Terms & Conditions for 2024.
PLEASE NOTE: Registration Fees & Term Fee’s are not applicable for our Drop In Classes, Casual Classes, Yoga, Events & Workshops.
ENROLMENT
- A Non Refundable Registration Fee of $40 incl GST must be paid within 48 hours of registering to secure your position, or before commencing any classes, whichever comes first. Registration Fees capped at $100 for families with multiple children enrolled.
-Registration into classes enrolls the student for the entire year. You must give 2 weeks written notice of your intention not to return before the new term starts or term fees for the new term will be due and payable.
TRIAL CLASSES:
- If you are booking a trial class, the above mentioned fee's will be due and payable should you enroll after your trial class.
- One trial class permitted per style. The single lesson rate will be charged per trial, with a cap at $25.00 incl GST. Current Students will not incur a fee for trials.
FEE'S, REFUNDS & MISSED LESSONS:
- Chrystal Lee School of Dance will use the Parent Portal system to issue charges for each term's fee's. Fee payments, will be the parents/guardians responsibility, unless the Student is old enough to register themselves..
- Term fees must be paid prior to commencement of classes.
- Fees are non-refundable if a student leaves prior to the end of term.
- Special circumstances that request a refund are dealt with on a case by case basis, and must be presented in writing and are at the discretion of Chrystal Lee School of Dance.
-Late payments will incur a 10% charge of the total owing, if not paid by week 3. If not paid by week 5 the fee's will be sent to a debt collection agency and any additional administration and debt collection charges will be added to the account.
-Rarely we have to cancel classes, however if we are required to do so,, due to teacher unavailability, weather or another unforeseen circumstance, the class will be rescheduled at a later date. or a credit applied, at the discretion of the studio owner.
-If a student misses a lesson and provide minimum 1 hours notice via email or text prior to their lesson, they are eligible for a catch up lesson and are able to attend another suited lesson during the same year, while ever they are enrolled.
COMMUNICATION:
- It is the parents/guardians responsibility to inform Chrystal Lee School of Dance on any postal, phone or email changes. Changes can also be made on your Parent Portal.
- If any inappropriate communication either via electronic or verbal communication, to any Stakeholder of Chrystal Lee School of Dance, Chrystal Lee School of Dance reserves the right to terminate all relations with parents/students, immediately and claim all outstanding monies for services rendered.
- Please ensure that the Emergency Contact on the enrolment form is someone other than the Primary Contact. The Emergency Contact will only be called in case of Emergency and unable to get in contact with the Primary Contact.
- In an unavoidable delay, or Emergency, please call 0424 177 976 and advise of your delay. for safety reasons, your Child will be waiting inside the classroom. Once you arrive, please knock and open the door quietly. Your Child can then leave with you.
UNIFORM:
- Chrystal Lee School of Dance requires all students to be dressed according to the uniform policy. Students must wear correct uniform to all classes as of commencement date or as soon as possible. We are a modest studio and are against midriffs and make up on school age children in class.
CLASSES & CHOREOGRAPHY:
-Chrystal Lee School of Dance teachers have full decision making rights of what is presented in classes, watching days and concert work. If there are any concerns or queries, please put in writing to the owner.
- Chrystal Lee School of Dance requires regular attendance from enrolled students. If ongoing absent days, students may risk missing opportunities for performances and examinations.
-On the odd occasion that a regular Teacher is unavailable, Chrystal Lee School of Dance reserves the right to reschedule classes, provide a substitute teacher or combine classes at any time..
-We do not allow parents to watch classes in order to maintain dancer concentration and focus. Rubies are the only classes where parents are allowed in the dance space.
-Students are required to wait quietly outside of the dance space prior to commencement of class with parental/guardian supervision.
- Students under 16 years are not to leave the premises unless accompanied by a Parent/Guardian, unless Parent's have provided instruction in writing.
- Student's who are left unattended outside their class times are not the responsibility of Chrystal Lee School of Dance Staff Members, therefore please avoid dropping off too early.
- Usually we do not run classes on Public Holiday's. If we intend to run a class on a Public Holiday you will be advised in advance.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOS:
-STRICTLY no personal photography or videoing is allowed at any rehearsals or during class time. This is for the Protection of our Students, and our programs.
- Occasionally we take videos and photos of classes for advertising purposes or to share with Parent's for practice purposes. Please ensure you select no videos or photographs upon enrolling, if you do not consent to this.
WATCHING CLASSES:
- Our Studio is fitted with viewing windows in the waiting room, and most of the time we leave the blind open. This allows the parents to peek in on their children.
-Rubies are allowed one adult per child in the classroom during regular lessons. Siblings are permitted in the classroom if they are required to come, as long as they are not a distraction to class members.
- If you wish to bring another Family member to watch a Shine Bright class to see your child dance, please put your request in writing.
-Teachers of Chrystal Lee School of Dance have the right to sit a child out from class should any bullying or non-tolerated behavior occur. If non-tolerated behavior is continuous, Chrystal Lee School of Dance reserves the right to terminate all relations with parents or students, immediately and claim all outstanding monies for services rendered.
PERFORMANCES:
-All performance fees are non-refundable once agreed to.
-A $66 incl GST End of year Performers Fee is required in Term 3 and is non-refundable. This includes a professional video supplied by downloadable link, Stage Rehearsal & Medal. For Families with multiple students, per additional Student, the Performers Fee is $44 incl GST.
-Costumes will incur a hire levy of $33 incl GST per costume and will remain the property of CLSOD, unless there is an option to buy.
- No trophies, medallions, Video's or photographs will be issued to parents who are in breach of these terms & conditions of enrollment for Chrystal Lee School of Dance.
-Students are to be available for all rehearsals unless reasons provided to Chrystal Lee School of Dance in writing, and approved by the owner.
FOOD & DRINK:
-Water is the only drink allowed in the Studio. and strictly no food allowed in the dance space.
- Healthy snacks can be brought for Students at the Studio for a long period of time and are to be consumed in the office area. or waiting room. NO NUTS.
- Food brought to any Studio events, such as rehearsals, is to be healthy and NO NUTS.
- Although we have a NO NUTS Policy, we cannot assure that our premises is nut free.
SAFETY:
- We provide a safe facility and waiting environment to our Staff and Student's.
- We expect all Students to act safely while waiting for class.
- Should an injury occur, one Staff Member at the studio at any time will be trained to administer first aid. Should you require any further information please email or phone.
