2021 Terms and Conditions By submitting your 2021 registration form, you are stating that you have read & clearly understand all terms & conditions of WestEnd Performing Arts 2021 & agree to follow them. You understand that failure to do so will result in your lessons being discontinued. Please be reminded that only with the fulfilment of financial commitments by everyone can WestEnd Performing Arts continue to provide first class tuition for all students. Parents • A administration fee of $25 per dancer is required at enrolment. This is non-refundable. • You cannot freeze your payments during any period of the agreement or action will be taken to recover funds owed. • If a student ceases classes, written notification must be given with 28 days notice to cease direct debit. • There will be no discounts or refunds for missed classes. Classes missed due to illness can be made up in another class of appropriate level within the same term. Overhead costs continue regardless of how many students attend classes, therefore there can be no refunds for classes not attended. • Classes cannot be made up when social or school activities clash. • If a tuition payment is more than 3 days late, a $20 Penalty will be incurred per week until payment settled. If the payment has not been received by due date the student will not be admitted into classes. Anyone with outstanding balances will NOT be permitted to perform at the end of year concert • All unpaid fees will be sought by a Debt Collector AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CLIENT. • Private lessons cancellations must be made within 24 hrs of the lesson otherwise you will be charged for the class. Students with outstanding amounts on their account will not be entitled to private lessons. • No smoking is allowed in or around any area of WestEnd Performing Arts Studio. • All parents are responsible for checking the online noticeboard on our website at least once a week. Our Facebook page has constant updates & daily news, we strongly urge you to become a part of this page. We also use the “Team App’†for your phone with important dates and updates. • Photographs & videos are often taken during class. These may be used for advertising purposes or to be displayed around the studio. Students • All students & parents must behave in a respectable manner towards all staff members of WEPA both inside the studio & out. Any kind of rude or disrespectful behaviour will result in the immediate expulsion of the student, forfeiting any term or advance payment. • All students & parents must respect all decisions made by the principal of the studio. • All students are required to wear full studio uniform to every lesson. We do not “gloss over†students that attend lesson out of uniform. We firmly believe it is an important part of learning as it encourages a sense of discipline & reminds us of our duty as a student. Be proud to wear the clothes that represent your studio! Both the child & parent are equally responsible for ensuring the child has a neat & tidy appearance at all lessons. This includes correct uniform, shoes & hair in a bun,– all clearly displayed on the uniform page of the website. No jewellery, watches etc are to be worn. Any student who arrives to class out of uniform will be asked remove the item or remove themselves from class. • Students should arrive early to all lessons & be ready & waiting for when your teacher is ready. Lateness is not appreciated. We do understand how busy & hectic life is but please remember your commitment to your class. If, for any reason, you enter a class late, manners are expected: a quick apology to your teacher will go a long way! Continued tardiness will need to be discussed with your teacher. • All students must be supervised outside of the classroom. Siblings must be supervised at all times. WEPA does not take responsibility for any student whilst outside your lesson time. • STRICTLY NO FOOD is allowed in any dance studio. • All students must be picked up immediately at the end of the class – especially if you are the last lesson of the evening. It is unfair to keep any teacher waiting to go home. • No chewing gum is allowed in any part of the studio, including the waiting area. WEPA • WEPA cannot be held responsible for any injuries that occur on the premises. • WEPA cannot be held responsible for any property lost or damaged on the premises. • WEPA reserve the right to update the weekly timetable as needed without notice. All updates are displayed online.
GENERAL POLICIES Our classes rely on a positive atmosphere with cooperation and support from parents Showing respect is essential It is imperative that all teacher’s time at the studio is focused on the classes at hand All queries must be directed to WEPA via email only Parents are to advise WEPA (in advance when possible) if their child will be absent from class Parents are encouraged to focus on their own child's progress and help their child avoid comparing themselves to other children. Watch for this behavior in your child as well and encourage them to focus on their own dance journey We all share a common goal to create a happy, healthy learning environment for all and most importantly HAVE FUN! If you have any concerns about any aspect of the school, please contact Anna via email so that those concerns can be addressed STUDENT BEHAVIOUR All WEPA students are required to attend all classes and punctuality is important Students must, as a courtesy, apologise when interrupting a class or arriving late Students must be respectful towards their teachers at all times All students must always encourage each other and support their peers We all reserve the right to feel welcome, safe and part of our community whilst at the studios WEPA will not tolerate any form of bullying or harassment by students, families or staff WEPA will not tolerate behavior that affects and disrupts the learning of others COMMUNICATION POLICY All communication to WEPA is to be via email, or WEPA's public Facebook Messenger. In an emergency please call WEPA on 0477 999 670 Phone calls, text messaging or Facebook messages to staff's personal numbers and accounts are not an accepted form of communication. Please communicate all studio communication through the proper channels. Parents/Guardians are responsible for checking emails for information and account statements distributed by WEPA It is the responsibility of each family to read and understand all information WEPA encourage families to join our Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as Band App. (For Band App access, please speak to our office staff or your teacher) FEES POLICY I/We authorise and request EziDebit to debit payments from my/our account as specified below at intervals and amounts as directed by WestEnd PErforming Arts as per the terms and conditions of my agreement with WestEnd Performing Arts and in accordance with the Direct Debit Request and the EziDebit DDR Service Agreement. All fees must be paid in advance by a monthly direct debit via the bank account or credit card details you provided upon enrolment, or by term in advance in the first week of each term. If you do not do this the student will not be permitted to participate in the class. Outstanding debts will be forwarded to our debt collection agency. If you are unable to make payment on the scheduled date simply contact the office (at least 48 hours prior to the debit) and we will happily reschedule your debit date and you will avoid the dishonour fee All fees are inclusive of GST. A tax invoice will be issued to each family at the end of each term for the following term or upon enrolment. WEPA requires a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice in writing, to cancel or change a student’s enrolment details and associated payments. Fees are neither refundable nor transferable between students or terms. Students MUST dance from home if they are unwell. WEPA will provide dance instruction via Zoom class links. There will be no refunds for students not attending class due to illness AND/OR if government restrictions require us to stop face-to-face learning. If government imposed restrictions require us to once again close our doors we will revert to immediate online learning platforms. By enrolling with WEPA you are agreeing to this approach and understand that you will not be refunded for any fees paid. If a student is going to be away for extended periods of time (i.e. 4 weeks or more within one term) discounted fees may be applied for in advance. These arrangements must be made prior to the commencement of term and discounts will be at the discretion of the Principal. Discounts will not be available for those classes with waiting lists in place.
