D.U. of Central Florida’s 2024-25 Policies and Waiver
1. Tuition is due by the first of every month and is considered late by the 11th of the month. I understand that I will be charged a $15 late fee if my tuition is paid or postmarked any time after the 10th. The $50 registration fee is an annual fee, is non-refundable and is separate from my monthly tuition.
2. I am responsible for my child's tuition regardless of my child's attendance. I will formally (written notice) inform D.U. if I decide to discontinue classes.
3. There will be NO refunds or credits for classes missed by the student or classes that fall on a holiday.
4. I understand that extra miscellaneous items like a studio shirt, parade costumes/uniforms and spring recital costumes/uniforms will AUTOMATICALLY be billed to my account and that I am SOLEY RESPONSIBLE to let DU know via Google form or email by the assigned date if I do NOT want my child to participate. After that date my credit card on file will be charged and refunds will not be made if I failed to inform DU in writing that I did not want my child to participate.
5. I understand that once my costumes are ordered they are non-refundable and that my account will automatically be charged a recital package fee (recital shirt, performance tights, a recital program book and a recording of the show).
6. My child may be refused admittance to class if tuition is not paid by the 10th of the month or if he/she is not dressed appropriately.
7. All recordings including but not limited to video, audio, still pictures, motion pictures of any event, remain the property of D.U. with all rights retained by the studio. I am aware that my child’s picture can also be used for marketing on social media unless I make D.U. aware by written notice.
8. My child will be expected to attend ALL rehearsals for D.U.'s 2024-25 parades and recitals. Failure to attend could default my child's opportunity to participate.
My child/children has my consent to participate in any of the above activities or those set forth in the policies and procedures of Dance Unlimited of Highlands County, Inc. I understand that he/she must abide by the rules set forth by the teachers and staff of Dance Unlimited of Highlands County, Inc. I will receive a copy of the handbook which has the policies and procedures that have been set forth by Dance Unlimited of Highlands County, Inc. and understand that a violation of these rules may lead to temporary or permanent suspension of my child from class. I understand and give consent for my child to ride in an automobile with any member of the Dance Unlimited of Highlands County, Inc. staff or other parents when it is necessary for a performance or something of that nature. I understand that by the very nature of the activity, dance (ballet, tap, jazz, hiphop, pointe, lyrical, clogging), tumbling (acro) and cheerleading carry a risk of physical injury no matter how careful the participant and the instructor are. The risk also includes catastrophic injuries such as permanent paralysis or even death. I agree to, and by the signing of this agreement, release the owner, instructors and all staff members of Dance Unlimited from any claim of negligence by myself, my child/children, my heirs, executors and assignees, from any liability arising from claims for damages from injury to my child/children and any claims for loss of or damage to his/her property which may arise out of his/her participation in Dance Unlimited's dance and cheer program for the 2024-25 season.
