Studio Policies
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY
Tuition:
Tuition is charged monthly and expected to be paid by the 5th of the month. An annual registration fee is due upon registration to the season. We require a card on file for all accounts, and autopay will be processed on the 6th of the month for any outstanding balances, or the very next working day. We do not charge extra for 5 week months and full payment is due for 3 week/holiday months.
Our tuition structure operates from September through June, encompassing the dance season. Please note that monthly tuition fees are not prorated for missed classes or studio holiday closures. However, we strongly encourage dancers to make up any missed classes within the appropriate age group. Make-up classes provide valuable opportunities for students to catch up on any missed instruction. Any unused makeups must be used by the end of the dance season, or when a student unenrolls.
To ensure a smooth payment process, tuition is charged on the 1st day of every month, and any outstanding balances will be charged via auto pay with required credit card on file. If your dancer participates in the recital, full tuition for the month of June is due. We understand that some classes may not be received due to various circumstances, and we encourage dancers to make up for these missed classes to gain extra practice time and reinforce their training.
If you wish to withdraw your child from a class, kindly inform us via email or by visiting our front desk before the first of the month. This notification is crucial to prevent any unnecessary charges. Please note that having your child inform their teacher is not considered sufficient notice for withdrawal.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding our tuition policies, as they allow us to provide the best possible dance education and maintain the operational efficiency of our studio. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Attendance:
Attendance in all classes is very important in dance, providing consistency and
continuous improvement throughout the season. Arriving 5-10 minutes before class is
encouraged as well as prompt pick-up after classes. If a student chooses to unenroll,
a two week notice is requested. Tuition reserves your dancer's spot in the class, so
unenrolling forfeits their spot. A new registration fee will be required to re enroll.
Absences & Make Up Classes:
Please go into your parent portal to mark your dancer absent when they miss class.
When a student misses class, they are able to do a make-up class within their age
range and level, pending availability. The class does not have to be in the same style
of dance. Any unused makeups are forfeited at the end of the season, or when a
student un-enrolls. Please let us know before attending a make-up class.
Trial Classes:
New trial class policy: Any currently enrolled dancer may trial a new class for $10.00. Free trials are for new students/families only with a maximum of two free trials. Each additional trial will be $10 each. The exception will be Serendipity Rush Week that will be held one week a year and free trial classes will be specified ahead of time.
Studio Atmosphere:
Serendipity Dance Co strives to provide a positive environment for all faculty,
dancers, and parents. Negative, disrespectful, and rude behavior will NOT be
tolerated. Please help us create an encouraging environment for our dancers to grow
and prosper. Furthermore, we aim to provide a focused and structured class regimen
and ask that parents take advantage of the viewing windows so the dancers can fully
concentrate in class. We do not allow parents to observe inside the studios.
Studio Cleanliness & Appearance:
Students and parents are responsible for picking up after themselves (food,
beverages, trash, etc.) and all personal belongings in the lobby and dressing rooms.
Only water is allowed within the studios. If you have misplaced or lost an item,
please ask the front desk or email us.
Student Code of Conduct:
Serendipity Dance Co aims to train successful dancers as well as polite and
responsible, compassionate humans. Therefore, students are held to a high standard
of respectfulness at all times. Implementing this code of conduct is crucial for the
student to flourish and improve in all aspects of dance and life.
Annual Recital:
Serendipity Dance Co holds an annual recital in June. Dates for recital will be released
as soon as possible. Finding a venue is always a huge challenge! All students are
encouraged to participate in recital, but participation is not mandatory. Recital costs
include: costumes and recital tickets. Students keep their purchased costumes. Please
let us know if your dancer is NOT planning on being in the recital as soon as possible.
Miscellaneous:
– Serendipity Dance Co is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
– Serendipity Dance Co reserves the right to refuse service to a parent or dancer if
inappropriate behavior occurs or for lack of payment of tuition.
