Cancelations and Class Changes
We will notify you of class cancelations or class updates by email, you can also call us, check our website or Facebook/Instagram pages for updates on class cancelation. Our plan is to follow health recommendations and our goal is to provide a safe learning environment for students and staff. Therefore, we reserve the right to make all classes virtual if needed. In the case of cancelation due to weather or circumstances outside our control, the class cannot be refunded; however, students can attend a make-up class (or possibly a virtual make up). In the case of cancelation by an instructor, a make-up class will be scheduled. Class schedule is subject to change.
Make-Up Classes
If a student misses class, they can attend another class that is similar for a make-up class within the same session. As it gets closer to recital time, it may be harder to make-up classes as students will be practicing their routines.
Dancer’s Information Board and E-mails
There are bulletin boards in the waiting room designated for information for dancers and parents. A Leap Above Dance will also send a few e-mail updates throughout the year. Parents and dancers are responsible for periodically checking the bulletin board and e-mails for new information, especially near recital time.
Choreography
Choreography learned in classes is original; you must have Instructor and owner’s permission before performing choreography in front of an audience or at competition. Also, A Leap Above Dance will receive trophies and a portion of all prized earned at competitions.
Observing
Parents are welcome to observe any class from the waiting room. Parents inside the studios may be a distraction to dancers. In creative dance class, parents may come into the studio for the first or second class to help make their child feel more comfortable. After that, parents are asked to observe form the waiting room.
Tardiness
For the safety reasons; older students who miss the warm up of class will be asked to observe only.
