Rescheduling, Substitution, Cancellation, Online Format:
GDA reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher. GDA also reserves the right to reschedule, combine or cancel classes if they fall below 6 students.
GDA uses Google Classroom as an online learning platform. Each class will be assigned a class code to which you can use to set up your own Classroom on a device. If a student can’t make it to class, they can join class virtually. If a student misses a class, or would like to review what was taught, they can request the recorded class be posted to Google Classroom. Requested classes will be available to view for 2 weeks. In the event a class is unable to be held at the Academy, classes will convert to an online learning platform until in-studio classes can resume.
-No refunds on class tuition or credits on missed lessons.
-No refunds on Membership Fee.
-No refunds on Recital Packages, additional Costume Packages, classroom attire, or shoes.
-A tuition refund will be issued for a class that is canceled due to lack of enrollment and/or for lessons that are canceled without being rescheduled or providing a substitute.
Regular attendance is vital to student progress and group choreography. Please make every effort to attend each class. If a student misses more than two of the final eight classes before recital, they may be dismissed from participating in the recital routine at the discretion of the teacher.
Each level has an assigned class color. This helps instructors to quickly identify their students, allows teachers to assess how well the students are implementing the technique being taught, and for GDA staff to direct students and serve parents more effectively.
*Check the GDA website to view full Dress Code.
All Dancers should be covered from shoulders to under their knee, or lower.

-T-shirts, loose fitting tank tops, sweatshirts, jeggings, joggers, etc. are not allowed under any circumstance.
-Dancers that do not have appropriate dancewear attire will be made to sit out of class. A text or phone call will be made to the parent to inform them. Some students can’t help being disruptive to the learning environment, and some students choose to be disruptive. Understandably, it isn’t fair to their classmates striving to learn, or their paying parents, that the instructors’ attention is continually averted despite accommodations and incentives. If a student consistently demonstrates that they are either not ready for the unique learning environment of dance class, OR continues to choose to be disruptive or disrespectful, GDA will unenroll them for the season with no refunds.
