Online Registration, Tuition, and Studio Policies and Procedures 2018-2019
Grace In Motion holds a 9 month school year from September through May. Students may register for lessons until November 15th of 2018. Missed lessons or classes ONLY due to late registration will be pro-rated. The Studio does not issue refunds or credits due to illness, vacation, religious observation, extended travel, or any other reason.
TUITION AND FEES
I understand, in order to register my first payment includes the 1st month of tuition and a registration fee of $15.00 per family.
I understand tuition is a yearly fee and must be paid before student attends class. As a convenience, tuition is broken down into 9 payments. Tuition remains the same regardless of whether it is a 5-week month or a shortened month due to holidays. Tuition is not pro-rated, refunded or credited for missed classes or holidays. I understand tuition is based upon the class price. I understand payment may be made by credit card, automatic withdraw or cash. I understand my account is due by the 10th of the month and if it is not paid, a $10 late fee will be added on the 11th. I understand any returned check or returned EFT debit will incur a $25.00 bank charge.
I understand once a check has been returned for non-payment only CASH will be accepted. I understand students will not be able to participate or remain enrolled in class if tuition is not current or if a payment plan has not been arranged. I understand my child will only be able to observe class. I understand Tuition and Registration Fees are Non Refundable. I understand I must email the office if I am stopping lessons. If this is not done before the 1st of the upcoming month, my monthly tuition must be paid. I understand correspondence will be via email. GIM does not send statements. Payments are due according to my payment schedule.
GIM reserves the right to combine classes or shorten class duration subject to enrollment. We also make every effort not to cancel a class, however when enrollment for a class is under 5 students, a class may be cancelled.
EXTREME WEATHER OR UNEXPECTED INTERRUPTION OF CLASSES
If the studio must cancel classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control, make-ups can be offered in a similar class that meets during the week and up to parents to schedule that. Call the studio, check Facebook, twitter and Instagram as well as our studio blog for a message to find out if classes are cancelled.
All students are automatically registered for the recital. If you decide not to participate in the End of the Year Recital, you must notify the studio office by November 1st.
A deposit of 1/2 costume is due by October 15th. Once a costume is ordered your deposit is non-refundable.
All costume balances are due by November 10th, 2018.
Any costume payments received after November 30th, a $10.00 late fee per month will be assessed to your account. There may be minor alterations such as hook & eye and hemming, etc. that you will be responsible for.
PARENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO BE AWARE OF DATES AND EVENTS
I understand it is the parent's responsibility to be aware of all school activities, such as observation days, recitals, extra classes, and dates the school is open or closed. The school will post all such notices on the bulletin board as well as emailing reminders home to parents. I understand it is the parent's responsibility to regularly check these boards and emails to ensure they are informed.
DANCE CLASS ETIQUETTE
It is important to be on time for class in order to take part in proper warm up for dance movement. Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Hair must be up and pulled back off of face and neck. Failure to wear required dancewear to class will result in students have a three strikes and you’re out policy. Students are not permitted to wear jeans or shoes worn on the street or outdoors, to any dance class.
