Full Season: Registration Fee is due at the time of registration and Tuition Fees are due on the 1st of each month from September to June.
Sessional Classes: Full tuition is due at the time of the registration.
Workshops: Tuition for all workshops (including Summer Dance Intensive) are due at the time of registration.
Fees may be paid by Visa, MasterCard or E-Transfer. Please note that all credit card payments are subject to a 2.9% service fee.
Full Season or Sessional Classes:
- Prior the Start of the Season/Session: You may cancel registration any time within 7 days after registration.
- Once the Season/Session has started: Notice must be received by the 15th of the month. After the 15th of the month will have tuition fees charged for the subsequent month. In that case, the student will be welcome to attend class for that period.
Summer Dance Intensive:
- The registration includes a $50.00 non-refundable Admin Fee.
- You may cancel your registration up to 7 days prior to the start of classes and a refund will be given (minus the Admin Fee).
-There are no refunds once classes have started.
All cancellations must be done in writing and delivered in person, by mail, or email. Please note that Registration Fees are non-refundable.
WAIVERS AND RELEASES
Photo/Image: I give consent for images (photographs, video, recordings) of my dependent to be taken and used to document the activities of Class Act Studios. I grant Class Act Studios permission to use the images for educational and promotional purposes. I understand that if I do not want images of my dependent to be used, I will indicate this in writing and the signed letter will be attached to this document.
Medical: In case of physical injury or medical emergency, I hereby authorize Class Act Studios to make necessary arrangements to transport myself or my child to a medical treatment facility as necessary. All such transportation and medical treatment will be at my sole cost and expense. In extreme emergencies, or if my child is under 18 years of age, I understand that Class Act Studios will attempt to notify the person(s) I have named below as my emergency contact(s). If none of the above can be contacted, I hereby give my consent for emergency medical care prescribed by a duly licensed Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Dentistry. This care may be given under whatever conditions are necessary to preserve the life, limb or well-being of myself or my dependent.
Assumption of Risk: I acknowledge and understand that there are possible risks, dangers and hazards associated with participating in dance, acrobatic dance and other related activities, including the possible risk of severe or fatal injury and property loss. I hereby assume these risks which include, but are not limited to: the possibility of physical injury to myself and others such as muscle strain, broken bones, concussion, soft tissue damage, infectious diseases, and cardiac arrest. I certify that my dependent or I (heretofore known as “we”) have not been advised against participating in dance, acrobatic dance or other related activities by a qualified health professional. I acknowledge that Class Act Studios accepts my statements on this release waiver.
Assumption of Risk (Online Classes): I recognize that dance, acrobatic dance and other related activities requires physical exertion, which may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my dependent’s or my (heretofore known as “we” and “ours”) participation in any Online Class. I represent and warrant that we are physically fit and we have no medical condition that would prevent our full participation in Online Classes. In consideration of being permitted to participate in Online Classes, I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which might incur as a result of participating in the program. I understand that recording of Online Classes is strictly prohibited. I agree to not reproduce, sell, share or distribute any recordings of Online Classes. I understand that music used in the videos is not property of Class Act Studios and is for educational purposes only. By signing up or participating in Class Act Studios’ Online Classes does not grant me a license or permission to use third party copyright materials including music. I, my heirs or legal representatives forever release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Class Act Studios and/or its agents for any injury caused by their negligence or other acts.
Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, and Indemnity Agreement: I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, representatives and assigns, hereby forever waive all claims and release, discharge and hold harmless Class Act Studios and their representatives and agents including, without limitation, employees, and all other entities associated or involved in the organization or staging of events or any other activities, including, but not limited to, volunteers, third party vendors, all venues in which activities or segments of activities are held, and the members, officers, directors, employees, representatives, assigns, affiliates, and agents of any of the above (collectively, the “Releases” ); for any and all losses, costs, causes of action, claims or damages, including any claim for damages for personal injury to my person or personal property damage howsoever caused, arising out of or in connection with my taking part in dance, acrobatic dance or other related activities, notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or occasioned by, without limitation, the negligence, breach of contract or breach of any statutory or other duty of care of Class Act Studios, or any of the Releases. I agree not to sue any of the persons or entities mentioned above for any of the claims or liabilities that I have waived, released or discharged herein; and I indemnify and hold harmless Class Act Studios and the Releases from and against any and all losses, claims, suits, actions, damages or liabilities (including without limitation, legal fees and disbursements) assessed against them as a result of or in connection with my actions during, and in connection with, dance or other related activities with Class Act Studios. This Agreement will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan.
THE STUDENT AND GUARDIAN AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:
The Studio reserves the right to combine or cancel any class and that the teachers reserve the right to move my child to a different level if the one they are registered in is not the correct level.
The Studio is a Nut/Peanut Free Facility.
I am aware the Studio has a dress code (available on the website) and failure to comply may lead the dancer to be excused from class.
Students should arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to the start of their class and should be picked up promptly after class. Students should wait for pickup inside the building and not in the parking lot/sidewalk.
Absences must be communicated to the instructors or the Studio Office.
Coats must be properly hung and shoes/boots must be properly placed on the shoe racks provided. No outdoor footwear must be worn past the mud-room/shoe rack area.
Backpacks must not be left in the hallways and should be taken into class with the student.
Absolutely no food or drinks (except water) are allowed in the dance studios
No gum chewing in class.
Noise and running will not be tolerated in the hallway and waiting areas.
Students are encouraged to bring their own (labeled) water bottles for class. Water bottles must not be left at the Studio after class is done as they will be discarded. All Lost & Found items will be donated at the end of each month.
All students must take full responsibility for any personal items brought to the studio. The staff at Class Act Studios will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Students are expected to treat their instructors and Studio Staff with the utmost respect, as they, in turn, will do the same to you.
* * * APPLICABLE TO FULL YEAR SEASON STUDENTS ONLY * * *
A Costume Deposit of $100.00 per costume is due October 1st and are non-refundable after October 1st. Costume balance (including shipping and duties) is approximately $15-$30 (may be $50+ for ballet intermediate and senior students or professional tutus). Costume balances are due March 1st and shall be applied to the credit card on file. Costumes are considered final sale after October 1st and any cancellations after that date will be charged a flat fee of $30.00 per costume.
A Recital Fee of $50.00 is due on October 1st and charged to all students participating in the Year-End Performance in June. Recital Fees help to offset the costs with the production of the show, theatre rental, programs, technicians, staff, etc. Recital Fees are non-refundable after October 1st. The Annual Year-End Performance is held in June. Recital tickets are approximate $25.00 (plus applicable taxes and service fees) and everyone wanting to watch the performance must purchase a ticket.
Due on September 1st and charged to all students enrolled in ballet, jazz, and tap examination classes who will be taking an exam. he fee will be comprised by Entry Fee amount required by the institutions (RAD/ADAPT) for your child's examination level plus an additional fee charged by the Studio to cover expenses with examiner's travelling, accommodations, food, mock exams, etc. Examination Fees are approximate $120-$150 for jazz and tap examinations (depending on the level taken), $130-$165 for graded ballet examinations (Grades 1 to 8), and up to $400 for vocational ballet examinations (Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2). Examination fees are non-refundable after September 1st.
Due on November 1st and charged to all students enrolled in competitive routines. Information on competitive routines and competitions the Studio will be participating is released in September. Competition Fees are approximate $185 for groups, $211 for duos/trios, and $340 for solos. Competition Fees are non-refundable after November 1st.
Due December 1st and charged only to students enrolled in competitive solos, duos, and trios, choreography fees will cover 3 hours of instruction for the creation of the routine. Once the piece has been created, students are responsible for practices.
All Examination students (Ballet, Jazz, and Tap) are required to attend the Examination Intensive Week Workshop from August 24-28.
