I agree to pay for tuition on the 1st of each month in advance via the Dance Studio Pro Auto-Pay system. I understand that if my account is in arrears by the 10th of the month I will be charged a £10.00 late fee in addition to the outstanding balance. I will contact Star Spirit in advance if I believe that there will be an issue with collection tuition. It will be at the discretion of the directors whether to waive the late fee.
I accept that it is my responsibility to update my card details as required via the Dance Studio Pro Parent Portal. I will call the office immediately if there is a difficulty with this.
I understand that my child will be on financial probation (not be allowed to train/ perform/compete) if I fail to pay on time.
I understand that I must give a minimum of 30 days notice to leave Star Spirit Cheer and Dance. I must complete a “drop form†online or in person (link available in the handbook). Phone calls to leave the programme will not be accepted.
Should my child choose to leave their competition team before July 20th 2020 I will be charged a re-choreography fee of £75.00 per team. I will be liable for the rest of my competition payments and these will continue to be charged. Directors reserve the right to waive this clause in extreme circumstances. Director’s decision is final.
I understand that my child may require uniforms or costumes. I accept that Star Spirit will communicate the cost of these to me in a timely manner. I agree to meet all payment deadlines.
I agree to pay all competition entries in line with my completed registration form. I understand they are non-refundable and must still be paid if my child chooses to leave Star Spirit or if they are unable to finish the competition season.

AGREEMENT OF CONDUCT 2019-20
I will ensure that my child attends all scheduled training sessions from September 2019 – July 2020. I will ensure my child is available to attend extra training as and when needed. Reasonable notice will always be given.
Absences are only excusable by emailing hello@starspirit.co.uk. this must be no less than 1 hour before the start of training or as soon as the absence is known, whichever comes first. This is the only way an absence will be excused.
Athletes will only be excused from practice if they have a contagious vomiting bug. If athletes do not feel well enough to participate they are still required to come to practice and watch.
I am aware that Star Spirit will operate a three strikes policy for unauthorised absences. If your child has 3 unauthorised absences during a season they will be asked to attend an absence meeting along with a parent. This is to discuss the issues behind absence/ lateness and how best to help.
The three training weeks leading up to an event are classed as the “Red Zone†– any athlete that is absent from practice in that time may be replaced for the event in question. Competition fees will still be payable.
I understand that In line with the Star Spirit communication policy I must commit to checking emails, join the facebook information group and download the Heja Communication app on my phone. I accept that it is my responsibility to keep up to date with information.
I will not use Star Spirit as a form of punishment for my child as I realise that it also punishes the team when someone misses training. Star Spirit will help my child to excel at school, at home and in all relationships.
I understand that it takes bases, flyers, spotters, dancers and tumblers to make routines work. Every member is an important part of Star Spirit; no one person/child/parent is bigger than the Star Spirit programme.
I will support each and every athlete as I would my own child. Whether they are a member of my child’s team or not, they are still a member of our Star Spirit family.
I understand that I cannot use the Star Spirit name or logo without permission from the Director/s.
I give lifetime permission to Star Spirit to use images of my child from both training and competitions to use in marketing for Star Spirit. This being not limited to starspirit.co.uk, Star Spirit Facebook/Twitter page, Instagram, leaflets, TV, magazines, newspapers, etc.
I understand that divisiveness, name calling, disrespecting other parents, children, the directors, coaches, leaders or volunteers are all things that are unacceptable. I understand that offending parents will be banned from practices/performances. If actions persist, the child of the offending parent will have to leave Star Spirit.
I understand that the director/s will listen to problems that are brought to their attention through the appropriate channel by emailing concerns/ questions to hello@starspirit.co.uk I understand that all decisions made by them are final, even though I may not agree with the decision.
I understand that for Child Protection reasons I am only allowed into areas designated for parents (reception and reception toilet), the main gym is out of bounds during a team practice or discussion, unless invited by the coach in charge at that point in time. I am aware that this also includes pre-warm up, warm-up and team discussions at competitions.
I understand that non-Star Spirit family members are not to be left unattended at any Star Spirit training sessions or event. I understand that my child should be collected promptly at the end of each session.
I have noted the dates of competitions and performances understand that these are compulsory. I will download the online calendar to my phone and check it regularly.
At competition, I will never approach an official/judge for any reason, as I understand that this could jeopardise the entire Star Spirit program. I understand that it is the responsibility of the Director/s and Lead Coaches to represent Star Spirit with excellence when dealing with competition officials. I will follow competition rules.
I will represent Star Spirit at competitions/events with good sportsmanship. I will only speak positively about the Star Spirit program/members, and will be friendly to all other programs. I will strive to be a role model, especially when emotions run high and Star Spirit needs my unwavering support.
I will uphold the Core Values of the Star Spirit programme and understand that Directors & Coaches will make decisions based on these for the good of the team as part of our integral culture. I agree to help all children in gym grow and develop as humans as well as athletes.
I authorise the Directors/coaches or squad officials of Star Spirit Cheerleading & Dance to seek treatment for any injury occurred by my child whilst training or competing and also to authorise the doctor and/or hospital nearby to perform treatment to any injury.
I will read the Star Spirit online Parent Handbook and continually refer to it throughout the season for updates.
Star Spirit will only deal with the nominated parent/s on the account when issuing schedules, event details & tickets.
I understand that if at any time I should fail to follow this contract or if I act in a way that jeopardises the name and reputation of Star Spirit, my child may be removed from the team list and asked to leave the program, by choosing to be part of Star Spirit, I agree to follow this “Parent Agreementâ€.
As an athlete of Star Spirit Cheer & Dance your child will be participating in vigorous activity. This will include but is not limited to stunts, mounts, tumbling, jumps and dance. Due to the nature of the activity we wish to inform you that the possibility of injury does exist, as with any other athletic activity. Star Spirit will not be held responsible should injury occur.
I confirm that my child has not been advised by a doctor or paramedic to avoid physical exercise and do not know of any problems that may adversely affect my/their health when taking part in the activities list above.
