SESSION FEES AND AUTO-PAY
1. An annual Registration Fee of $70 per family is due at enrollment.
2. Session begins August 19, 2019. August 2019 will be pro-rated and September 2019 through June 2020 session fees are paid in ten equal monthly installments.
3. Effective September 2019, all accounts will be processed via our automatic monthly payment system (aka, “auto-pay”). We accept Visa/MC/ATM cards. Payments are processed on the 29th of the preceding month. For example, the September fee will be processed on August 29th, and so on.
4. A $15.00 late charge will be added to ALL accounts not paid by the 10th of each month.

5. Prices are determined by the total number of classes taken by all family members. Monthly installments will remain the same whether there are 3, 4 or 5 weeks in a month.
6. Private and Semi-Private Lessons are Available Upon Request. Private rates vary per instructor.
7. The Dance Studio of Fresno and The Dance Studio 2 are separate entities. Fees/credits are not transferrable between businesses.

ADDING / DROPPING CLASSES, REFUNDS AND MAKE-UPS
1. Two weeks (paid) written notice is required to drop a class. Notice must be given to the front desk. Notification to the teacher does not satisfy this requirement. Due to auto-pay processing, please pay careful attention to notification dates.
2. Students and/or parents are responsible for monthly payments until a two-week written notice is given. If such notice is not provided to The Dance Studio of Fresno, payment is due in full for all classes.
3. Students/Parents understand you may be transferred (after enrollment) to classes more appropriate to the Student’s skill level.
4. Make-up classes are allowed August through February. Make-up classes must be taken within 30 days of absence.
5. March 1st through Recital: Make-ups are permitted only in non-Recital classes (due to Recital choreography).
6. You are responsible for payment of monthly installments even if you are planning to miss multiple classes. In the event of non-payment, the dancer’s spot in class may be given to another student. You may be charged another $70 Registration Fee upon returning to the Studio.
7. PLEASE, no ill or feverish children at The Dance Studio of Fresno.

COSTUMES, AUTO-PAY AND RECITAL FEES
1. Costumes generally cost between $65 to $85 each. Costume payments are due by January 31, 2020. Costumes will not be ordered unless your account is current. Costume orders must be placed by February 1, 2020.
2. Effective September 29th (beginning with the October payment) we will collect (via auto-pay) 20% of your estimated costume fees, using an average of $70 costume. Recital costume fees will be collected on the October through February payments in order to place costume orders on February 1st. For example, a student taking one class will pay $14 per month beginning with the October payment. If a student’s total costume fees surpass the amount paid, we will charge the excess to your account which must be paid prior to receipt of the costume. Overpayments for lesser priced costumes will result in a credit to your account. Students who drop classes prior to February 1st will receive account credit for costumes not yet ordered.
3. We are unable to cancel orders or return costumes. Therefore, The Dance Studio of Fresno will not provide refunds for students who are unable or choose not to perform in Recital.
4. Recital Fee plus tickets will be $75 to $95 and payment is due by April 1, 2020. The Dance Studio of Fresno will not give refunds to students who are unable or choose not to perform in the Recital. Account must be paid through the end of the session to pick up Recital tickets.

DRESS CODE
1. Dance attire is required for all classes. Please, no costume jewelry. Children’s combination classes may wear any dance attire.
2. Jeans, jean shorts, overalls, skirts and street clothing are unacceptable. Students in inappropriate dress may be asked to leave class.
3. Ballet: Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior Level students are to wear a black leotard, pink tights and hair in a proper bun. Ballet skirts are permitted, but no shorts are allowed.
4. Jazz students may wear leotards or bra-style crop tops, form-fitting shorts or capris, and proper jazz shoes. No baggie clothing allowed.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
1. The Dance Studio of Fresno is not responsible for any person(s) injured during classes, rehearsals, or other activities conducted on or off the premises. Injured students may be prohibited from participating in classes and/or rehearsals.
2. Please do not leave unattended children (including siblings) at The Dance Studio of Fresno. Parents/guardians are responsible for all minors brought to the Studio. Students should not arrive excessively early and must be picked up within 10 minutes after their class has ended.
3. Email addresses are used for monthly updates and/or special notices of Studio activities/opportunities (not shared with outside parties).
4. The Dance Studio of Fresno uses surveillance cameras in classrooms, the lobby and parking lot. These recordings are not used online, for advertising or social media.
5. Photos and/or video of dancers taken by teachers during classes or other Studio events may be used online or for advertising purposes.
6. The Dance Studio of Fresno may wish dancers Happy Birthday or other congratulations via use of social media (FaceBook Twitter, etc).

January 23, 2020 Update:
This is to advise you of an update from our credit card processors. Effective immediately, there is a minor increase in payment processing largely due to the results of a large class action lawsuit recently settled between merchants and Visa/MC.

First, this change will necessitate we adjust our charge card policy accordingly. Effective with the March tuition (to be processed February 29), there is a 4% convenience charge for charge card payments.

Please know we appreciate you and value your business. This is not an increase to our charges, but rather the processing fee our credit card processors are charging us due to the above referenced class action.
Therefore, we offer some choices:
1. Within the next several weeks, we will be able to accept American Express for payment, which many of you have requested for several years. AmEx has a generous points program which many of you prefer.
2. Also, we will offer ACH processing for those of you who prefer to pay through your checking account, and there is no processing fee adjustment for this service. I do not have ACH processing information, but will have it in the next several weeks.
3. Payment made by cash or check prior to a due date would essentially afford you a cash discount. For families wanting to pay monthly fees by check, Sue’s policy is we collect the entire semester up front, which at this point would be March through June.

If you wish to continue with your current credit card, there will be a minor credit card processing fee applied as follows. (Please note, we do not receive the additional 4% - it routes directly to the credit card providers.)
1 class @ $68.00 will be processed for $70.72
2 classes @ $128.00 will be processed for $133.12
3 classes @ $180.00 will be processed for $187.20
4 classes @ $224.00 will be processed for $232.96
5 classes @ $260.00 will be processed for $270.40

7 classes @ 308.00 will be processed for $320.32

This change will go into effect with your March monthly tuition, which will be processed via autopay on February 29th. Once again, you may update your billing information to a checking account by contacting us in the next several weeks.

2. Per Covid guidelines, we are limited to the number of employees/students onsite. Therefore, parents and siblings are not permitted inside the front gate. Students should not arrive excessively early and must be picked up within 5 minutes after their class has ended. All parents are to use the designated drop-off and pick-up zone in front of the studio.

4. The Dance Studio of Fresno uses surveillance cameras in classrooms, the lobby and parking lot. These recordings are not used online, for advertising or social media.

AMENDMENT TO CHARGE CARD PROCEDURES
This is to advise you of an update from our credit card processors. Effective February 2020, there is a 3.99% convenience charge for charge card payments.

To avoid this fee, you may set up ACH processing through our website, which is essentially an E-check. You may also prepay via cash/check. Please inquire regarding this option.


SAFETY PROTOCOLS 2021-2022
1. Masks are mandatory and to be worn on the premises at all times. All dancers, teachers, staff personnel and visitors are to follow this protocol.
2. Dancers will continue to sanitize their hands before class. Ballet barres and tumbling mats will continued to be wiped down after every class.
3. Parents and siblings are not permitted inside the perimeter fencing unless you have arranged your visit with Sue beforehand. Exceptions to this policy may include parents who help with small children in the classrooms, etc.


VIEWING VISITATION SCHEDULE 2021-2022
A schedule has been created in a format to limit congestion and increased contact within our facility. In an hours period we have all seven rooms in use with students and staff members. Due to occupancy numbers we need to limit the amount of bodies in our building.
We can only allow ONE parent in the building per family. Siblings are Not permitted inside the lobby or in our dancer waiting area in front of the studio. Babies in carriers are an exception. We ask that you please make arrangements for your dancers siblings to be cared for during these classes.

PARENTS OF TODDLERS ONLY 2021-2022
For our combination classes Tap/Ballet, Mommy & Me, Tiny Ballerinas and Hip Hop Flip Flop, we will have teacher assistants in these classes to help with shoe changes and bathroom breaks during the ONE week combo parents are not in the building. Parents of combination classes are allowed in the building every week EXCEPT the week of viewing visitations that your room is not included in. We truly appreciate having you in the building to assist with your little ones. Again, we ask that you please make accommodations to have siblings cared for during your dancers class. Siblings are Not permitted inside the building or inside the fencing.


Completed registration signifies acknowledgement of the above.

*We typically send a broadcast email once per month to outline all pertinent news and policies. The email also includes holiday closures, payment due dates and class exceptions. Additional smaller emails may be sent out during the month (especially as we approach Recital), but those are kept to a minimum.

*DANCE ATTIRE
Dance attire is required for all classes. Please, no costume jewelry.

Mommy & Me and Tap/Ballet students may wear any color Ballet leotard with/without a skirt, pink tights (during cold months) and have hair in a ponytail or pulled back from face. Tap and ballet shoes are required for the Tap/Ballet combination class. Tap shoes should be tied snug to the feet. Strings on ballet shoes need to be tied and tucked into the shoes.

HipHop/Acro dancers should wear Shorts, leotards, and bike-style shorts as appropriate. Wrap-around chiffon skirts are not suitable for gym class.

Ballet: All students in the one-hour Ballet classes are to wear a black leotard, pink tights and hair in a proper bun. Pink, split-sole shoes are preferred for female dancers. Students in Ballet 5-up may wear black Ballet skirts, but skater dresses are not permitted. Bows and jewelry are not appropriate in any Ballet class.

Teacher’s Assistants must wear appropriate attire when assisting in class. Black ballet skirts are permitted, but no shorts are allowed.

Ballet 5-up (only) Monthly Special for the 4th class of each month: Dancers who have perfect Ballet attendance each month (and/or who have documented make-ups for classes missed) may wear any color leotard during class in the 4th week of each month.

Jazz students may wear leotards or bra-style crop tops, form-fitting shorts, leggings or capris, and proper jazz shoes. No baggie clothing allowed.

Boys/Men must wear proper Ballet attire for men in Levels 4-up. For other dance genres, boys will be counseled regarding attire based on age and dance genre.

For all classes: Jeans, jean shorts, overalls, skirts and street clothing are unacceptable in any class. Students in inappropriate dress may be asked to leave class.

*PARKING LOT ETIQUETTE
Absolutely no parking in the parking lot immediately north of us, owned by Facilities Designs. That is a private business and our clientele is not permitted to use that parking lot for any reason. If you park your car in their lot, you may very well be towed as there is signage stating it's for their use only. We request you to partner with us to remain good neighbors. We do not want anyone injured or your cars towed. Mostly, grandparents (and other family members) are not on our email list so please advise them this request. Lastly, please do no use our Handicap parking spaces as a drop off/pick up zone. We do have families that are in need of those designated parking stalls. Please advise those who transport your children of these policies.

The Dance Studio of Fresno is focused on the well-being of its customers and employees. In view of the covid-19 outbreak, we are taking precautionary measures to keep our customers and employees safe. We will allow students who would like to attend class in person to do so. Masks onsite are also voluntary. At this time, in person attendance of classes, rehearsals, or private lessons is entirely voluntary.

Please note: If you or your student is currently suffering from any symptoms such as fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea, please do not come to the studio.

Covid-19 guidelines may be adjusted based on criteria as required by the State of California and/or the City/County of Fresno.
