Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By enrolling in the classes and programs offered by Turning Point Dance, you (the "Student" and/or the parent/legal guardian of the Student) agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:
Enrolment Duration:
a. Enrolment is for a full school year, which typically consists of four terms. The specific start and end dates for each term will be communicated by Turning Point Dance at the start of the year.
Administration/Enrolment Fee:
a. An administration/enrollment fee of $65.00 per year shall apply to each student at the time of enrollment.
b. For families with multiple students enrolling, a discounted fee structure applies:
i. A fee of $33.00 per year applies for the 2nd student. ii. A fee of $22.00 per year applies for the 3rd student.
Amenities Levy:
a. An Amenities Levy will be applied per term as a substitute for fundraising efforts.
b. The amount of the Amenities Levy is based on the number of classes in which the student is enrolled.
i. A Levy of $25.00 per term applies for a student doing 1 - 2 classes.
ii. A Levy of $30.00 per term applies for a student doing 3 classes.
iii. A Levy of $40.00 per term applies for a student doing 4 classes.
iv. A Levy of $50.00 per term applies for a student doing unlimited (5 or more) classes.
Costume Club Fee:
a. A Costume Club Fee will be applied per term.
b. The Costume Club Fee is $30 per genre of dance, with a maximum limit of $150 per student per term.
c. The genres include ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary. Please note that students who are enrolled in unlimited classes will require two costumes for ballet.
d. The funds collected through the Costume Club Fee will be used to cover the expenses associated with the creation and alteration of costumes for the end-of-year performance. This includes purchasing fabrics and materials, as well as having the costumes made and tailored to fit the students.
e. Expensive costumes may be rented to students to reduce costs, and these rented costumes will remain the property of the school. The hiring fees cover the cleaning, storing, repairing and altering of the costumes.
f. Turning Point Dance will make every effort to keep the costume expenses as close as possible to the amount that a student/family has paid in Costume Club fees, however it is important to note that we cannot guarantee that all costumes will fall within this price limit.
Certain costumes may exceed the amount that a student/family has paid in Costume Club fees, in which case the difference will be invoiced to the student/family.
g. If the final cost is lower than the amount a student/family has paid in Costume Club fees, a refund will be issued or can be used towards other fees.
h. The funds held in a student's Costume Club Account will be refunded if they unenrol from Turning Point Dance.
i. The Costume Club Fee may be waived if a family anticipates that their child will not be participating in the end-of-year performance. However, it is important to note that if the family changes their mind, they will be responsible for covering the full cost of the costume at the end of the year.
Fee Payment:
a. All fees must be paid by the first Saturday of each term.
b. Turning Point Dance will provide the payment due dates for each term.
c. Failure to submit fees by the specified due date will incur a late fee of $50.00.
d. Turning Point Dance reserves the right to recover any costs associated with the collection of outstanding fees or Costume Club charges.
Early Bird Discount:
a. Turning Point Dance offers an Early Bird Discount of $22.00 to students who complete their enrollment and submit full payment by a specified early bird deadline.
b. The Early Bird Discount of $22.00 will be deducted from the total tuition fees when calculating the amount due.
c. The early bird discount only applies to the tuition fee and does not extend to other fees such as costume club and amenities levy.
d. Turning Point Dance will communicate the early bird deadline to eligible students and their parents/guardians.
e. To qualify for the Early Bird Discount, full payment must be received by Turning Point Dance on or before the early bird deadline.
Partial Term Enrollment:
a. If a student enrolls partway through the term, the tuition fees will be adjusted accordingly to reflect the number of weeks the student will be attending classes within the current term.
b. For subsequent terms, the student will be required to pay the full tuition fees for the entire term.
Fee Adjustments:
a. Once the term has commenced, no adjustments to fees will be made if a student drops classes.
b. Any classes missed due to illness, holidays, or other commitments are non-refundable. However, students may request a make-up class, which can be joined at the discretion of Turning Point Dance.
Withdrawal Notification:
a. If a student will no longer be attending Turning Point Dance, written notice must be provided via email to office@tpdance.com.au.
b. The notice should be sent no later than week 8 of the current term to allow sufficient time for administrative processing.
c. In the event of a serious medical condition or unforeseen circumstances, alternative arrangements can be made. Please contact the office immediately to discuss and implement appropriate arrangements.
d. Failure to provide written notification of withdrawal by week 8 of the current term and without reasonable cause will result in tuition fees and amenities levy for the following term becoming payable.
Class Schedule:
a. Turning Point Dance reserves the right to modify the class schedule, including dates, times, and locations, with prior notice.
b. Turning Point Dance may cancel or reschedule classes due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather or instructor unavailability. In such cases, Turning Point Dance will make reasonable efforts to provide make-up classes or alternative arrangements.
c. Students will progress to the next Grade/level after the RAD Exams held in mid-Term 3. As a result, there may be a need for a change in class schedule for some students to accommodate the transition to higher grades. Turning Point Dance strives to minimize such changes to the extent possible.
