Tuition for classes is due the 1st of each month. Payments made after the 5th will incur a $10 Late Fee .
Enrollment, Tuition & Fees are based on a 10-month season, beginning in September and ending in June.
Monthly tuition is calculated as equal payments for lessons during the season, not the number of lessons in a month.
Tuition will remain the same each month regardless of classes attended, holiday closures, or canceled classes.
Tuition can be paid at the studio Via Cash, Check or Card, online in your parent portal, or through automatic ACH withdraw every month. To sign up for autopayments, please log into your portal and select this option.
For Payments already made or processed through ACH, there are norefunds. To drop classes or unenroll, you must contact the office in person, by phone, or by email.
There is a per dancer show fee for winter recital and for our Spring showcase. This is $25 for each show, the first one being due with October Tuition and the second one due with March Tuition. This fee is check or cash only.
Costume fees are per class, per dancer. Costumes are only purchased for the final showcase, and the pricing will be sent out in February. Families can expect between $50 - $90 each costume.
Student Policies, Behavior and Conduct
Absences:
There are no credits, deductions or refunds for missed classes. However, students are welcome and encouraged to make up their class in another class at the appropriate level. Please consult with Vanessa for available classes, and to schedule a makeup.
Lateness:
XDA Reserves the right to have students who arrive late to class sit out.
Level Placement:
Xcape Dance Academy places students in classes by ability and/ or age. Placement of students is determined by the Academy Director and the instructor of the class. If a level change is to be made, the staff will notify the student and family of the change. For questions, please contact Vanessa.
Class Attire:
Students are expected to adhere to the dress policies of XDA at all times.
• Hair should be securely off the face
• No jewelry
• Shoes worn on our dance floors must be dedicated to indoor use; no street shoes
Hip Hop:
Knit activewear. Dance pants, leggings, t-shirts, tank tops, sweats, sweatshirts, are OK. Shoes must be worn in class—sneakers, dance sneakers, and tennis shoes are acceptable. Flats, open-toed shoes, bare feet, or socks are not allowed.
Tap:
Tap shoes and dance attire. Loose, comfortable, lightweight clothing. Knit activewear. No jeans or long skirts
Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical:
Jazz shoes, booty shorts, spandex, jazz /yoga pants and form fitting clothing. Black or tan jazz shoes. Hair must be secured up, back, and off the face.
Creative Dance and Day Camps
Tap shoes, ballet shoes, dance outfit (leotard, tights, and optional short dance skirt)
Mommy and Me, Open Dance Days
Comfortable clothing and shoes, easy for moving. For dancing, hair must be secured up, back, and off the face.
Parent and Visitor Observation:
Parents and visitors are invited to attend and watch the last class of each month.
Conduct:
XDA thrives on POSITIVITY!Students, parents and families are to treat each other with respect. Love your studio, love your art, and love each other! Please pick up after yourselves in the studio, dressing rooms, and in the lobby. Help us keep our space clean and welcoming for everyone. No food, drink (except water) or gum are allowed in the studio.
Communication:
Communication with our families is so important! XDA sends newsletters and updates by email and these are posted on our website as well. Please keep us updated with your current email address so that we can keep you in the loop and be as green/paperless as possible!
Liability and Photo Waiver
I understand that there are risks of physical injury associated with, arising out of and inherent to
the activity of dance. In recognition of this acknowledged risk of injury, I knowingly and voluntarily
waive all right and/ or causes of action of any kind, including any and all claims of negligence
arising as a result of such activity from which liability could accrue to Xcape Dance Academy/Vanessa Martin, its
officers, agents, employees, instructors, subsidiaries, parent corporations, and all affiliated
entities (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Xcape Dance Academyâ€.
I hereby agree to release Xcape Dance Academy/Vanessa Fuller and hold Xcape Dance Academy /Vanessa Fuller harmless of all
liability, and hereby acknowledge that I knowingly and voluntarily assume full responsibility for all
risks of physical injury arising out of active participation in dance on behalf of the participant.
I am aware that this is a release of liability and an acknowledgement of my voluntary and knowing
assumption of the risk of injury. I have signed this document voluntarily and of my own free will in
exchange for the privilege of participation.
I also give Xcape Dance Academy permission to use my child’s picture in or on any form of
advertisement for Xcape Dance Academy or an Xcape Dance Academy affiliated event.
If I am a minor, my parent and / or legal guardian has also signed this document releasing Xcape Dance Academy from any and all such liability described above and has acknowledged that I am knowingly and voluntarily assuming all risks of injury inherent to this activity.
The participant has my permission to participate in Xcape Dance Academy Events. I warrant the
below information is complete and correct. I further release Xcape Dance Academy and Vanessa Fuller of all liabilities
associated with my child’s attendance at Xcape Dance Academy
