I give my students permission to participate in activities at The Dance Alliance (TDA).
I have read, understand and agree to all of the waivers, policies and conditions of this contract.
Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each class. Students missing more than 4 classes after February may not be allowed to participate in the year end showcase at the discretion of the Director. Costume fees will remain non-refundable. The studio should be contacted to be made aware of absences.
Placement of students in classes is at the sole discretion of the TDA's Artistic Director. TDA reserves the right to limit class sizes and to cancel or change class times based on availability, enrolment or at the studio director’s discretion. Alternatively, TDA reserves the right to shorten classes that are semi-private.
There is a $60.00 non-refundable costume deposit for each class a student is enrolled in.
The costume deposit may or may not cover the entire cost of the costume. Where the cost exceeds the deposit families will be billed for the amount owing.
All regular season classes participate in our year end showcase. Tickets are required to watch our year end showcase.
Proper dance attire is required for each class. Uniform information is available on the TDA website and at the studio. Dancers must abide by TDA’s dress code in order to participate in classes. Those not dressed in uniform may be asked to change or sit out. Repeated failure to wear required dancewear could result in termination of classes.
All students enrolled at TDA agree to abide by all studio policies set forth by the school. Failure to comply with rules and regulations could result in dismissal from TDA. TDA reserves the right to refuse admittance to any student at their sole discretion.
TDA must be provided with any changes to your credit card information (i.e., new card, change in expiry date, etc.) at least 5 days prior to the next payment date or a $25.00 fee will be applied.
A fee of $25 will be applied to all NSF payments.
It is understood that dance is a physical activity and therefore poses a possible risk of injury. Parents and students agree to hold harmless TDA, its principles, representatives, and employees from any and all injuries sustained while participating in any TDA activities in the studio or during events held outside the studio.
It is understood that by enrolling students in TDA programs you are certifying that each student is in good physical and mental health and are capable of participating.
TDA is not responsible for the loss of money or personal property of members or guests, however caused.
TDA may cancel classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control. Refunds will not be given for classes missed due to these reasons. Missed classes may not be deducted from tuition payments. Make-up classes are not available.
ABSOLUTELY NO OUTDOOR FOOTWEAR is allowed in any area of the premises, other than on the front door mat. Outdoor shoes are not allowed in the dance studios for any classes.
The sidewalk and parking lot outside the studio are not clean. Shoes, socks, or bare feet that walk on the sidewalk or parking lot should not walk in any area of the premises.
It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to be aware of all studio activities (dates and events) such as photo days, showcase dates and times, rehearsals, extra classes, and dates that the studio is open or closed. TDA will post all such notices in the studio, on the website portal, as well as email out the information. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to regularly check these areas to ensure they are informed.
It is also the responsibility of the parent/guardian to inform the studio of any address, phone number or email changes.
Consent is granted to the students being photographed and or videotaped in studio or at performances by photographers assigned by TDA. These photos may be used for various promotional purposes including TDA's Facebook, Instagram, and other social media accounts.
It is understood no photography or videography will be permitted by anyone other than teachers or those designated by TDA at the studio or during performances outside of the studio.
It is understood that the teachers may need to have physical contact with students in order to provide technical direction and correction. Consent is granted for such physical contact.
TDA limits collection of personal information to that which is necessary to provide you with dance instruction and related services. We restrict access to your personal information to only those who must use the information to provide services to you. We do not sell, rent or share customer's personal information to third parties.
In order for TDA to keep accurate, complete and up-to-date personal information we ask that you to contact us with any changes that may occur to your personal information throughout the year.
TDA will email, text, and/or phone you directly with information related to our dance school at regular intervals throughout the year.
In a situation where a student has to discontinue classes, payment must be made up to the end of the term of which they stopped. A request to discontinue must be given in writing. Non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal from TDA.
Term 1: September, October, November Term 2: December, January, February Term 3: March, April, May, June
TDA reserves the right to cancel or change class times based on availability, enrolment or studio director’s discretion. If a class does not run due to low enrolment a full refund will be issued.
Cancellation requests received more than 5 business days before start of the camp will receive a refund less $25.00. Any refund requests received less than 5 business days prior to the affected camp session or during a camp session will not qualify for a refund.
There is a non-refundable registration fee of $25.00 per family.
There are no registration fees for Adult Classes, Camps, Parent n' Tot classes and Workshops.
TDA will be closed on the following dates:
• Thanksgiving Day - October 14, 2019
• Halloween - October 31, 2019
• Winter Break - December 22, 2020 - January 5, 2020
• Family Day - February 17, 2020
• March Break - March 15, 2020 - March 22, 2020
• Good Friday - April 10, 2020
• Easter Monday - April 13, 2020
• Victoria Day - May 18, 2020
Regular Season Class Pricing:
60 minute class - $624.00 plus HST
45-minute class - $534.00 plus HST
30-minute classes - $456.00 plus HST
There are discounts for all additional classes registered for per family after the first class. The classes with the highest tuition will be considered the first class, second class, third class, etc.
