Registration and Tuition Policy
Annual Registration Fee of $40.00 is due at the time of registration. Tuition must be paid by automatic bank account debit or automatic credit card payment. Tuition will be debited from your bank account or charged to your credit card on the 15th day of each month from September-May. The month of September is non-refundable. Credit card or bank debit payments are not accepted for in-person payment on a monthly basis. Payment must be made by pre-authorized automatic monthly payment. All charges will appear on your bank statement or credit card statement as being from Bowman Dance Company & School. I hereby authorize the school to electronically debit my bank account or credit card for the amount of any NSF paper cheque or auto-debit transactions plus a $30 NSF fee. Tuition is paid in ten equal installments throughout the year. Tuition will not be prorated for Holidays, Breaks or Inclement Weather. Costume fees for the year-end production will be charged to your auto-debit or auto-credit card charge on November 30. No costume fees will be refunded after this date even if a student withdraws from the school. Recital Fees will be charged to your auto-debit or auto-credit card charge on April 15. No recital fees will be refunded after this date even if a student withdraws from the school.
While BDCS does not refund the Yearly Registration Fee or classes that have already occurred, we will gladly refund tuition for classes that have not occurred. Please note that any discounts received are provided for the completion of the dance season. If you choose to leave the program before the end of the season, discounts are deducted from the refund. All dancewear and apparel sales are final, however an account credit may be given, or exchanges may be made at the discretion of BDCS. All Costume and recital ticket sales are final and no refunds will be given for costume sales.
There is a two-month minimum for all lessons. One-month notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue any classes. Withdrawal must be done in person and will not be accepted over the phone. Withdrawal must be done at the school office and not with the teacher. Withdrawal must occur within the first 7 days of the month. No withdrawals will be accepted after April 1. To withdraw from classes a parent or adult student must: Inform school administration in person, and Complete and sign a withdrawal form provided by the school office.
Assumption of Risk
I understand and agree that in participating in any dance class, workshop, rehearsal or performance, there is a possibility of physical injury or death. I voluntarily agree, therefore, to assume all risks and responsibility for any such injury or accident, which might occur to me or my child during any of Bowman Dance Company & School classes, rehearsal, performances, or activities.
Release of Liability
I exempt, release, and indemnify Bowman Dance Company & School, its owners, agents, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest artists, faculty members, independent contractors, and/or students from any and all liability claims, demands, or causes of action whatsoever from any damage, loss, injury, or death to me, my children, or property which may arise out of or in connection with participation in any classes or activities conducted by Bowman Dance Company & School. I further hereby voluntarily agree to waive my rights and that of my heirs and assigns to hold Bowman Dance Company & School, its owners, agents, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest artists, faculty members, independent contractors, and/or students liable for such damage, loss, injury, or death. I understand that I should be aware of my physical limitation and agree not to exceed them. If I am signing this waiver for my children, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and have the right to waive these rights.
Permission is granted for Bowman Dance Company & School to use photographs of students for publicity purposes.
