h. Recurring declines (3 or more months in an academic year) will necessitate full tuition payment for the remainder of the academic year to maintain enrollment.
i. A $35 penalty charge shall apply to each recurring credit card decline.
FEE for INCORRECT CHARGEBACKS: If an incorrect chargeback is made by a parent or adult student without discussing the tuition concern with Nritya Creations Management and the credit company reverses the incorrect chargeback after reviewing the documented school policy of the client agreement and contract, Nritya Creations will charge a $50 fee to the chargeback initiator to cover the costs of reversing the chargeback and penalties of the improper chargeback. We recommend avoiding chargebacks without discussing your concerns or questions with Nritya Creations management. We request you to email or call Nritya Creations Administration at manager.nrityacreations@gmail.com to resolve any tuition concern before initiating an incorrect chargeback. We are always ready to answer your billing questions. Chargebacks are usually reversed by the credit card company after reviewing this agreement and contract, our electronic Dance Studio Pro attendance records, electronic tuition receipts and electronic communications with the clients.
CLASS DURATION POLICY: There will be on the average of 4 classes each month with each normal class being one hour in duration. Some months may have 5 classes in a month and some months may have 3 classes in a month depending on the calendar and Holidays, but the average of 4 classes per month will be provided during the 10-month academic year.
HOLIDAYS: Nritya Creations observes all National Holidays such as Labor Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Thanksgiving Holiday. Nritya Creations will be closed during the week between Christmas (Dec 24th) and New Years (Jan 1st) in observance of the Winter Break and Holiday and during the 4 days Thanksgiving Holiday (Thursday- Sunday) and on Memorial Day. Nritya Creations will be open for classes during all other Holidays and Religious Holidays including South Asian Holidays and special Religious Observance Days but will respect a student’s need to take a leave of absence for those days. Makeup Classes will not be provided for National Holidays where we are closed.
CLASS ABSENCES: IF NRITYA CREATIONS CANCELS A CLASS, CREDIT FOR THE CLASS WILL BE GIVEN OR A MAKEUP FOR THE CANCELED CLASS WILL BE GIVEN. THERE WILL BE NO INDIVIDUAL MAKE UP SESSIONS OR TUITION REFUNDS FOR CLASS ABSENCES DUE TO ILLNESS OR ANY OTHER PERSONAL REASON. Students are encouraged to take make ups by attending similar level classes if they exist in any of our locations or taking an online class. Parents need to send an email or WhatsApp message to the class WhatsApp group notifying Nritya Creations Teacher and Management of any absence and the reason, if possible before the class absence to manager.nrityacreations@gmail.com.
LONG TERM CLASS ABSENCES: LONG-TERM CLASS ABSENCES (more than 3 consecutive missed classes) DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR SEPTEMBER TO JUNE, resulting from VACATIONS, ILLNESS, LEAVE OF ABSENCE must be COMMUNICATED TO NRITYA CREATIONS IN EMAIL. THERE IS NO FREEZING OF TUITION OR TUITION REFUNDS during the academic year for any reason. If a student cannot attend the studio classes for any reason including sickness, travel, vacation or injury, the teacher will allow the student to take classes on Zoom and provide necessary material to help the student catch up such as videos and notes.
If a student discontinues for any billing cycle due to any reason and then re-enrolls, the missed material must be made up through either private paid classes or applicable paid group classes to be reinstated into the same level class. Students who discontinue for any billing cycle and do not stay regular in continuous attendance during the 10-month academic year, will not be able to participate in the annual recital or cultural events and competitions. We provide students with the ability to stay enrolled and attend classes ONLINE on Zoom during their physical absence and receive the missed material on the Class WhatsApp page from the teacher. This avoids disruption of the progress of our classes. (Teachers will not stop the progress of an ongoing class to provide catch up lessons to a student who has missed many lessons.) Long Term Leave of absences (3 weeks or more) will be considered for special circumstances and Parents must communicate in advance with Nritya Creations Management and Teachers and a plan must be agreed upon on how the student will make up the missed lessons before resuming in the same level class. Students who do not make up for the missed lessons will not be allowed to return to the same level class.
SCHOOL ANNUAL RECITAL: Although participating in the annual Nritya Creations Dance Recital is not mandatory, all Students in Nritya Creations School are invited and highly recommended to perform in the Annual Dance Recital, “NAACH 360” in June showcasing the student’s annual leanings and talent. As Dance is a performing Arts, experiencing a live stage performance is a part of the Nritya Creations Dance Training Curriculum. Details of the Annual Dance Recital “NAACH 360” will be provided in the classroom by the respective teachers and emails from management. The Annual Recital will be held in a professional Auditorium with professional lighting and sound and will be a Ticketed Show in the month of June. Families will be required to purchase Packages for the participation of the student in the annual Recital. (The approximate estimated Package Price for the annual recital will be $150 and will include 4 tickets/wristbands, professional photography and video link of student’s dance and student certificates.)
RECITAL COSTUMES: Recital Costumes, Jewelry and Ghunghroos will be purchased and owned by students. Classical Bharatanatyam and Kathak Costumes will be tailor made to the student’s measurements from tailors in India specializing in classical dance costumes. The approximate costs for such custom-made tailored costumes will be (approximately $150) including shipping from India. Our classical dance students will be able to re-use these costumes for a few years.
For Bollywood, Indo-Contemporary and Fusion class costumes can either be tailor made to exact student’s measurements from India tailors (approx. $100 - $120) or can be purchased from Nritya Creations’ Inventory Collection of previously used inventory costumes (approx. $50) which are in good condition but may not be brand new. Some simple alterations may be required for fitting for the less expensive inventory costumes, as they are not custom made to a student’s specific measurements. Parents are responsible for any necessary adjustments to costumes.
Nritya Creations will select the color, fabric, design, and pattern for the recital costumes for each class.
RECITAL PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO: Recital photos will be delivered approximately 2-3 months post-event, with video links requiring approximately 3-5 months. An email containing a link to access these materials will be sent once all photos and video links are received from the vendor.
INTENSIVE FUSION DANCE TRAINING TRACK: Nritya Creations Performing Company (NCPC) performs at highly visible cultural events, fundraisers, festivals and competitions. There are 2 types of Student Performance Companies:

Nritya Creations Bollywood Fusion Performing Company: Requires students to study Indo-Contemporary/Fusion and Semi-Classical Bollywood.
INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED CLASSICAL DANCE TRAINING: Continuing students enrolled in intermediate and advanced classical dance classes at Nritya Creations (e.g., Bharatanatyam and Kathak) may be required to enroll in short-term summer intensive workshops at the discretion of faculty and administration. This is especially important for classical dance students to continue their practice and maintain the required fitness and stamina levels. It also ensures that students retain and expand on what they have already learned during the school year so that they do not regress. Students who do not enroll in summer workshops and maintain a regular practice regiment cannot expect to progress on to higher level dance classes at Nritya Creations.
