• Tuition is due by the 1st of the month, after the 8th a $20 late fee will be added to your account.
• Tuition may be paid by cash, check, Venmo or card with a 4% fee. Returned checks will be charged
a $40.00 fee to cover the cost the bank charges us, no exceptions to this rule.
• Tuition will be pro-rated if you sign up in the middle of the month.
• Tuition can be made monthly, by the semester or by the dance year.
• You can receive a 10% discount on tuition if paying by the year, or 5% by the semester.
• Dancers accounts can be put on automatic withdrawal if desired. Please check that option on the
previous page or notify the front desk when registering.
• Tuition is due in full regardless of any missed classes due to sickness or personal reasons, unless
deemed fit by the Director.
• If you need extensions on monthly tuition please speak to the Director to make arrangements.
• Any account 60 days past due (2 months) will result in the removal of dancer from all TDM classes
or activities including the Showcase until account is brought up to current status. Any account 90
days past due (3 months) the dancer’s standing at the studio will be assessed.
• Any account that becomes late more than twice will be asked to put a card on file.
• In the event a dancer is asked to depart from the studio for any reason you are still legally
obligated to catch up your fees to time of departure in a timely manner. Any unpaid balances by
June 30th of this contract year may be submitted to a collection agency.
Withdrawal from Classes:
• If for some reason you or your dancer is unhappy with the services provided by The Dance
Movement, withdrawal is permitted at any time. Refunds on pre-paid tuition because of
withdrawal will not be given except under extreme circumstances. The Director will decide upon
the refund if she deems that one is fit.
• Withdrawal after March 31st will result in a $75.00 withdrawal fee in order to cover your dancers
spot in the Annual Showcase.
• In order to withdraw from TDM, you must submit a formal written letter stating your withdrawal.
If invoices are not paid up at the time of withdrawal you will still be legally obligated to pay
remainder of balance for time up to date of withdrawal.
• If withdrawing after March 31st when final payments on costumes and showcase fees are due, you
will not be refunded for any prepaid monies, but may receive costumes if invoices are paid to date.
• We do not refund after March 31st because of costumes already ordered and dances already in the
works. It can be challenging to rework the dances, especially for younger students, so we
encourage you to finish out the year.
• The Director may issue a refund should she deem fit.
Classes:
• Class size is limited and the Director reserves the right to place your child in the appropriate class
according to their age and skill level. The Director also reserves the right to move your dancer to a
different class to ensure that the class is not over filled. Any class with 5 or less attendees may be
canceled or combined with another class.
• Should schools cancel for weather, check our social media and our Remind messages for more
information.
Liability:
• The Dance Movement (TDM) or any persons employed by TDM will not be held liable for any
accident or injury to any adult or children while on our premises or at any events we are
participating in.
• The person dropping off or picking up your child is responsible for getting your dancer into and
out of the studio. Please do not allow your dancer to walk freely outside of the studio in order to
keep them safe and away from all possible dangers. The Dance Movement is not responsible for
any accidents in the parking lot of the studio, inside or outside of studio property.

Student Absences:
• We encourage your student to be present to all classes.
• If you miss classes there will not be a make up class or refund for that class. Please try to only
miss classes if it’s for a family or medical emergency.
• In the case of excessive absences leading up to the Annual Showcase, you understand and agree
that there will be no makeup classes or refunds on tuition. If your dancer has missed more than 3
classes after March 31st, they could be omitted from the performance or you must schedule a
private class from the instructor for a private class fee. This will not reduce or eliminate your
financial obligation.
**TDM Company Dancers will have a separate policy that is outlined in your company handbook.
Showcase Information:
• At the end of each dance season we will have a Spring Showcase for your dancer to participate in.
Our showcase is optional, but we highly recommended your participation, as this is a great
opportunity for you and your family to see your dancer onstage!
If your dancer will not be participating in the Showcase you must inform the instructor by
January 1st.
• A $75.00 Showcase fee is required to participate in the Annual Showcase and is non-refundable.
• This fee goes towards the rental of the venue, programs, bringing in videography, music editing,
lighting, staffing for the event, etc.
• The Showcase fee does NOT include costumes, Showcase tickets, DVDs of the show, other
Showcase related items; these are a separate cost.
• If your showcase fee and all other balances are not caught up 14 days prior to the Showcase your
dancer may not be allowed to perform in the show.
• You will not be refunded for any purchases, or payments made in the event of being removed from
the recital or emergencies within 14 days of the show unless otherwise stated by the Director.
• Our Showcase is tentatively scheduled for May 24th, 2025 but is subject to venue availability.
• We will have mandatory practices the entire week before the Showcase on a altered schedule.
Dancers might need to be present multiple days depending on the schedule.
Purchase of Costumes and Dance Related Items:
• Showcase costumes are required by anyone wanting to participate in the showcase, these can be
paid in installments (or in full if you wish) and generally run between $65-$95 per costume.
• Costumes will be handed out once invoices are paid up to date.
• If you fail to pay for your Showcase costume in time, it may not be ordered, causing it to not be
delivered on time, which may result in not being able to perform in the Showcase.
**Please note: additional shoes or accessories may be required depending on the costume choice.
• Throughout the year you will be able to order studio apparel, dance wear, and other items such as
showcase tickets, costumes, showcase DVDs, etc. If money is owed on your account you will not be
eligible to purchase any of these items until your account is caught up including late fees that
could have been added to your account.

• I understand that all money paid to the studio is NON-REFUNDABLE except under certain
circumstances. The Director makes all decisions regarding refunds and reserves the right to differ
from these rules should she deem fit.
