DANCE ATLANTIC & CO. CONTRACT 2024-25


NOTE: It is your sole responsibility to make sure you fully read and
understand all terms below, prior to signing this contract.


Tuition Payment & General Terms & Deadlines:

The terms of this Contract are to be interpreted as per student, not per contract. Thus, if multiple children are being enrolled pursuant to this document, multiply all applicable payments herein by the number of children being enrolled.
Tuition is NOT based on a single class or by the month. It is a YEARLY fee covering September to May.
Payment plans for tuition, payable to Dance Atlantic & Co. are as follows:
MONTHLY payments are due the 1st of each month, Sept.-May, with half month's tuition due in June. **YEARLY payment is due on or before the 4th week of class.
A late fee of $10.00 will be assessed to any payment not made by the by the 10th of each month.
There is a $25.00 charge for all returned checks.

Specific Tuition Terms:

A total of 30 sessions are billed. You will not be compensated for your child missing class due to illness or other circumstances. Payment is still required. For the 2024-25 season, 34 sessions are on the calendar. The overage of lessons will be used for classes that have to be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances or they will be used for extra practices.
NO REFUNDS will be made for students who do not complete classes.
The last day to add or drop a class, or drop out completely, is December 31, 2024. A written note must be provided when withdrawing from class. If you withdraw from class after December 31, 2024, you are still responsible for the remaining tuition and other fees for the rest of the dance season.
If class is canceled, your child can make class up at their convenience, but it is not mandatory and no refunds will be given for canceled classes, since you are given the opportunity to make class up.
All holidays and vacations have been accounted for when tuition is figured.
Students with outstanding accounts will not be permitted to class. **No student will be allowed to perform in the spring performance if tuition is delinquent, or if costumes have not been paid.
All students have a NON-REFUNDABLE $50.00 registration fee per student.
On November 15, 2024, a NON-REFUNDABLE costume deposit is due with the remaining NON-REFUNDABLE costume deposit being due on March 1, 2025.
All students will be enrolled in the annual performance for 2025, unless we are notified by December 1, 2024. If we are not notified by December 1, 2024, costumes will automatically be ordered for your child, and you will be responsible for the entire balance in full - whether your child performs in recital or not. This is the same for any student who drops out of class after December 1, moves out of town, is otherwise unavailable, etc.
There is a NON-REFUNDABLE $30.00 lighting and sound fee per student due February 1, 2025.
In the event we cannot have a recital or year-end performance, due to a circumstance outside the control of Dance Atlantic & Co., I agree that costume fees will NOT be refunded. Costumes cannot be returned to the supplying vendor. In the event of a natural disaster, pandemic, etc., I agree that tuition, other fees, costumes, etc., are my responsibility and payment will be made on time for the entire 2024-2025 dance season, regardless of whether my child chooses to participate in an alternative teaching method.


Student/Parent/Guardian Responsibilities:

Dance Atlantic & Co. can not assume responsibility for loss of personal property.
Whomever agrees to this contract is responsible for all expenses during the 2024-25 dance season, regardless of marital status changes, divorce decrees, etc. If the responsible party is delinquent on their account for over 60 days, it will be turned over to our attorney for collections. Court costs and attorney fees will be added to the responsible party's account, if turned over to our attorney.
Students are required to wear proper attire to all dance classes.
In the event of a natural disaster, pandemic, etc., and regular classes cannot be held as usual, an alternative method of teaching will take place. By signing this contract, I specifically and exclusively agree that an alternative teaching method, said method being at the exclusive option and discretion of Dance Atlantic & Co., is an acceptable and adequate alternative. I also agree that I am solely responsible for providing sufficient internet access to my child if online classes should be utilized by Dance Atlantic & Co. as a necessary alternative to in-person classes.

Hold Harmless/Indemnification Agreement & Photographic and/or Video Release:

In consideration of the benefits derived by client from the Dance Atlantic & Co. studio, I (we), my heirs and executors do agree that participation in same involves inherent risk, of which we, the parent/student, shall assume full responsibility. The undersigned agrees to indemnify and hold harmless, release and discharge Dance Atlantic & Co., its agent, servants, or employees, from any and all claims for personal injuries, physical illness (due to a pandemic or otherwise), or property damage occurring to or sustained by my (our) child while participating in the said dance and tumbling activity, or while in the act of being transported to and from any activity related to dance and tumbling and including any and all consequential damage claims which I (we) may be entitled to recover from said injury or property claim. I, also, hereby grant Dance Atlantic & Co. and its officials, employees, representatives, and successors the right to use my image (of the above listed minor individuals), likeness, or the sound of my voice, past or present, as recorded by audio, video or photographic means including altered or composite representations for use in presentations, advertising, publication or for any other lawful purpose. I understand that I will not be compensated for such recordings or use. I waive any right to inspect or approve the created or finished version(s).
I fully understand and expressly agree that I am assuming any and all risk and fully indemnify and hold harmless Dance Atlantic & Co., and any of its agents, from liability relating to the contraction of any contagious viral illness (including but not limited to the COVID-19 pandemic), or any other communicable disease.
I have read and understand all of the above contract and the hold harmless/indemnification agreement and photo/video release.

Please read over and digitally sign this document at time of registration. If you don't digitally sign the contract, by registering your child for class, you are accepting it's terms.

I understand the terms, conditions, and fees outlined in the Dance Atlantic Handbook. Whomever signs this contract is responsible for all expenses during the current dance season, regardless of marital status changes, divorce decrees, etc. If the responsible party is delinquent on their account for over 60 days, it will be turned over to my attorney for collections. Court costs and attorney fees will then be added to the responsible party's account. I understand students participating in classes at Dance Atlantic are subject to rigorous activity and exercise, and students may encounter physical contact with instructors or other staff, and possibly other students. Due to the nature of these activities, injuries may occur. I hereby release Dance Atlantic and all it's instructors and staff of any liability due an injury obtained from participation in any classes or events held at Dance Atlantic. I am fully aware of the personal medical conditions of the student and hereby certify that he/she is physically capable to participate in the classes or events for which they are registered for or attending.
