EXPECTATIONS
ATTENDANCE
Attendance on a regular basis is necessary to increase skill development. Good attendance is key to both individual and class progress. Absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. Notify the studio in advance if you plan to miss a class.
ABSENCES
Absences are to be kept to a minimum. Excessive absences may lead to dismissal from the class at the discretion of the teacher and the Dreams In Motion Director.
STUDIO EXPECTATIONS
All food and drink, with the exception of water, must remain in the lobby area only. To keep lobby privileges, dancers and parents must clean up after themselves. Throw away all trash and unwanted belongings before leaving for the evening. Help keep our studio clean. No running or horseplay anywhere in the building. No street shoes or food/drink of any kind on the dance floors.
Young children may not be left unattended in waiting areas. Students can be dropped off early but no more than fifteen minutes before a class and must be picked up at least fifteen minutes after a class. Do not use Dreams In Motion as a baby-sitting service. We will approve special circumstances; however, arrangements need to be made in advance with Miranda or Office Manager. Dreams In Motion is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
STUDENT EXPECTATIONS
Dancers should come to class in proper attire and with appropriate shoes (see Dress Code). Dancers should arrive a least 10 minutes prior to scheduled class to warm up. Come into class ready for a brief warm up/conditioning and be ready to get started! Listen and be respectful to the ENTIRE Dreams In Motion staff. Respect the property of Dreams In Motion, as well as other dancers. Throw away all trash and pick up belongings. Make it a priority to arrive on time. To progress quickly, students need to practice at home on a regular basis. No gum/candy/ food allowed inside a studio. All food and drink, with the exception of water, must remain in the lobby.
PARENT EXPECTATIONS
Please make it a weekly priority to check our Facebook and white board in the main lobby. Both will be updated daily with new information regarding classes, tuition, newsletters, studio closings, important dates and special classes/workshops offered. Be sure to inform your child's instructor of any injuries, allergies or special needs that may require extra attention. Notify the front desk of any changes to your name, address, e-mail or phone number. Parents are not allowed to open the classroom door. If you need to speak with your child, please let the front office know and they will notify the teacher. After your child is contacted through the teacher, they will come to meet you in the main lobby.
GENERAL INFO
PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE
Dreams In Motion uses photographs and videos of students for promotional purposes. We use pictures in brochures, on our website, posters/prints within our business, posters/prints at events, newspaper advertisements, as well as other materials our school may create. We also put together professional videos using classroom/performance footage of our students that may be displayed on our website, YouTube and/or Facebook. Please be sure to sign the photo/video release when you register.
CLASS CANCELLATIONS DUE TO BAD WEATHER
Dreams In Motion will only cancel classes for weather is the roads have been closed. In which case the specialty classes (i.e. solos, duets, trios) will be made up at a scheduled date with that teacher. All other classes will not. If the conditions in your area are unsafe to travel please call, text or email the studio and notify the front office.

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
Dreams In Motion has a Zero Tolerance Policy. This includes use of any illegal drugs, alcohol, and/or tobacco products by any of the dancers on and off studio property. Failure to comply with this policy will result in immediate and permanent dismissal from the studio. This policy also includes zero tolerance for bullying and vandalism. Either of these could result in immediate and permanent
REFUSAL POLICY
Dreams In Motion reserves the right to refuse admission to any persons known to be involved in any type of behavior that would be in violation of our Zero Tolerance Policy. We will keep a safe friendly environment for our dancers to grow.
REFUND POLICY
No refunds or adjustments will be made for class absences. If a dancer stops attending classes, the guardian is still held responsible for any expenses incurred on the dancers’ behalf.
PROPER CLASS ATTIRE
Proper attire is required for all classes. This includes the dancewear listed below and the appropriate shoes. Failure to comply with these rules will result in dismissal from class. If a member is dismissed from class more than twice, they will be removed from the program.

Girls: When trying classes…
Any style sports bra or fitted tank & booty shorts
Tights are not required
Pink, tan, or black split sole ballet shoes
Hair: Secured bun or ponytail
Official Attire…
Leotard in any color
Tights
Pink, tan, or black split sole ballet shoes
Hair: Secured bun
Boys: Black, white, or gray fitted tank or fitted shirt – no t-shirts
Black shorts – must be above the knee
Black ballet shoes
ALL OTHER CLASSES
Girls: Any color/style leotard or sports bra or fitted tank
Form Fitting Dance shorts – No basketball shorts (soffee shorts are acceptable)
Tights (optional)
Proper dance shoes for each class
(NO BALLET SHOES/SOCKS FOR JAZZ OR LEAPS & TURNS)
No jewelry/watches
Hair: Secured ponytail or bun
Boys: Any color fitted tank, fitted shirt, or appropriate t-shirt (no baggy or loose shirts)
Any color shorts (must be above the knee)
Proper dance shoes for each class
No additional changing time will be allowed between classes. Students late to class due to changing clothes, changing hairstyle, socializing, or eating will not be admitted to class and parents will be notified.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
TUITION – MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO ‘DREAMS IN MOTION’
Tuition is due on the first of each month and is considered late if received after. A late fee of $25 will be assessed if not paid on time. Please note: all specialties/classes will be suspended on the 7th until tuition is current. In the event of suspension, you are still billed for that time.
Tuition is payable in cash, checks payable to Dreams In Motion, or by Visa or MasterCard. CHECKS RETURNED BY YOUR BANK TO DREAMS IN MOTION FOR ANY REASON WILL INCUR A $37 RETURNED CHECK FEE AND FUTURE PAYMENTS MAY BE REQUIRED IN CASH OR BY MONEY ORDER.
No student will be allowed to have a private lesson unless their account is up-to-date. NO EXCEPTIONS.
