parent portal. By completing the online registration, you are agreeing to the use of the e-signature.
LATE PAYMENT - It is understood by the client, any payments more than 14 days late, no matter the cause, will be subject to a 2% late fee charge. An additional 2% late fee charge will be added every additional week the payment is late until the payment has been made.
NSF FEE/INSUFFICIENT FUNDS - It is understood by the client, that any method of payment made to Soulshine Dance Arts that returns as NSF will have an NSF $35 Fee charged to your account.
INCLEMENT WEATHER/EMERGENCIES - There are no refunds for cancelled classes due to inclement weather or unforeseen emergencies. If classes are cancelled you will be notified via email, website and social media.
ABSENCE FROM CLASS OR CAMP DAYS - There are no refunds or make up classes for classes missed by dancers or days missed by campers.
SCHEDULING - Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. reserves the right to cancel or combine classes with insufficient enrolment. This is including but not limited to all dance classes and camps.
A refund will be given to the client if their class or camp is unable to continue due to low enrolment. Clients will be given 2 weeks notice of the cancellation in regards to camps.
LOW ATTENDANCE - Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. reserves the right that if attendance is low in a group class and only one student attends the class, the class will only run for 30 min. A guardian must be present for the low attendance 30 min class.
WITHDRAWAL POLICIES - Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. reserves the right to suspend or withdraw a student from classes if their account is unpaid or has a balance outstanding for more than a month. If a student decides to withdraw from their classes before the end of the Season, Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. requires notification of withdrawal by email from the guardian who initially registered the student. Tuition remains payable until the emailed notification is received.
WITHDRAWAL FEES - A $50 withdrawal will be added to the account for those who withdraw from classes before May 29, 2025. Not applicable to classes for those aged 4-5yrs. Registration fee is non-refundable for all ages.
WITHDRAWAL FROM CAMP - Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. must be notified via email no less than 14 days prior to the start day of camp that a camper is withdrawing from camp. A refund will be given upon email verification of withdrawal within the above time frame. A $50 withdrawal fee will be charged.
CODE OF CONDUCT - Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. (SDA) has a code of conduct that all dancers/campers and family members are required to follow while they are in the SDA program and class environment and premises. The code of conduct is as follows:
All dancers/campers and family member will treat each other with respect.
All dancers/campers and family members must respect SDA property & environment.
Bullying, gossiping, teasing behaviour by dancer, camper, or family member will not be tolerated and may give cause for the dancer/camper or family member to be asked to withdraw from Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. No Refunds will be given for the withdrawal.
Any aggressive behaviour by a dancer/camper or family member will be dealt with swiftly and will be an automatic withdrawal from Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. No Refunds will be given for the automatic withdrawal.
Any dancer, camper who does not want to participate in the provided programming will be given a quiet activity only when possible.
Verbally abusive behaviour or yelling in general will not be tolerated. The individual committing the offense will be asked to leave and not return. No Refunds will be given for the withdrawal.
Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. strives to be a caring, inclusive environment where positivity is nurtured. This code of conduct is in place to ensure that all dancers/campers have the opportunity to share in this experience.

Pre-Authorized Payment Agreement - In supplying my payment information in the Parent Portal, I authorize Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. as applicable, to initiate credit card charges or direct debit charges (and/or corrections to previous charges) from my account for dance tuition, camps, performance team costs etc. and to verify the billing address of my Credit Card with the issuing bank upon my signature. If Soulshine Dance Arts Inc. is unable to process my payment, I will be responsible for an alternate payment arrangement and any additional processing fees and late fees which results.
