IMAGE CONSENT:
I grant Class Act Studios permission to capture and use photographs, videos, and recordings of my dependent for the purpose of documenting the studio's activities. These images may be used for educational and promotional endeavors. Should I wish to opt out, I will inform Class Act Studios in writing.

MEDICAL EMERGENCY:
In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I grant Class Act Studios the authority to make necessary decisions to transport either myself or my dependent to a medical treatment facility as required. All associated costs of such transportation and medical treatment will be borne by me. In urgent situations, especially if my child is under 18, Class Act Studios will strive to contact my listed emergency contacts. If none can be reached, I give my consent for emergency medical treatment as prescribed by a licensed medical or dental professional to preserve life or well-being.

RISK ACKNOWLEDGMENT:
I understand that dance and related activities carry inherent risks. By allowing my dependent to participate in Class Act Studios' activities, I assume all risks associated with the performing arts. I recognize the significance of adhering to the instructor's guidance and rules. Consequently, I release Class Act Studios, its employees, and affiliates from any liability arising from my dependent's involvement at the studio.

LIABILITY RELEASE & INDEMNITY AGREEMENT:
I, for myself and my successors, waive all claims and forever release Class Act Studios, its representatives, agents, and all associated entities from any losses, costs, or damages, including those due to personal injury or property damage, arising from participation in dance or related activities. This holds even if the cause is negligence, contract breach, or any other fault of Class Act Studios or its affiliates. I pledge not to initiate legal action against any mentioned entities for any waived or released claims. I also indemnify Class Act Studios against all losses or claims arising from my actions during my association with the studio. This agreement will be interpreted following the laws of Saskatchewan.

1. REGISTRATION POLICY

Welcome to Class Act Studios! Our registration policy is designed to provide clarity and simplicity for our families as they embark on their journey with us. Below, youâ€™ll find detailed information on fees, payment methods, and other essential aspects of our registration process.

REGISTRATION POLICY ~ PERFORMANCE SEASON

Definition:
Performance Season encompasses our Ignite, Inspire, Challenge, and Motivate programs only and does not apply to classes in our Explore Program (Sessional Classes) or Summer Camps, which have their policies.

Registration Fee:
A non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 (plus taxes) is required at the time of enrollment. This fee is due annually for each student and secures their place in our classes.

Tuition Fees:
Tuition Fees are due on the 1st of each month from September to June. Tuition fees for classes in our Performance Season are calculated annually, based on the total number of classes offered from September through June. This calculation takes into account scheduled closures for holidays and any planned Studio breaks, ensuring that families only pay for the instruction time provided.

Costume Fees:
Costume Fees apply to all classes in our Performance Season and are due per student, per class.
The Costume Fee is $150-$170 (including GST and PST) depending on the program classes.
Costume Fees are divided into equal instalments, payable from September to April.
Costume Fees cover the purchase (or rental) of costuming for our competitions (if applicable) and Year-End Performances in June.
Costume Fees do not include tights, shoes, accessories (earrings, hairpieces, etc.), or regular class attire (bodysuits, skirts, etc.).
All Costume Fees are non-refundable. (please see our Cancellation Policy section for details on Costume Fees)

Recital Fees:
Recital Fees apply to all classes in our Performance Season and are due per student, per class.
Recital Fees contribute to the venue rental, theatre technicians, lighting, sound, props and sets, transportation, and other logistical needs essential for the production of our Year-End Recitals.
Recital Fees are determined based on the style of dance: Dancers in ballet classes participate in our Ballet Performance while dancers in all other styles of dance, acro, and musical theatre will participate in our Showcase Performances.
The Recital Fee is $80 per class, per student, per student.
Recital Fees are divided into equal instalments due on the 1st of each month from September to April.
Recital Fees do not include photos, videos, or tickets.
All Recital Fees are non-refundable. (please see our Cancellation Policy section for details on Recital Fees)

Competition Entries (Challenge Program Only):
Competition Entry Fees cover the cost of entering each dancer into competitions and apply to all competitive classes.
The fee amount varies depending on the competition but is approximately $220-280 per group, $265-$280 per duo or trio, and $330-$440 per solo.
The cost of Competition Entry Fees will be included in your childâ€™s Class Recommendations using an estimation of the competition entry fees available by the time when Class Recommendations are made.
Competition Entries are divided into equal instalments due on the 1st of each month from July to April. Any adjustments, if applicable, will be communicated to families in October and fees will be adjusted for the remainder of the season (November to April).
All Competition Entry Fees are non-refundable. (please see our Cancellation Policy section for details on Competition Entry fees).

Choreography Fees (Challenge Program Only):
Choreography Fees apply only to solos, duos, trios, and extra group routines only. The amount varies based on the type of routine (solo, duo, trio, or extra group).
Participation in solos, duos, trios, and extra groups is invitational only and will be included in your child's Class Recommendations.
Choreography Fees are divided into equal payments due on the 1st of each month from July to April.
Choreography Fees are non-refundable. (please see our Cancellation Policy section for details on Choreography Fees).

Examination Fees (Challenge Program Only):
Examination Fees apply to ballet, jazz, and tap classes in our Challenge Program and cover the cost of examination entry, examiner food, travel and accommodations, Studio time, mock exams, and tuition for classes held during our Examination Intensive Week.
These fees are approximately $250-$450, depending on the style and level of examination. The cost of Examination Fees will be included in your childâ€™s Class Recommendations using an estimation of the examination entry fees available at the time of when Class Recommendations are made.
Examination Fees are divided into equal installments due on the 1st of each month from July to April. Any adjustments, if applicable, will be communicated to families in October and fees will be adjusted for the remainder of the season (November to April).

REGISTRATION POLICY ~ SESSIONAL PROGRAM

Definition:
The Explore Program at Class Act Studios offers short-term, session-based classes that provide an introduction to dance or an opportunity to explore a new dance style without the commitment to our full Performance Season. This program is designed for students of all ages looking for flexibility and a focused learning experience. Unlike our Performance Season, the Explore Program does not participate in Year-End Performances.

Initial Registration Fee:
A one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 (plus GST) is required upon enrolling in the first session a family participates in during the season.
This fee secures the studentâ€™s place in the desired session and covers administrative costs associated with their enrolment.

Consecutive Session Enrolment:
Families who continue enrolment from one session to the next consecutive session (e.g., Fall to Winter, Winter to Spring) are not required to pay an additional registration fee for the subsequent session. This policy is designed to encourage continued engagement with our Explore Program by reducing the cost barrier for families choosing to enrol in multiple sessions.

Non-Consecutive Session Enrolment:
If a family chooses to skip a session (e.g., enrols in the Fall Session, skips the Winter Session, and returns for the Spring Session), the registration fee will be reapplied for the new session of re-enrolment. This fee is necessary to cover the reintegration costs and administrative support required for their return.

Transition to Performance Season:
Should a family decide to transition from a session in the Explore Program to a class in our Performance Season immediately following their session, the registration fee paid for the Explore Program will be honoured. No additional registration fee will be required for the transition into the Performance Season within the same dance year.

Tuition Fees:
Tuition Fees for the Explore Program are due in full at the time of registration.
The total fee is determined by the length and type of session, with all sessions designed to offer a complete and enriching dance experience.
These fees reflect the sessionâ€™s total instruction time, taking into account the focused nature of the program.

2. CANCELLATION POLICY

CANCELLATION POLICY ~ PERFORMANCE SEASON

Class Act Studios, we understand that changes in circumstances can occur, necessitating the cancellation of enrollment in our Performance Season which encompasses classes in our Ignite, Inspire, Challenge and Motivate programs. To ensure clarity and fairness in the process, we outline the following cancellation policy:

Cancellation Procedure:
â†’ Formal Notice Required: Cancellations must be formally submitted via the Class Act Studios Cancellation Form. Please note that continuous absence from classes is not recognized as an official cancellation.
â†’ Cancellation Form: The Cancellation Form is the only accepted method for initiating a cancellation to ensure proper documentation and processing.

Cancellation Timelines for Tuitions:
â†’ By the 5th of the Month: For cancellations received by the 5th of the month, students will not be charged for the subsequent month, allowing for immediate cessation of billing. For example, if a cancellation is received by November 5th, the student will not be charged for December tuition.
â†’ After the 5th of the Month: Cancellations received after the 5th will result in the student being charged for the subsequent month, recognizing the studioâ€™s commitment to program resources and staffing. For example, if a cancellation is received on November 6th, the student will be charged for December tuition.
â†’ March 1st Deadline: No cancellations will be accepted from March 1st. Beyond this date, tuition and all related fees are due in full until the end of the Performance Season.

Cancellation Timelines for Costume Fees:
â†’ By November 30th: For cancellations received by November 30th, costume fees are non-refundable, and the costume becomes the property of Class Act Studios.
â†’ December 1st: For cancellations received on December 1st and onwards, the full balance of the costume fee is due at the time of cancellation. Costumes will be ordered and available for pick-up from May 1st to May 31st. Any uncollected costumes become the property of Class Act Studios after May 31st.

Cancellation Timelines for Recital Fees:
â†’ By November 30th: For cancellations received by November 30th, recital fees are non-refundable.
â†’ December 1st: For cancellations received on December 1st and onwards, the full balance of the recital fee is due at the time of cancellation.

Cancellation Timelines for Competition, Choreography, and Examination Fees (Challenge Program Only):
â†’ These fees are non-refundable and due in full at the time of cancellation, regardless of the time of the season.
â†’ Itâ€™s important for families to understand that a formal cancellation through the designated form is necessary for administrative and planning purposes. Stopping attendance and discontinuing fee payments without submitting the Cancellation Form does not constitute an official cancellation. This policy helps us manage class sizes, instructor schedules, and resources efficiently, ensuring the best possible experience for all students.

Cancellation Timelines and Refunds:

Cancellation Timelines for Tuitions:
â†’ 7-Day Cancellation Window: Families have a period of up to 7 days from the date of registration to cancel and qualify for a refund, minus the non-refundable registration fee. This window is designed to give families the flexibility to reconsider their commitment in the immediate aftermath of registration.
â†’ After the 7-Day Window: No refunds will be provided for cancellations made after the 7-day window has passed, including any cancellations made within 7 days of the session's start date. This policy reflects the need to finalize class sizes and instructor assignments based on confirmed enrollments.
â†’ Limitation on Refunds: Importantly, if the 7-day cancellation window overlaps with the period less than 7 days before the session's start date, no refunds will be available. This ensures that Class Act Studios can effectively plan and allocate resources, honouring commitments to instructors and enrolled students.

By establishing clear and fair cancellation policies for both our Performance Season and Explore Program, Class Act Studios aims to provide transparency and understanding for all families. These policies are designed to respect the commitments of both our studio and our families, ensuring that we can offer high-quality dance education in a supportive and structured environment.

3. PAYMENTS POLICY

POLICY ON PAYMENT, LATE FEES, AND DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS

At Class Act Studios, we are committed to providing exceptional dance education and experiences. To ensure the sustainability of our program and respect the commitment of our families, we have established clear policies regarding payment timelines, handling of late fees, management of delinquent accounts, and our right to refuse service.

Late Fees:
â†’ Payment Due Dates: All tuition and fees are due on the 1st of each month. A grace period of 3 days is provided to accommodate minor delays.
â†’ Late Fee Assessment: A 5% late fee will be applied to outstanding balances on the 5th of the month. This fee is necessary to cover the additional administrative costs incurred by late payments.

Delinquent Accounts:
â†’ Notification: Families will be notified via SMS of any outstanding balance on the 3rd of the month, requesting payment of the balance before the late fee is applied to the account. Families with accounts that remain unpaid beyond 30 days will receive a written notification via email, outlining the overdue balance and requesting immediate settlement.
â†’ Service Suspension: If the account remains delinquent for more than 45 days, Class Act Studios reserves the right to suspend services, including class participation, until the account is brought current. This measure is a last resort and is taken to ensure fairness to all our studio families and the operational viability of our program.
â†’ Payment Plans: We understand that financial situations can vary, and we are committed to working with families facing genuine hardships. In such cases, we encourage open communication to discuss the possibility of arranging a payment plan.

Right to Refuse Service:
â†’ Policy Enforcement: Class Act Studios reserves the right to refuse enrollment or continuation of services for any party with a history of delinquent accounts or non-compliance with our financial policies. This decision is made with careful consideration and is aimed at preserving the quality and accessibility of our programs for all students.
â†’ Re-Enrollment: Individuals with previously delinquent accounts who wish to re-enroll must settle any outstanding balances before re-enrollment can be considered. A meeting with studio management may also be required to discuss the circumstances of the previous delinquency and to outline expectations for future compliance with studio policies.

Our policies on Late Fees, Delinquent Accounts, and the Right to Refuse Service are designed to foster a culture of mutual respect and financial responsibility. By adhering to these policies, families help Class Act Studios maintain its commitment to providing top-quality dance education in a financially sustainable and respectful environment.

All families are required to acknowledge and agree to these policies upon registration. This ensures that expectations are clear from the outset, supporting a positive and productive relationship between families and the studio.

â†’ Fees: Pay all tuition and associated fees by the due dates.
â†’ Respect: Show respect to all staff, students, and studio property.
â†’ Observation: Observe classes only during designated times to minimize disruptions.
â†’ Volunteering: Participate in studio events and performances as opportunities arise.

Additional Rules for Competitive/Examination Students:
â†’ Commitment: Demonstrate a higher level of commitment to training, rehearsals, and practice.
â†’ Competitions/Exams: Participate in all designated competitions and examinations.
â†’ Additional Fees: Understand and meet financial commitments for costumes, competition entries, choreography, and examination fees on time.
â†’ Teamwork: Work cooperatively with peers and instructors, supporting a positive team environment.
â†’ Professional Conduct: Maintain professionalism at competitions, examinations, and public performances, including on social media.
â†’ Health and Wellness: Prioritize physical and mental health to sustain intensive training periods.
â†’ Feedback and Improvement: Actively seek and constructively respond to feedback from instructors.

For Families in Our Sessional Programs:
â†’ Registration and Payment: Complete registration promptly and pay tuition fees in full before the session begins.
â†’ Attendance: Encourage regular attendance to maximize the benefits of the short-term program.
â†’ Preparation: Ensure your child is prepared for each class, wearing appropriate attire and bringing necessary equipment.
â†’ Respect: Foster an environment of respect towards instructors and fellow students.
â†’ Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with the studio for any concerns or questions regarding the session.
â†’ Cancellation: Understand and adhere to the studioâ€™s cancellation policy for sessional classes.
â†’ Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to help us improve the sessional program experience.

For Families in All Programs:
â†’ Personal Belongings: Students and families are responsible for their personal belongings. The Studio is not responsible for any stolen or lost items.
â†’ Facility Use: Treat Studio premises with care. Food, gum, and beverages (other than water) are not allowed in the dance studios.
â†’ Social Media: Share studio-related activities or images on social media positively and respectfully.
â†’ Bullying and Harassment: We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, or any form of discrimination. Such behaviour will result in immediate disciplinary action, which may include dismissal from the Studio.
â†’ Inclusion and Diversity: We are committed to creating an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates diversity in all forms.
â†’ Emergency Procedures: Familiarize yourself with and adhere to the Studio's emergency procedures to ensure everyone's safety.
â†’ Parental Involvement: Parents of younger students are expected to remain available during class times and assist with their child's preparation and timely arrival/departure, as well as any necessary bathroom breaks.
â†’ Confidentiality: Respect the confidentiality of all personal information encountered within the Studio community.
â†’ Property Care: Treat all studio property, including borrowed or rented items, with care and report any damages immediately.
â†’ Health Disclosure: Promptly disclose any health issues that may affect participation, allowing us to make necessary accommodations.
â†’ Providing Feedback: We welcome your feedback and suggestions for improvement through our designated channels.

5. WAIVER & RELEASE

Waiver and Release:
By enrolling at Class Act Studios, participants (or their parent/guardian, if under the age of majority) acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Waiver and Release Agreement. This agreement is a critical part of the registration process and is to be signed electronically, confirming your understanding and acceptance of the risks associated with dance training and related activities.

Acknowledgement of Understanding:
Participants recognize that dance training and the physical activities associated with it involve inherent risks of physical injury. By signing this agreement electronically, you understand and voluntarily accept these risks for yourself or your child.

Waiver and Release:
In consideration of participation in any dance class, workshop, or event at Class Act Studios, you hereby waive, release, and forever discharge Class Act Studios, its officers, directors, employees, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, rights, or causes of action arising from or by reason of any bodily injury or personal injuries known or unknown, death, and/or property damage resulting from, or to result from, any accident, incident, or occurrence arising out of, or in connection with, participation in any class, rehearsal, performance, or activity conducted by or under the auspices of Class Act Studios.

Medical Emergency:
In the event of a medical emergency, you grant Class Act Studios permission to administer first aid and/or seek medical treatment for yourself or your child, as deemed necessary. You agree to be financially responsible for any medical bills incurred as a result of treatment for your child or yourself.

Media Release:
You also grant Class Act Studios the right to use your or your childâ€™s photograph, video, or digital media capture in any promotional materials, publications, or any other non-commercial purposes deemed appropriate by the studio.

6. ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE AGREEMENT

Electronic Signature Agreement:
By checking the "I've read the above and agree" checkbox associated with Class Act Studios' policies, you are engaging in an electronic agreement. This action signifies that you, the participant or the parent/guardian of a participant if under the age of majority, have thoroughly reviewed, fully understood, and agreed to all the policies for which the checkbox has been activated.

Consent and Acknowledgment:

â†’ Legal Binding: You acknowledge that your action of checking the "I've read the above and agree" box serves as your electronic signature, which holds the same legal effect, validity, and enforceability as a traditional paper signature.

This includes, but is not limited to, policies regarding registration, payment, participation, cancellation, and conduct related to Class Act Studios.

Confirmation:
