2022 Terms, Conditions, Policies & Procedures
Registration - An annual non-refundable registration fee of $45.00 or $100.00 for a family (3 or more students) must be paid prior to the first lesson to cover administration costs and intellectual property fees for music. An annual non-refundable Troupe fee of $60.00 for troupe members must be paid for at enrolment to cover extra rehearsals held during the year. A non refundable Advanced Deposit of $30.00 is required upon registration for all Ready Set Dance and Recreational Students which will appear as a credit on your term invoice.
Trial Classes – Ready Set Dance and Recreational students may trial for up to 2 weeks. These trial classes will be charged at the single class rate and is payable at the time of booking the trial. An online portal account registration must be completed prior to the trial.
Invoices - Any student who enrols during the term will receive their invoice within one week of enrolment. All invoices will be emailed. If you do not receive your term invoice within the first two weeks of each term, it is your responsibility to contact the office. There are no excuses for missed payments because invoices were not received.
Payment of Fees - Fees are to be paid for in advanced and are non-refundable. All accounts must have a valid credit or debit card set up in Auto Pay. Credit or Debit cards will be charged via Auto Pay on the dates noted within these terms. Processing Fees apply. If you prefer to finalise your account in person at Reception this must be done prior to the Auto Pay run date or your registered card will be charged. Bank Transfer payments will no longer be accepted.
Credits and Refunds - will not be issued due to missed classes, illnesses (including COVID and required personal quarantining), school events or holidays taken during term, or if you choose not to return during the term for any reason. Fees and credits can not to be transferred to another student or family member. In the case of a serious illness of more than 4 weeks, fees may be credited to another term within the current year of enrolment (medical certificate must be presented as proof). Credits will only be applicable during the registered year. Registration fee and Advanced Deposit is non-refundable for any reason.
Late Penalty – A 10% penalty will be incurred to charges not paid by the due date.
Fees in arrears - Classes may be suspended should fees fall in arrears if all fees are not paid when studio closes for the school term, an additional $30 administration fee will be charged for each term thereafter, until the account is cleared. Students with outstanding fees from 2021 will not be permitted to enrol in 2022 until overdue fees are cleared. Anyone with outstanding balances will not be given costumes nor will they be permitted to perform at the end of year concert. Students with outstanding amounts on their account will not be entitled to private lessons. Extra Private Lessons organised must notify reception and must be paid for in advanced.
Debt Collectors - All Starz reserves the right to pass onto the client any fees or charges incurred on recovering any outstanding accounts that have been passed onto our debt collection agency.
Compulsory Costume Levy - For each class performed in our concerts in December, a costume levy must be paid. See info pack for prices and further details. Costume levies, must be paid at the same time as class fees each term. This will not include Acrobatics, Stretch and Strength, Glee Club and Acting Classes. Cost of the Concert costumes is subject to change but is currently estimated between $90.00 and $100.00 each. If the costume goes over budget, you may be required to cover the difference. Costume levies for cancelled classes can be credited to class fees of the current registered year provided that they have not been ordered and cancellation has occurred before Monday 18th July 2022. Costume Levy Credits cannot be transferred to another student or family member. In the case of un-enrolment or deferment please be aware that the costume deposit will not be refundable or transferable once payment has been received.
Withdrawals and Refunds - You may withdraw from any of your classes or change disciplines within the first two weeks of Term 1, 2 and 3 only. If payment has been made within this time, fees can be credited to another discipline or term. Fee Credits cannot to be transferred to another student or family member. You must notify administration IN WRITING of any changes made in the first two weeks otherwise you must wait until end of term and therefore are obligated to pay in full that term’s tuition (email email@example.com). Withdrawals will not be accepted over the phone, verbally at Reception or with a teacher. Non attendance is not considered to be an official withdrawal and tuition will still be due and payable. Private lessons cancellations must be made within 24 hrs of the lesson otherwise you will be charged for the class. Class cancellations or changes may not occur in Term 4.
Trial Classes – Ready Set Dance and Recreational students may trial for up to 2 weeks. These trial classes will be charged at the single class rate and is payable at the time of the trial. A registration form must be completed prior to the trial.
If the student continues after the trial or enrols without trialling, they are required to pay our Advanced Deposit of $30.00 and the Registration Fee of $40.00. Class fees will then be invoiced pro-rata for the remaining weeks of the term. Costume levies are payable from the beginning of the year, so catch up instalments will be invoiced for all previous Terms up to and including the current Term.
Make up classes - Make up classes will be held only if All Starz cancels class during the dance year due to an unforeseen event. Should the studio be closed due to COVID (for either deep cleaning or forced shutdown), make up classes will be offered. It will be at the discretion of the Studio Directors whether classes will be made up at a later date or immediately transferred to an online platform (e.g. Zoom). Online/Zoom classes will be charged at the normal class fee and no discounts, credits or fee deductions will be offered.
Dress Code - All Starz uniform and dance shoes, appropriate to class style, must be worn to all classes. Student’s hair must be secured away from the face and neck. No street shoes on dance floor except for hip hop. Street shoes worn for hip hop must be clean and free of debris. Failure to wear required dancewear/shoes to class could result in students being asked to sit out of the class. For safety reasons dancers are not permitted to wear jewellery.
Concert - The Concert is NOT compulsory but if the child will NOT be participating in the annual concert, All Starz must be given written notification by the 18th July 2022. Please be aware that each student will be charged a non-refundable rehearsal fee to all students to cover the cost of the auditorium, technicians and other costs - price is specific to each stream and noted in each Information Pack. All students participating in the concert are required to attend all rehearsals and performances. Every child will be invoiced for a Concert T-shirt which is used for the finale of the concert. The following year this T-shirt may be used as part of their uniform. Please note: Concert T-shirt is compulsory for all concert participants.
Digital Concert Costs - Each student participating in the concert will be invoiced for Digital Concert Costs in Term 4. This cost includes the copyright licence fee for each child and the cost of producing and editing the footage and is expected to be between $38-$42 depending on the licence fees at the time. Every parent will be provided with a link to download the concert to keep forever! This link can be shared with family and friends however due to music licence and child protection laws, concert routines cannot be shared or uploaded on any social media or public platform (including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, You-Tube etc).
General Etiquette - All students are expected to be well-behaved, courteous, honest, and to abide by the rules of All Starz. Attitudes that are disrespectful, uncooperative, or aggressively competitive do not have a place at All Starz. Any parent or student exhibiting these attitudes will be asked to leave. All Starz expects all dancers to conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful to others and to themselves. Students will not make comparisons to each other or speak negatively about one another or the instructors. NO FOOD OR DRINKS (except water) is permitted in the studios, dressing rooms, hallways or bathrooms. Keep food and drinks confined to the cafe area. CHEWING GUM IS NEVER ALLOWED AT ALL STARZ!! NO foul language or swearing in class or in the studio. NO smoking, alcohol, or drugs allowed on premises. NO mobile phones, toys/distractions in any dance class.
Care of Students - All Starz is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. All Starz accepts no responsibility for children who are not students visiting the studio premises. All children/students should be chaperoned at all times when not in class or visiting the studio. All Starz is not responsible for dancers that leave the premises unattended by an adult, so please ensure you are waiting to collect your child prior to the end of their class. For the safety of the children please note that the driveway is NOT intended as a parking space! When you park in the driveway you block the safe/convenient drop off/pick up point for dancers and parents.
Ready Set Dance - Parents of Pre Schooler children must remain at the studio during their child's class. Parents should remind their children to use the restroom and have a drink of water before class, these students should be picked up from their classroom at the end of their class.
Health of Students - We accept Students on the assumption that they are in good health and fitness. It is your responsibility to notify All Starz of any medical complaint or history suffered by the Student that may prevent the student from engaging in any physical or active or passive exercise or routine. I give permission for my child to receive medical treatment in the case of an emergency.
Student/Instructor Interaction - Please be advised that the study of dance involves physical contact. Instructors will often need to make hands-on contact to adjust students’ alignment and to demonstrate proper motion. Students should keep the faculty informed of any recent illness, injury, or other condition that may interfere with class work. All Teachers employed at All Starz have a verified Working With Children’s Check in place.
Co-Parenting – Where there is a co-parenting arrangement in place, All Starz is happy to send emails to both parents when both parents are nominated on the child’s registration, however we do not manage co-payments. The parent enrolling the student is responsible for payments irrespective of co-parenting agreements. Please ensure all fees are paid when due. All Starz is unable to engage in discussion or written correspondence on behalf of either co-parent or to a third party.
Parent’s Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events - It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of all school activities, such as open days, concerts, competitions, extra classes, and dates the school is open or closed. The school will post all such notices on social media/app, closed facebook groups and in newsletters. It is the parent’s responsibility to regularly check these mediums to ensure they are informed. It is the responsibility of the parents or adult students to inform the school of any address or telephone number change. Parents are not to satisfy their queries with teachers during class time. You can call the Studio at any time to discuss your queries or arrange an appointment to meet with the Studio Directors.
Injuries/loss/Damage - It is understood that the risk of physical injury is inherent in dance training. Parents, legal guardians of minors, students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on studio property resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after class time and in any Shows, Concerts and Performances in which they may participate. Students and adult students participate at his/her own risk and will not hold All Starz responsible for any loss, damage or theft of any personal belongings while attending All Starz.
Copyright - All Starz have full copyright ownership over all choreography, costume designs, lesson programs, choreography/dance steps taught to student in class & the All Starz name/s & logo/s. Performances may not be recorded in any medium whatsoever, & may not be performed without prior written consent by the principal. It is an infringement of copyright to reproduce, communicate, publish or perform all or a substantial part of a piece of choreography, unless All Starz has given permission.
SOLOISTS – Any choreography taught at All Starz by our faculty and/or guest teachers must not be used or performed outside of All Starz, without prior written consent of the Directors. This extends to soloists who leave to join another studio.
All Starz Exclusivity - Troupe students are expected to receive all their dance training exclusively at All Starz. This includes (but is not limited to) singing, acrobatics, acting and dance classes. Any students who wish to participate in events organised or co-ordinated by other dance schools or companies (performances, open classes etc) must have prior written approval by the Studio Directors prior to participation.
Photo/Video/DVD Release – All Starz is hereby granted permission to take photographs and videos of my child to use in brochures, web sites, social media, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials the school creates. There is to be no protest of any such use or receive compensation of any type for the use of these pictures. Permission is also hereby granted for the school to copyright such photographs, video links and DVD’s in its name.
Please Keep your Records up to Date - Please ensure that you keep us promptly informed of any change to your contact and address. All Starz communicates information via email and as part of your registration you must have a valid email account.
MailChimp Subscription – Your enrolment includes subscription to the All Starz and Ready Set Dance Mail Lists sent periodically via MailChimp.
First Aid - All Starz staff and teachers are trained in basic first aid and will administer it when required. Please advise the studio in writing if you do not wish for additional aid to be administered to your child. This may include, but is not limited to, providing a heat and/or ice pack and giving the recommended dosage of paracetamol and/or ibuprofen.
Covid Safe - All Starz is a registered COVID Safe Business. Our COVID Safe Plan is available from our Parent Portal and will be distributed periodically. It is also available upon request.
Information Pack – The Information Pack contains specific information about each stream (i.e. Ready Set Dance, Recreational & Troupe). All parents agree to read and abide to all Policies and Terms and Conditions which are outlined in each Information Pack.
ALL STARZ RESERVES THE RIGHT to expel a student for behaviour problems excessive lateness, absence or behaviour inappropriate for dancers. Failure to comply with the above rules/regulations will result in a conference with the director/s. Refusal to cooperate after the meeting may result in suspension and /or dismissal from All Starz. All Starz reserves the right to refuse service and/or admission. These policies and procedures may be amended at any time without notice. Changes may be posted on the website, private facebook page, parent portal and/or via Email.
Troupe Registrations - Parents of students enrolled in our Troupe stream also agree to the additional terms and conditions specific to Troupe members. A copy of the Troupe Contract is available from the Studio.
I/We hereby authorise DSP Merchant Services to make periodic debits on behalf of All Starz Pty Ltd.
I/We acknowledge that DSP Merchant Services is acting as a Direct Debit Agent for All Starz Pty Ltd and that DSP Merchant Services does not provide any goods or services and has no express or implied liability in regards to the goods and services provided by All Starz Pty Ltd or the terms and conditions of any agreement with All Starz Pty Ltd.
I/We acknowledge that DSP Merchant Services and All Starz Pty Ltd will keep any information (including credit card details) confidential.
DSP Merchant Services and All Starz Pty Ltd will make reasonable efforts to keep information such as phone number, email address and other personal information secure.
We will only disclose information that we have about you:
(a) to the extent specifically required by law; or
(b) for the purposes of this agreement (including disclosing information in connection with any query or claim).
I/We acknowledge that the amount owing will be debited from my/our debit or credit in accordance with the fees as displayed on my/our statement and in my/our parent portal, this Agreement and the terms and conditions of the agreement with All Starz Pty Ltd.
I/We acknowledge that card details have been verified against a physical card to ensure accuracy of the details provided. If uncertain you should contact your financial institution.
I/We acknowledge that it is my/our responsibility to ensure that there is sufficient cleared funds in the nominated card by the due date to enable the direct debit to be honoured on the debit date. Direct debits normally occur immediately; however transactions can take up to three (3) business days depending on your financial institution.
I/We acknowledge and agree that sufficient funds will remain in the nominated account until the direct debit amount has been debited from the account and that there are sufficient funds available.
I/We agree that DSP Merchant Services will not be held responsible for any fees and charges that may be charged by your financial institution.
I/We Acknowledge that there may be a delay in processing if:
1) There is a public or bank holiday on the day, or any day after the debit date
2) A payment request is received by DSP Merchant Services on a day that is not a Banking Business Day
3) A payment request is received after normal operational hours, being 2.30pm Monday to Friday. Any payments that fall due on any of the above will be processed on the next business day.
I/We authorise All Starz Pty Ltd to vary the amount of the payments from time to time as provided for within the Terms and Conditions I/we have agreed to.
I/We authorise DSP Merchant Services to vary the amount of the payments upon instructions from All Starz Pty Ltd.
I/We do not require DSP Merchant Services to notify me/us of such variations to the debit amount.
I/We acknowledge that the total amount billed will be for the specified period for this and/or subsequent agreements and/or amendments.
I/We acknowledge that All Starz Pty Ltd can vary the terms of the debit arrangements and will communicate this accordingly.
I/We acknowledge that variations to the debit arrangement will be directed to All Starz Pty Ltd.
I/We acknowledge that any request to stop or cancel the debit arrangement will be directed to All Starz Pty Ltd.
I/We acknowledge that any disputed debit payments will be directed to All Starz Pty Ltd. If no resolution is forthcoming you are advised to contact your financial institution.
I/We acknowledge that if a debit is returned by my/our financial institution as unpaid, I/We will be responsible for any fees and charges for each unsuccessful debit in addition to any financial institution charges and collection fees, including and not limited to any solicitor fees and collection agent fees appointed by DSP Merchant Services and/or All Starz Pty Ltd.
I/We authorise DSP Merchant Services to attempt to re-process any unsuccessful payments as advised by All Starz Pty Ltd.
I/We acknowledge that if specified by All Starz Pty Ltd, a setup, variation, dishonour, SMS or processing fees may apply as instructed by All Starz Pty Ltd.
1) The Debit User to verify details of my/our account with my/our financial institution
2) The Financial Institution to release information allowing the Debit User to verify my/our account details
I/We acknowledge the surcharge/convenience fee charged by DSP Merchant Services is 2.5%.
I/We agree to pay a Dishonour Fee of $5.50 should a payment fail.
I/We agree that if my/our Payment is Dishonoured, I/we agree to pay the full amount of fees.
I/We agree that if my/our Payment is Dishonoured, I/we agree to pay the full amount of fees PLUS the Late Fee as outlined in the All Starz Terms and Conditions if the Payment is debited after the Term's Due Date.
I/We acknowledge that Auto-Pay payments are non-refundable.
Troupe Costumes will be deducted on an ad hoc basis as notified at the time of the cost being incurred.
Please ensure you check your statement prior to the above date/s and inform us of any discrepancies.
